Great place to shop when on Jekyll. Lots of souvenirs to choose from. Visited on 7/12/24 on a busy Friday. Found a T-shirt I liked and everyone in the store seemed to be enjoying themselves. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Cute souvenir shop! They also do custom stickers and embroidery for a very good price!! They helped me make some awesome stuff for my wedding.

Love stopping in Maxwell’s every time we are on the island. They have a good variety of toys and souvenirs but also have some essentials you might have left at home. Love that they offer red “turtle” flashlights so that you can still see on the beach at night.

We visited on the weekend of February 2nd.The Maxwell general store has been good every time I went over there. They have a good selection of gifts, supplies, and more.I see that they stopped selling live hermit crabs. That's great, because that was bad treatment.Overall, a nice clean shop.

This is animal cruelty! No sunlight or lamps, no sand, no good food... the crabs are outgrowing their shells, and they don't offer them empty ones to change out of. I added a photo where you can see the crab whose shell is so small that he can't retreat in it. He sleeps outside of his shell. And I know people are going to read this and say "theyre just hermit crabs," but even then, they chose to sell them, so they should be taking care of them.
