What surprise! They had hand dipped Ice cream! Prices were very good. We had Pecan Praline & Strawberry Cheesecake. I think they serve Yoders. Same as Moo Cows on St Simons. Ruby says it was really good too.

The place was amazing. The woman who was at the counter was SUPER!!! Helpful she didn't try to sell us unless stuff since we're not from around here she told us that we had all we needed and just needed a little bigger sinkers

Great place, great prices, but the hours open on the website don't match the hours on the door. Might want to update the hours on here.

I enjoyed the visit to this little fishing center. There were 2 ladies working one older and the other late 20s. I’m telling you they were so smart and intelligent about the fishing tackle and baits. The friendly attitude made a huge impact on this TN Gal! Thanks ladies and I enjoyed the many visits I made in there while on vacay! The gifts I brought back from your center was very loved by all! Thanks y’all!

Charged 30+ dollars for some fiddler crabs and dead shrimp. Wouldn’t recommend buying bait from here. Way overpriced

No mud minnows today. No change for $100 bill. Which is convenient being they charge extra to use a card. Over charged because the girl left the previous customers charges on the register then rang us up.We spend our money in this place most every weekend. I don’t understand the lack of bait. Will be catching my own from here on out. After 6 years of using this store they just don’t seem to give a hoot about their customers.

Great helpful staff and a surprising variety of fishing gear, souvenirs, snacks, and bait. They almost always have some live bait reasonably priced.

Great little fishing store. Has all the gear & supplies you'll need to go fishing, crabbing, etc... Very good prices, too. Friendly & helpful staff with great store hours.

Tl;dr: Renter beware as we ended up paying way more than anticipated due to cheap line and poorly-maintained equipment.I rented 5 fishing poles, and bought 2 crab baskets plus bait, pliers, and a knife - everything my extended family needed for a fun day of fishing and crabbing off the pier. It was about $150, which didn’t seem bad, but when checking out, Kayla at the front desk said that if we lost a rig that we could come back and buy more. I should have realized at that point that the charges were just starting.By the time we had fished for about 3 hours, we had purchased 8 additional rigs (around $40), because the line they have on the rods is so wimpy that it snaps with the littlest bit of tension. We only caught a couple small things - everything else that took the bait ended up getting away when the line broke.Even with the additional costs and the subpar line, we were having fun and I was set to post a glowing review. Then a pole broke. We caught what seemed like something fun but realized quickly it was just a stick. Not even a heavy one. My fiancé, a very experienced fisherman, had the pole and was reeling it in when the top just snapped off. It was only the second time we tried to reel something in with that rod. It wasn’t being abused or under any extraordinary use. I reported the break to the store and they said they’d have to charge me $60 for it.After spending so much for a few hours worth of entertainment, I’m really angry about being charged this replacement fee. The pole is an UglyStik, which I know is usually decent, so they must not maintain the equipment very well. And why should they, when they can get renters like me to pay for it?They did offer to rent us another pole, of course. I’m sure they relished the opportunity to “justify” another replacement.I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere next time we’re in the area.
