I am updating this review because my constant and well loved companion dog appears to be much worse. Please read my review from Saturday. I am waiting for our new vet's office to open in six hours. Dogs, cats, and other beloved pets deserve the best we can do for them. I cannot understand why a person in another part of the clinic could prevent my husband and me from talking to the front office and obtaining the information we needed. My first attempt for help was at just after 8:30. I could have brought him in even if I had to wait for an extended period of time. We pay the entire bill each time, we are grateful for the help from the vets and the vet techs, and ONE person who appears to want to have power that she shouldn't have prevented us from obtaining help. If this doesn't change, I would suggest you consider your options although the vets, techs, and front office are wonderful. However, one person can damage a business.

Lack of customer focus and not really seeing any improvement has been declining for a while. My wife and I have been using thus vet for 13 years..time to look elsewhere, I advise you do your homework..they use to be the best ..don't feel like they really give a care but for the dollars

Very seldom have I ever written a poor review for anything, but due to our most recent bad experience with Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic and Kennel, I felt it necessary to do so. As a businessman, reviews often help me in my corporate travels, purchases, as well as in my personal life and family decisions. When the owners of our long time Kennel retired and moved to Savannah, Georgia, we began to search for a new Kennel for our boxer, Capt. Jack. Boy, we were going to miss our kennel and friends there. We asked neighbors and friends. We read reviews, etc., and we decided to bring Capt. Jack to Memorial Drive. We were pleased with the initial welcome and visits. As a businessman who travels, I was glad to know that the clinic also had a kennel side to it. Initially, we were pleased. We left Jack several times, and each time we were told how much of a treat Capt. Jack was with everyone including the other dogs. We were told he was a great dog and that they had no troubles with him. We were always told, "See you guys next time!" This leads us to this past New Years Eve weekend. With confidence, we booked and left Capt Jack for the weekend as we traveled to St. Augustine, Fl for a long weekend celebration. We had an amazing time. When we got home and picked up Jack, we were told by the staff that Jack did not do well on this visit, that he snapped at the staff, that they were heavily booked for the weekend with many dogs, etc. The staff stated that they had experienced some bad storms during the weekend, that a water pipe in the ceiling burst, and that it caused the ceiling to collapse in the veterinarian office. They stated it was a pretty traumatic event for dogs and staff alike. We were also told that Jack was a completely different dog once we were there. Needless to say, we were shocked at the news. Capt. Jack (if you know anything about classic boxers) is a great family dog, playful, loving, and his former kennel described him as "Mr. Social Butterfly" among the other dogs and staff. He had never responded bad to anyone or any other dog. I do know that dogs will communicate when treated well or poorly. When we got home, we noticed Jack was very sick. Not just sick, but throwing up solid dog feces for two and a half hours. It was his own feces from his kennel stay. Boxers are very smart and clean dogs and he was basically left in his kennel where he ate his own feces in order to clean his area up. We're sure his experience those days were pretty traumatic. It was a perfect storm for Jack and I'm sure other dogs, pets, etc. With an upcoming business trip, we didn't want to think poorly about Memorial Drive, and giving them the benefit of the doubt, we decided to drop by the clinic with Jack to book another stay. Upon arriving with Jack, one of the girls who works at the kennel came out from around the back, sat down on the floor in front of Jack, and preceded to love and pet Jack. Of course Jack was doing what boxers do. He was giving her kisses and being his typical boxer wiggle butt. After this fine welcome, we were told that Jack has been marked as a 'caution dog' and that they wouldn't allow him to stay at the kennel any more. Once again, we were shocked again, this friendly loving dog, greeted by one of their staff members sitting on the floor with him loving and kissing her was marked as a 'caution dog' and not allowed to stay there any longer. Our initial thoughts were ... why would a staff member go and sit, on the floor, in front of a 'caution dog'. This was a huge contradiction, but spoke volumes of the inconsistency of care from the clinic and kennel. With all this being said, in good conscience, we can not, and will not recommend Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic and kennel. Interesting enough, read some of the other reviews. In the mix of good reviews are similar bad stories that we overlooked attempting to think the best of these folks. It's nothing personal. We liked many of the staff, but the bottom line, it's about our pet a

We tried Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic for July 4th holiday weekend which was a horrible mistake! We normally use another place for boarding which was booked. The lady mentioned the clinic was closed on Monday, July 4th. I didn't think much of it until I picked up my fur babies on Tuesday, July 5th. They were sick, pottying non-stop they had not being out of the crates in days, throwing up, and had bites on their back. We paid nearly $350 for this horrible service! If you don't care about your animals take them here! We will never use again!

Your visit is dependent upon the Dr in the office. Sadly, a couple seem as if they are just doing a job and you wonder if they even like animals. Gone are the days of the old school vet. They are no better nor worse than others. We use them for the convenience of the location.

There is a stain on the service of this place as the two front desk workers can’t even find the time to do exactly what they’ve been hired to do....work. Please see Google, Yelp, or Facebook for detailed reviews of my awful experience with possibly the most unprofessional and worst admin staff in history.

