We needed a place to stay near Effingham Hospital outside of Savannah. I checked for accommodations with good reviews. Claudette answers the phone, runs the business and cooks as good a breakfast as you’ll ever eat! We’re so thankful we found this quiet spot.

Southern charm with a lovely host, who makes an amazing homemade breakfast. Claudette once had a restaurant here, now it's a b and b for guests to enjoy.

Amazing home-like feel. Very lovely woman who run the pretty historical house. She is a real treat to be around :) you will enjoy your stay. Take part in the homemade breakfast. She makes all the jams and jellies herself!

Claudette helped us out so much, heading to savannah from ohio, needed a place to stay for the night. Looked all around everything was about 200 in and around savannah. I found this little gem on the map and called. She booked us in at 10:00 at night for 140. Excellent clean comfy room, nice shower and accommodations. She even gave us shampoo and body wash. Cooked us a homemade breakfast which was out of this world. Her and her sweet dog sugar are two gifts to this world. If you’re ever in the area and need a nice place to stay for cheap this is the spot. Just be good to her!!!! Thanks Claudette - Michael and Lilith<3

The best experience i could have asked for, not only is the place beautiful and feels like you are traveling back in time, the host is the absolute sweetest person. She made sure our stay was comfortable. The breakfast is the best breakfast this side of the Mississippi. Everything was cooked and prepared with so much love.

Claudette herself is a national treasure and her historic home is like stepping back in time. If you enjoy great food, old houses, and sweet company, stay here when you visit Savannah! The breakfast was amazing! We love that the home has been lovingly cared for in the style it was intended. While we had modern central heat and electricity, the home still retained it's old world charm. Love it and will be back soon!

I found this gem on a solo bike tour. What a gem. This magnificent piece of history and Victorian elegance is, an oasis of southern charm and hospitality thanks to its namesake, Claudette. What a wealth of knowledge of the local history, of which she and the house are a part! And the food! Claudette is a master chef who asked for *whatever* I wanted for breakfast and when! All direct from the local farmer, I could taste the freshness and richness in the eggs, the brocoli, and even the potatoes! Crazy, but true.I loved my time here.
