If you have an ION radio, they will refuse to release it to another agency and claim to have a lien on the radio. This will nullify the ability to program your fully paid radio. The owner, Ken Bryant, threatened to sue me and has a history of intimidating behavior going back decades. Ken Bryant is a former convicted felon as well. I'd avoid this dealer at all costs.

Simply the best Motorola dealer around. 24 hour on call service, extremely knowledgeable in ALL aspects of the industry, and always willing to help better your system or service related issues. Ken is truly a gem in an industry where many dealers no longer want to deal with end users. Ken is willing to work with end users and provides great support. 10/10 service.

On or about June 30, 2021, Ken Bryant, of North Georgia Communications sold me a radio repeater and advised one of the functions, covered under my license, is that I would be able to bring the repeater to events anywhere where operating, lower the output power to 10 Watts and leverage it for communications on-site. After doing so, unbeknownst to myself, Ken Bryant than advised during conversation, where I wanted to then obtain a second repeater, using the first repeater in a mobile scenario was not possible under my license. Ken Bryant has, under his 30 years of Public Safety Communications experience, assisted me throughout the initial licensing request, and second modification, knowingly, and written under the submitted license description: "90.35 WE ARE ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF EVENT PLANNING. RADIOS WILL BE USED TO COORDINATE ACTIVITIES AT EVENTS AND FOR COMMUNICATIONS AT THE SHOP. Itinerant frequencies will be used at carious locations throughout the state." After learning of Ken's misinformation, he then advised me that I had to submit another modification to my license to do this, and sent me an invoice for $300.00 dollars to do so. Along with the quote, the second repeater and required cables were also added as requested, only to learn later that the repeater was "out of stock”. Ken advised it would be 1-2 months. It is unreasonable to expect a customer to wait this timeframe if the same product is available. elsewhere. After deciding to proceed with the licensing only and source the repeater from another vendor who had it in stock due to the long wait time, I then paid Ken via PayPal (friend and family), expecting to receive the services that Ken advised he would provide, only to find out later that day from Ken “I don’t think we will be able to help you.” Then after waiting and not receiving the refund in the mail I sent a simple email attempting to follow up on the refund status and received: “Do you even realize you pressured us for an invoice that you took a week to pay and then we sent you an refund as soon as practicable (faster than any company would do) and again you are bothering us about the status of that? Businesses send invoices. Several of Ken’s competitors have returned an invoice in less than 2 hours of a discussion, take the time to provide a service, answer questions and deliver on their quotes, whereas Ken responds 3-5 days later (maybe) and displays strong annoyance and distaste while speaking on the phone/email after attempting to determine the status and when he is going to act. When spending thousands of dollars, having to feel like you are begging for answers leaves nothing but the feeling disgust. It is clear that Ken’s childish and unprofessional responses are unjustified and derailing. My time as a customer was impacted to begin the license process and, in turn, has affected my deliverability. I have been able to source the same service for $180.00 to complete the required license modifications, and feel, based on Ken’s actions, he should be responsible for the additional, unannounced and misinformed license charges. Ken’s aggressive tone, negative demeanor lack of patience for simple questions when speaking on the phone to smaller customers like myself must be addressed as after reading several negative reviews only echo this very same complaint. The act of communication, having the will to understand detailed information, applying yourself and your knowledge into a customers request is something that I have struggled with Ken on several occasions. I have spent countless hours organizing finite details into emails to provide Ken with all the required details, only for him to repeat the exact inverse, or not respond at all, resulting in a follow-up email. This leaves me feeling as if he does not care about my needs and portrays a “shut up and give me your money attitude”. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON.

Ken and Marla are great to work with! I ordered an XPR7550E from them and had it delivered in three days. This was a very fair price on a new radio.

I ordered a remote control head mic from Ken and it arrived quickly and well packaged. I ran into some firmware issues with my older XPR 5550e and Ken went out of his way to help me get up and running. There is no question that I will be working with Ken for all of my Motorola needs in the future.

Highly recommend. I’ve been using North Georgia Communications for both personal and professional Motorola products for the last several years. Ken and his team have never steered me or any of my colleagues in the wrong direction. I have always gotten the best customer service. I intend on continuing to refer North Georgia Commutations to anyone in need of a Motorola product as well as using them for my own needs for years to come!

You will receive exactly what you ask for and he goes the extra mile to ensure any issues are resolved most times before you even are aware of them. Simply the best. Thanks

Always had a great experience with Ken, very supportive always willing to answer questions. I've been doing business with him for years. Very reasonable prices on equipment. I don't think there is anything he doesn't have relating to communications equipment. He is extremely prompt on getting the equipment shipped and I've never had an inaccurate order come in. I also feel he looks out for me as a customer, if there is something I think will meet my needs he either helps reassure me in the product or uses his extensive experience to steer me towards something that will. I will recommend Ken and North Georgia Communications to anyone and everyone!