Not that this clinic (Memorial Drive Vet Clinic) was ever anything spectacular. The only reason they have business is convenience and considering their lack of real medical knowledge, they make up for it with low prices. The staff is a staff and for the most part the kindness makes up for the incompetence of it all. However, at this time there is a stain on the service of this place. BEWARE: of the greasy troll who speaks and breaths with exasperation, complete with wheezing sighs because the simplest of tasks seem to just be an inconvenience to her at...her place of employment. Therefore, if you want good service bypass the troll at the front desk (or possibly the whole establishment). I had two unfortunate incidents with said troll, who's name I asked for today after the 2nd unfortunate encounter, but considering the fact that customer service escapes her....the response was "why?" instead of giving me her name. Such a troll. The first occurrence on June 9, 2021. My dog is filed under my mother's account with the clinic. As of June 9, there were two dogs on the account. One who's name is LENOX. The other's whose name is HENRY. I specifically asked the troll to please print LENOX's medical history. At that time, I seemed to have interrupted her online shopping as she was busy surfing amazon adding things to her cart. Of course before responding, the troll met me with an eye roll, sighs as heavy as she, and no eye contact. She told me at that time, "Everything will be on the invoice." Instead of just printing the records, which is all I asked her to do. I asked her again a second time, to print records for LENOX ....briefly explaining I need the records for travel (which I shouldn't have had to do if her service was actual service) and this time, she printed the records (after taking her sweet troll time) with all the nasty attitude she possesses and never taking her eyes off her amazon screen. I leave keeping my mouth shut, full of irritation, but still find it in my heart to say "thank you". I was rushing out of there because the encounter made me want to flee, but once I got home I realized the troll printed the wrong paper work....for HENRY instead. A simple mistake, even though HENRY and LENOX sound nothing alike? Possibly. Who even knows with this troll, but even a mistake as simple as that, could've been avoided with good customer service, listening skills, focus, a good work ethic, not shopping at work, and /or real respect for your place of employment and it's customers. All qualities, the troll has made clear she does not posses or have any real motivation to ever display. How she got hired is a mystery to me. part 2 attached.

This is a terrible place of business. Prescribed my animal acepromazine, and while having a consultation during the process of getting the medication they told me there are no side effects I should be aware of. My animal later that night collapsed with shortness of breath and lose of blather control. I later find out that the prescription prescribed is said to be DEADLY to the specific breed of my animal. The careless act on their behalf nearly costed my animal it's life. This a extremely unprofessional business who simply does not take the time to do their job.

Was given a baby bull dog, it became sick, brought him in and the Vet was up front about his condition but between the both of us we still wanted to try and she did a great job. Lost the puppy, but loved the fact that the Vet didn't just say put him to sleep.

We were traveling through town and our 15 year old Labrador's cancer had come back with a vengeance. it was time to let her go and Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic was the closest vet around. We went on a Friday afternoon. Even though we had never done business with them before, they did not require us to have an appointment. They handled everything with grace and compassion and gave my family and I as much time as we needed with our pet. I appreciate the the staff and am thankful for their compassion during this extremely difficult moment for our family.

Great Vet Clinic! My family and I take our 3 dogs here and we are satisfied every single time. The staff is always very friendly and the veterinarian are always great and knowledgeable. The prices here are also great, so it makes going a little further for the vet well worth it!

First I have to say they deserve a minus star but it wouldn't let me post without at least 1 star, I have always liked the groomer and the male Doctors at Memorial Vet, I had taken my dog there and was Quoted by the female Vet $524.00 to $612.00 Upon looking at the estimate I elected not to have it sent off so this reduced the cost by $150.00 so I leave thinking I will owe approx $375.00 so we decided to get the mastectomy surgery yesterday and I received a call stating that she had repaired a massive hernia in addition and spent 2 hours repairing it as well so she was giving me a deal at an additional $175.00 and stated she still came within the quoted price ! my husband called her to tell her we run the dog daily never any sign or symptoms of an inguinal hernia. After waiting to discuss this with the Dr who said she would come to talk to me but never did, after waiting 30 Min I paid the bill and they took us back to where our dog was being held, She stood up and was laying in so much water that she kept shaking it all over us I asked both techs why she was wet both shrugged their shoulders and said they didn't know as we are walking to the door I notice water puddles all over the floor, I went back in and told them we needed a towel as we drove home I called the office and asked if they hosed the room down because my dog was soaked and laying in a puddle of water but the majority of the concrete around my dog was dry other than puddles throughout the room the lady said she could have urinated to which I told her I checked and it was water, now I'm thinking she had to have been laying in the water a good while and that it was unable to dry underneath her because she was laying on it I explained that I put a clean white towel on the floor and assured her it was water to which she said well they have to get their work done before 6 I told her that there work was more important and getting out on time then letting my dog lay in water she had to have been in long enough for the majority of the water to have evaporated around her and the post op instructions said not to get wet for 10 days. they have the last of my money and trust all because of careless people who take no pride in what they do unfortunately the few good vets that work at Memorial Vet loose as well I will do my best to warn others of the careless actions and the lack of care for the health and well being of the pets that are entrusted to their care BEWARE
