I gave Hendrix 2 stars instead of one because the owner is a good lady. As for the people under her, there are several who do not follow her wishes, particularly on the mechanical side, which, with such usurpation of her authority on a constant bases, by, we all know who, someone who is inherently guaranteed rank, but really doesn't have the years or fortitude to handle real adult responsibilities, nor make sound decisions based on experience. Therefore, the company is doomed to failure, I regret to say.. From people at Napa to other former Hendrix employees, people all over have unequivocally vented frustration with the particular person, who is apparently reputed as being incompetent, to put it professionally. You can't make this stuff up.There's a lot more I could say, but I will not; I'd rather keep it vague and ethical. I really do have great examples of how badly this young man, and also some in the echelons over him, are messing up big time back there in areas of communication, cooperation, motivation, and chiefly, retention of potential quality employees like myself. I've seen it first-hand for a very short period of time, and I won't say how, though I just said it without saying it.But my hopes are that Mrs. Sheila, a very good lady who wants quality employees, and owner of more than half of Hendrix, will get the opportunity to solve this great underlying cancer that does, in fact, exist, as she did even express and allude to her distress as to the state of things with me, in person. When?Well, in our conversation, she gave specific examples of issues she was having with certain employees, and also with retention related issues, to obviously ensure that I would not be like any one of them, which plea I would have gladly followed, IF the same ones she was having issues with, didn't slip me out when she was away for a few days, and obstruct me from accessing her to make sure she knew what was going on... and I never did get to tell her. Now, I am not by any means interested in working there again. I'm very content where I work now, and I am very, very glad that things worked out the way they did, now that months later I have a complete understanding as to how the company's future should look, and the politics thereof. But my purpose in writing this review is out of genuine concern, in hopes that they will see what is happening. I'd like to see Hendrix continue another generation. So I like Sheila and Hendrix in that it has quite an appreciable history and has been heavily relied upon in the communities surrounding Wayne County for generations. But after Sheila is gone, everything will come apart at the seams. Mr. Hendrix Senior would have been very proud of her.

Great company, highly qualified operators and foreman. They completely handled my needs for site access and road improvements following months of heavy logging. Despite very wet weather, they left me with stable, straight, fully accessible roads throughout my property. They get it done!
