Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake and mountains. The public sitting area near the lobby is decorated beautifully for Christmas. The room is spacious and very clean.Food & drinks: Restaurant nearby

Rooms are not up to date. Electrical outlets are behind the bed. Lighting is poor in room and bathroom. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Rooms are clean. Pretty quiet. Lakeside view is phenomenal!

We got a handicapped room... the toilet was in a cubby and very uncomfortable, the tub was too tall for someone handicapped. There was no comfy chair or couch and the bed was so uncomfortable. We had originally booked for 2 days for a quick getaway...but we left the next evening and went home Saturday night instead of Sunday morning.Oh and the front doors are manual, horrible for the handicapped. So disappointing, I needed to getaway after having been cooped up from surgery.

It was the first time here and enjoyed the experience. The location was central to a lot of attractions in the vicinity and plan to return within the next couple of years. I had a third floor lakeside view from my room and it was spectacular.

Great friendly service from the staff!! The place needs some maintenance and upgrades though. Walls and doors are beat up, shower curtain was loose, toilets are ridiculously low and too small for full size adults! The view was amazing, except for the trees blocking our view from the room..:-( food was decent.

Absolutely not worth the price. The beds are terrible. There was a stench coming from the room that smelled like cigarette smoke. The walls and carpet are either filthy or severely stained, you can’t tell. Will never stay again.

The rooms are old and could use a little love, but the lake view is awesome! And the staff is so kind!

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the rooms were not worth the price we paid. The ladies at the front counter were great but the rooms were the absolute

Dated and not worth the rates we were charged ($200+ night). Rooms were small and in need of a renovation.Location is good if you're headed to the fairgrounds...it's a simple, moderate walk.Check in was easy and the folks at the desk were really nice.Breakfast was ok. More 'continental' than anything else.Lake view room didn't have much of a lake view (first floor). 2nd and 3rd floor probably have a better view.

First, let's say the view from the main floor in the lobby looking out to the lake is beautiful! The front desk staff were pleasant. However, upon entering the overwhelming musky smell is not the best. It is extremely unpleasant, and I figured it's just the lobby, I'm sad to say that it's not just the lobby, our room was the same if not worse. I was hoping turning the AC on would help, but it didn't.We had no tv remote in our room, but there was a tv! LolThere were a few places on the ceiling that had patches where there were repairs. Vents were dirty as well. The balcony/patio we had was filled with cigarette butts everywhere and we even encountered a few ants in the room. The room was VERY DATED!My husband looked online and for as much revenue as they bring in, you'd think they'd invest into their rooms and lodge!Paying $200+ for one night was outrageous! We won't be back, and I'm hoping they invest into the lodge.Rooms: Extremely outdated! Horrible musky smell! Cigarette butts all over the place on the balcony/patio. Encountered ants

The morning staff are great! But this place is old the beds are terrible, pillows junk, towels have holes in them, for the price we were very disappointed, good location, just needs a lot of updating, no pool, or access to lake , it's to bad I really wanted to like this place, but my back hates me after sleeping on these old broken down beds for 3 days !!Coffee machine makes really good coffee, breakfast is a joke

Stayed there to attend a concert. Our first time to stay there. The view from our 2nd floor room was beautiful. See the picture. The staff could not have been nicer. Wonderful people who seemed to take real pride in their job. The hotel was within walking distance of the concert venue. This was great as there were lots of people all trying to leave at the same time when it was over. Also, within walking distance was Hawg Wild BBQ. Again, the folks that ran it were truly very nice. They were short staffed but the employees were very friendly and did not act like they were under any pressure. The food was great. The downside is the hotel is very dated. If you have trouble with balance, be aware. You'll have to step into a tub. It's very cumbersome. It was clean, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The door in the room had a lot of mold. See the picture. The place needs a good deep cleaning or better yet, an update. A little pricey at $260/night. It does include breakfast. It's a beautiful part of the state.

This lodge has potential to be very good, but needs some good cleaning and reasonable upgrades. Conveniently located and on a lake with a restaurant at the entrance to lodge's driveway. Suggest booking a lakeside room for quiet night's sleep. Side facing parking lot and down hill is main road that can be noisy with dragging cars and trucks.Room could use a thorough cleaning. Cobwebs in corners, missing ceiling panel in closet, bathroom floor grout dirty, bath ceiling vent dirty, coffee maker dusty and in need of cleaning. Missing picture over bed, as only holes remaining. Toilet alcove is dark, needs a bit of lighting. Hall carpets have holes and scrapes on walls.Common areas are nicely decorated in rustic motif. Continental weekday breakfast was adequate.Employees are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are reasonably priced.****Plz leave ??if review was helpful, thx!Rooms: See review.
