They have an amazing selection and friendly staff!
I’m always on the lookout for independent bookstores and this one does not disappoint! I spent what ended up being a little over 2 hours browsing the store yesterday and still feel like I missed a section or two!
Every time I visit is a new experience because they are frequently changing the displays and featured books to keep things fresh. I most love their horror section. It’s larger than a lot of other bookstores I visit (some don’t even have one!).
They also have these little notes on some books with a review or fun fact about them. It adds a little extra fun to see them while browsing.
The only complaint I would have is that their used book prices are slightly higher than a couple other used bookstores I’ve been to. However, it’s not a crazy big difference and their used books are always in great condition. I’d also rather spend that money with an independent bookstore than a soulless corporation like Barnes and Noble or Amazon.
They also offer trading in your books to get credit towards the used books. I’ve never taken advantage of this (because I’m a book dragon and just hoard them), but it’s great that it’s an option!
The staff was friendly, engaging, and patient as I meandered my way around their store up until 1 minute before they closed (even still, they didn’t even try to rush me, I just happened to see the time on my phone and realized they were probably waiting on me ??♀️).
I’ll definitely be visiting again when I find the space to add on to my hoard ?

if you're coming here to buy, you'll have a wonderful experience. the store is clean and well laid out. there are multiple options for all types of readers. they have collectibles, comics, games, etc. the owners/workers are always kind and greet you at the door. if you're coming here to sell, don't unless you already spend money here frequently on used items. the selling process is easy, however the store credit policy was not explained any of the times I came to sell and is not one I've ever encounter after selling to a book store. I recommend selling them elsewhere. I like this store, but this policy definitely left a bad taste for me especially since no one explained it until I went to use it

Great little bookstore great selection of books but best makes it worth a visit are the little info cards by the books. Highly recommend stopping by this place, browse and buy.

Love love love this little bookstore. All the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful and they always have cute things in addition to the books they sell. I will choose this local store over a big box store any day! They also take used books for store credit -- that's my favorite part!

Beautiful little shop, lots of book selections, and places to sit. The lady that was there was very sweet and gave me a lunch recommendation as well! Walked out with two books I’d been wanting to read! There are new books and used books, and you can apparently trade in used books for credit to use towards others (will need to try to confirm!) but that’s such an awesome way to make sure books get loved by more than one owner! Will ABSOLUTELY be coming back! ?

John's Creeks Books is cute, friendly and cozy, everything you look for in a bookstore atmosphere wise. However, all of their used books and new books are mixed together and only a few actually had prices on them so its a bit confusing when selecting something to buy.

This place is such a hidden gem! I loved the atmosphere of the bookstore and the selection was great. They had soo many books with southasian representation as well. There is a mix of used and new books with fair prices!

So much more than your typical bookstore! Vintage toys, board games, comics, graphic novels, manga, cute gifts, and even old media formats like VHS! There is even a big table set up where you can play the board games available in the store.The book selections are excellent, and there is even freshly brewed free coffee & tea that you can enjoy while you browse. So good!
