This shoppe is amazing! You can freely try on the hats. There is a fellow on site who can customize your hat purchase, and an lovely lady who can burn beautiful flowers on the brim. These hats are unique and beautiful! This is MUST stop in this town!

I have been coming here for the past 6 years they always have the perfect hat for whatever time we come up. Whether it is summertime or fall or winter or springtime. They are always friendly and welcome all to get their hattitude on or to try on different hats.

MY FAMILY WAS AT THE HAT COMPANY IN HELEN GA ON JULY 7, 2024. I DIDN'T GET THE GUYS NAME RUNNING IT THAT DAY, BUT HE WAS SUPER FANTASTIC. VERY HELPFUL IN US CHOOSING HATS AND WAS VERY FRIENDLY. IT WAS SUCH A PLESANT VISIT THERE AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK TO SHOP FOR MORE HATS.

My family is in Helen for a baseball tournament. A few of us walked through town, window shopping, and went into the Helen Hat Company. All kinds of very nice hats, different styles, different materials, but no, not today... As we were leaving, THE hat hanging on the wall by the door screamed at me, "I'm for you! Try ME on!" I love it! The style, the felt material, the feathers and beaded hatband. Big John was very personable, told us all about the quality and details of the hat made by American Hat Makers and I wore it out of the store :) Thanks, Big John!

Came specifically to this store to buy some nice hats for photo shoots for my family, friends and I. We have children with us and were immediately looked at with disdain because I assume they thought we were either not buying anything or there to destroy the store. We started looking around and trying on hats, as one does when going into a hat store. My children were looking at hat brushes not knowing they were for hats. Instead of letting us know this, they were yelled at “those aren’t for hair!”.. they’re literally 6 & 9 years old children. They weren’t doing anything damaging. I can tell the people here aren’t a fan of people coming in with their kids. That comment and aggression made us wrap it up leave right away; I refused to spend one dollar. Just an FYI, Helen promotes families to visit, so if you don’t want kids in your store, find a new location or chill the f out.

I have been looking for the perfect hat for a very long time luckily I found the Helen hat company and big John was there to help me. He assisted me not only pick out the perfect hat for my use, he make sure it fit. Big John picked out the perfect feather 5 stars all the way Thank you again big John.

My daughter and I went in there today to but A hat. I ask the salesperson a question and he didn't get off his phone!so we went out the door! I would not go back in there again!

I'm outnumbered by boys in my family and they all wear hats so this was a perfect spot for them to grab a new one while in town.
