The customer service is nonexistent in this company. You have to call over ten times for someone to answer.I came to change my due date Oct. 19 to change my due date, and this was not processed until the next week on October 27th. I was told I couldn’t turn the paper in until I came back to pay my bill. Automated service helps more than the humans behind the desk. Most seriously calling Better Call Harry. I know I’m not the only one with issues with this place. Now the city has back dated the payment not including what was paid last month making the bill over $600. Just printed all my statements, and have the payment you missed in your system. I wonder how many other customers are being double charged as well. At least I gave all my payment receipts. This is crazy that it this hard to pay your power. Maybe one day we glean use GA Power in the city of Griffin.

Crooked service provider caught double charging and prematurely disconnecting services to screw people out of money. Customer service is a joke and they play stupid when shown proof of what they do !

This is by far the absolute worst company I have EVER dealt with in my lifetime. It's a monopoly, so it's not like you have a choice on whether to use them or not. 8 years ago, I was charged a $250 deposit to have service. You get the bill, and you have 2 weeks to pay, or they shut you off, and charge you a $90 connection fee. If you pay on time via the website thats a $2.00 charge. If you call it in, another $2.00 charge. Went without electricity for 9 days after a tornado, and my bill was $30 higher than the previous month. Upon cutting off my service after 8 years, which would have been billed for 17 days (not a 30-day month)-my bill was precisely $250, taking my deposit. Mind you, the previous bills were all under $160. This company really needs to be reviewed by the state because all I have ever had is problems with them, and a lot of citizens in Griffin would all agree. Avoid moving to the area because this is your only option, and these folks are crooks.

This town sounds like it is straight out of Dukes of Hazzard with the way they treated Dan Gryder. Who was running the place, Boss Hogg? Not to mention sticking Roscoe P. Coltrane and Barney Fife on him to give him tickets every hour. If you're looking to move here or open up a business, I'd be wary of small town politicos thinking they are the next Churchill!

City of Griffin has so much potential to be a great town and hub for variety of cultural arts. The problem lies within a establishment that is designed to only serve itself.Don’t be fooled into thinking this new “transparency & civility” kick the city out of no where got on to is authentic. The only thing these people know is self preservation. Most of the rodents are jumping ship.Don’t bother trying to sit it on “public” budget meetings the commission puts on the “public” calendar on the City of Griffin website. They will waste about about an hour of your time with non- sense won’t share screen on zoom. Then lock the doors and turn zoom off for the (DDA) 38. Million (Tax payer) big boy/girl decisions!Caveat,Waste management, electric, sewage..all recycle and regular trash gets thrown into the same hole and covered with dirt. Regardless what color trash can you put it in. One can only imagine what goes on with the other utilities behind closed doors. The Sheriffs department (gestapos) is just as corrupt as the people they profiting off of. Commissary is drug dealer 101, the sheriffs office can afford a 50k venue for his sons wedding but can’t genuinely give back to the people on the other side of the train tracks..We are in the times in the Bible where the Poor shall inherit the earth. Griffin rise up, Atlanta rise up, USA rise up and peacefully liberate and make a positive change in our communities.#unity

THEY HAVE NONCHALANT ATTITUDES WHEN TEYING TO EXPLAIN! AND THE PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS !!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO BUT THIS PLACE OUT AND MAKE IT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY !!!

City of griffin is the worst. My bill was pass due of 5 days I paid the bill in full, plus extra to cover the fees to have service restored the same day. And was told by a man through customer service that my power won’t be cut on until Monday cause I paid the bill on Friday after 4pm. I repeatedly ask the man is there any other way I can have it restored the same day the bill was paid? I have two young kids at home (4)&(5) yrs old and a 80 year old grandmother that needs her breathing treatments, And the weather is 45 degrees outside. And he said it was nothing he can do. So I was forced to stay at a friends house for 3 days until the building reopens Monday. While food is being spoiled in my home ??

This place is absurd. Three days past due on a bill because your spouse is in Hospital in Atlanta, because Griffin has No healthcare, and they waste a man's time cutting you off ! No knock on the door, no second notice, nothing just cut them off! As soon as my wife is better we're gone !

Worse City to live in for your utilities, they told me that they would only give a $12 credit for a water leak that happened at my home. My bill always runs $35 a month and the leak caused it to be a $200 water bill. City stated that there was nothing else they could do.
