I wholeheartedly recommend JCMSOG. I found JCMSOG when I was looking for a Montessori school because my child was not well cared for at his previous preschool. We visited several Montessori schools, but none of them appealed to my husband and me as much as this one. The spacious playground, classes, and smiling children were very impressive. My child is sensitive, and to help him settle in, they asked him what he liked on the first day and had whale and shark toys for him. My child is receiving good care at the school and is involved in many activities. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the teachers at JCMSOG.

I am the Assistant Director of Johns Creek Montessori School, but I have to say that I drive an hour every day because of how much I love being a part of this school. My daughter (4 years) is thriving and learning new skills every day. She loves the school, her teachers, and her friends. We are so thankful to be part of the JCMSOG community. I love how I have a community of like-minded people where I feel supported.

REVIEW UPDATE 6/5/22 - I wrote my original review in April 2021. See below. Writing a quick update 2 years later. :)As of today (June '22) we are very pleased with JCMSOG. Our son has been there for just over 2 years and he is thriving. The staff continues to treat him with such kindness and compassion.April 2021 Review:After months of research, calls and visits there was no doubt that JCMSOG would be our pick for our son's schooling. From the get go, we were provided with comprehensive information, we spoke to several people on staff and we also had an opportunity to see the school in action (both virtually and in person). School Director, Miss Debra is phenomenal! She jumped on calls with us more times than I can remember. She gave us the chance to interview teachers online! Finally, the in person school tour sealed the deal as we were able to see the montessori set up before us. Everything was so meticulously put in place according to the child's class/age. Our son took an instant liking. This was all before we even joined the school.Upon joining, Ms. Debra and staff stood by us with such patience, enthusiasm and care. Knowing this was our first time putting our son (a pandemic raised baby), they held our hands the whole time. They kept us in the know with calls, texts and pictures. They truly exceeded our expectations.Several months in, we are thrilled to see the progress with our son. He thrives in school. He adores his teachers (Miss Ji and others!). He is exposed to new work stations daily and Miss Ji will always provide us with a daily update and highlight the areas he enjoys/doesn't like.We are truly grateful to JCMSOG for making our sons entry into the world of school so seamless. I have recommended this school to many friends and will continue to do so.

After careful deliberation for the last couple of months, I have finally decided to write a review for the benefit of prospective enrollees. My daughter attended this school from age 15 months until 4 years. While the location was convenient for us, there were several reasons why we decided to move her to a different Montessori. I have cited them below:1. This place has a revolving door of teachers and students. My daughter had 3 different teachers, each of whom either quit or was let go. MANY of the teachers listed on their website are no longer at the school. Many of her friends left after a year or so at the school.2. The school has a culture of a Military establishment. You MUST bring your child in the carpool between 8AM-8.30AM. If your child is late (even by 10 minutes), then you are reprimanded by the director. When I asked the reason for this rule, I was told that child's progress is hindered if they don't come to school in the carpool. Would any person in the right frame of mind buy that logic ? It's absolutely ludicrous.3. Parents are NOT ALLOWED into the classroom. You MUST drop your child off in carpool or in the lobby and then pick him/her up from the lobbby. We had no inkling about what was happening inside the class. Felt as though it was a dictatorial regime like North Korea !4. Parents MUST volunteer in the school or it's events. The last time I checked the dictionary, volunteer means "freely offer to do something". It cannot be imposed on a person.5. My daughter told us on multiple occassions that her teacher would put a crying child in the bathroom, close the door and open it once the crying subsides. When I brought this up with the director, she said that it doesn't happen too often !6. No regular updates on the child's progress.7. I don't think JCMSOG teachers are TRULY Montessori certified.I tried to bring up the above issues with the owner. However, the owner is a business woman who is ONLY interested in the bottomline. She is in cahoots with and has delegated ALL the execution to the director. Both the director and the owner are completely responsible for the messed up culture and rules of JCMSOG. The director especially needs to attend a course on "How to Win Friends and Influence people".It's only been two months since we enrolled our daughter into the other Montessori school and she has already started reading and doing Math. We did not see ANY progress while she was at JCMSOG.In addition, the atmosphere of her new school is very positive for both children and parents alike. We get weekly updates on the child's progress and can peep into her classroom at ANY time.

My daughter attended this school in year 2015-16. I rarely ever write reviews, but I think I should now since, the reason we left the school for has never been addressed. When my 3 year old first started at the school, everything seemed fine. Ms. Sarah was a great teacher, we loved her. They were doing Yoga in their free time, and she was kind but firm, just how you expect a Montessori teacher to be. My daughter had attended a Montessori school in Houston TX before this place, and thus, so far everything was resonating with our idea of Montessori. The food at this place is great, always fresh and never pre-packaged, partly because they add a Chef Advantage fee with tuition and the other half because they make parents do groceries for the class (yes, we did too). Now, after Ms. Sarah left (you never really know why?), her assistant was made the lead teacher. I have heard some horror stories about him, how he locks kids in bathrooms, argues with the kids and tells them he doesn't like them to their face. Fortunately for the kids, I recently heard that he left too. Now, to the reason, we really left. One day at pickup, I saw the principal (she'd not seen me) yanking my little one's hand , "showing" her how to stand in a line properly. As would be expected, my 3 year old started crying as soon as she saw me. I was beyond upset. That day I started touring other schools. Within a week, we found a really nice school in Alpharetta and moved my daughter. The reason I write this review is for them to be aware that the concept of Montessori teaches kindness, not only how to queue up. Good luck to whoever still sends their kids to this school!

I only have one word to describe this place and it is "AMAZING!" I am a mom who does not worry while my child is in their care. The staff is wonderful and they are led by two caring and thoughtful women (Ms Ash & Ms. Denise). We love you guys! Thank you to all the teachers and assistants for all you do for our children daily. You guys ROCK!

My name is Sedef Dion and I have been teaching yoga for toddlers and preschool age children at Johns Creek Montessori School of GA since 2015. Johns Creek Montessori School of GA represents dignity, respect, love, community and harmony. Every single person including the owner, director, teachers, teacher’s helpers and lunch ladies are genuine, loving, caring and work with such a passion. The school is very clean. Thank you cleaning crew for keeping Johns Creek Montessori School of GA spotless! It really shines on every level. Through the years I have been in many Montessori schools and various preschools in the Atlanta area and I wholeheartedly say that by far Johns Creek Montessori School of GA is the best of the best. Babies are happy, healthy and smiling. Toddlers are learning life skills from their peers. Older children work in harmony. The teachers are passionate about what they do.Teaching yoga at Johns Creek Montessori School of GA makes me realize how lucky these children are and how honored I am to be a part of this community.Sedef Dion, E-RYT 200, RCYTYoga teacher/trainer

Enrolling our then 15-month-old at Johns Creek Montessori School of Georgia is one of the best things that's ever happened to our family! As an educator myself, I was determined to find a place that would appreciate my child for exactly who she is and provide her with a safe and nourishing environment in which she could flourish. After searching all over, Johns Creek Montessori is the one place that has met and exceeded our expectations! Our daughter is now 20 months old, and her language and cognitive growth over the past five months has been phenomenal. Even more importantly, she looks forward to school each morning, often even getting her backpack and waiting at the door until it's time to leave; I feel confident about her care while we're apart because I know that she feels respected and loved by all those she encounters. The Director and Owner go above and beyond to care for our daughter and our entire family. We love that they offer parenting workshops and strive to build a community not only between the children, but also between their families! Thanks for all you do, Johns Creek Montessori!!

I highly recommend ‘Johns Creek Montessori School of Georgia’ to all the parents who are considering sending their kids to Montessori and are looking for a warm, caring and safe environment for their child. School’s staff is extremely passionate about what they do. Ms. Denise (Director) and Ms. Ash (Owner) personally pays attention to every child’s needs and to fulfill every parent’s expectations. My son is in Ms. Nadia's class and he truly adores her. She has done a wonderful job of building a strong foundation for our son. They truly care about every child enrolled in their school. JCMSG is an excellent school.

We enrolled our daughter at Johns Creek Montessori School of Georgia after trying out 4 other schools. Needless to say, we have VERY high expectations when it comes to the care and education of our daughter. Johns Creek has exceeded every expectation we have. We can't say enough good things about this place. Ms. Ash and Ms. Denise are amazing administrators. They have the school running so well and they allow the teachers to do what they do best: teach and nurture. Our daughter is a member of the Peace community there and Ms. Valerie and the rest of the staff are so good with the children. We are huge advocates of the Montessori method of child development and Johns Creek does it right. My advise to anyone reading this review and looking for a school for their child- Call to set up a tour and speak with Ms. Denise. Go talk to the teachers and observe the children in the classroom setting. You will not be disappointed. This place is great!

JCMSOG is a wonderful school. Both of my boys attend and I could not be more pleased with the authentic Montessori teaching they are receiving. The teachers are kind, and truly care for each and every student. The Director and Owner are constantly adding new materials for the children to work with and both make you feel extremely comfortable with dropping your children off everyday. As a working mother I am greatly concerned where my children spend their time while I am at work, and I rest easy knowing that my boys are in good hands with adults that love them. Both boys are doing things that I would not even think to teach them at their age, but the classroom atmosphere encourages this growth at their own pace. I would definitely recommend this school for your child!

We have been looking to enroll our 2 and half year old at a school for a while now in the Johns Creek area before we came across JCMSOG, but for some reason were not convinced with any of them before. But once we spoke to Ms. Denise (the School Director) and Ms. Ash (owner) by phone, we made up our mind to enroll her at the school. A school visit later at the insistence of Ms.Ash only resolved us more to keep our daughter there. The teachers and the staff are fantastic, they are great at what they do. She is learning a lot and has picked up a lot within few weeks, not to mention her discipline improving a lot. The staff takes time in playing and interacting with the kids and they are ready to answer any concern you may have. The facilities and the playground are very good, so good that my daughter does not want to leave at the end of each day. Everyone is so personable, warm and inviting and I cannot imagine a better place for my daughter.Thank you JSMSOG!!

We have our two daughters enrolled at the school. Our youngest is the youngest child in the school. She started when she was 16 months old. I was concerned as she only stayed at home previously. I was very surprised with how wonderfully she adapted to the school. I know it was due to the loving and caring of all teachers and staff. Everybody is close, warm and understanding. They welcomed her so warmly that she did not have second thoughts on her second day. She is still attending and loving it. She is still the youngest to my knowledge and I can see that she is always supported by either a teacher, staff or even older kids when she is not completely ready to do something on her own. I can see her learning new skills everyday. The other day I just saw her pushing her chair underneath the table and putting her work away when she was ready to go home. I though it was pretty amazing for a 17 months old! Our oldest was already attending a Montessori school in a different state and she fit right in! She has been learning new skills as well to the point that now she wants to set the table for dinner every evening in our house. She is only 3.5 years old. I really like the Montessori method and it is beautifully followed at the school. Another plus is that the director and the owner know all kids and parents by name. I am so grateful as they have always been very supportive to the needs of our family. I am extremely happy to be a part of this school and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great school to enroll their kids.
