Bought boots from this location, I had them for 5 months. Boots were supposed to be waterproof and they failed after 5 months. Manager tries to blame it on "wear and tear". Keep in mind I only work 28 hours and 4 days per week for the past 5 months. They refuse to replace under warranty even though the issue is a manufacturers defect. To top things off after being in the store 2 times and speaking to 2 associates and 1 manager and even though I was not inclined to purchase another boot here they didn't even try to make the sale of another boot. They simply let me walk right out the door with my old defective boots. Don't waste your time or money here.

Went in to buy a pair of hunting boots. Looked around and found exactly what I was looking for thanks to Jessica. Jessica was very friendly, she was attentive while also helping other people out, and she was helpful while I picked out my boots. Great boots, even better costumer service. 5 stars. Thanks Jessica !

Excellent customer service!!! They do the "Ultimate fit Profile". You walk on the machine and the sensors measures your foot. I bought 2 pairs. This makes my rotation much easier. They also offered to resole my older RWs. Will definitely be back. Thanks!!!!

The manager was there when I went and she went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience to buy some work shoes. This kind of experience is what you miss when you blindly order online. I highly recommend stopping by and having this level of service!

EDIT: I emailed Dan (owner) at the address below on May 18, 2022. Never got a response. Since this post, the boots have fallen apart. I understand that it was from “wear,” but for $350, they should last a hell of a lot longer than 14 months. I was told to fix would be $162 and would take 6-10 weeks. These boots are unacceptable for the price, and the customer service of the brand, as well as the store, are only about pacification, not accountability or actual reconciliation. I hope this saves one buyer from making the mistake I did. If you continue to read the original post, the lace locking system mentioned broke (probably due to the “gentle pry” recommended by the store owner), and I would obviously no longer give the boots five stars on quality.Original Post:I bought a pair of Iron Rangers at this location in December, and I absolutely love them! I returned today because of a minor defect I’m having where the lock lace system is pinching the laces, causing the laces to fray. I was hoping to buy some more laces and maybe a tip on what to do about the defect. Staff was not helpful or empathetic; told me to order more laces online and that they had never heard of that problem before. I had seen similar comments on the Red Wing website before I purchased the boots, and was hoping for an inside tip. I expected part of what was built in to the price of these boots was the reputation of customer service; that was not my experience today. I was not helped, I was dismissed.Five stars on the quality of the boots, but I guess I’ll have to find another location for the rest of their life.

Bought some Iron Rangers here a couple years ago for Christmas, met the owner of the store super nice guy, was thrilled with the boots and store initially but stitching in the soles wore off within a year from purchase. They are now unwearable. These boots are not cheap and they are advertised as “high quality will last you years”. They are neither of these things.Additionally, I would like to clarify I not particularly hard on my shoes, I have many pairs of various other shoes that have lasted 5+ years of daily wear and tear. I saved money to be able to buy the iron rangers (350$) and they fell apart on me. Extremely displeased with the quality. See pictures below for stitching issue.

Shawna is amazing, helpful, and very nice. I returned a pair of boots I bought with a voucher because I needed a larger size. I knew it might be more difficult because it was with a voucher, but she took care of it, and helped me try a bunch of different sizes to find a pair that worked. Its hard for me to find boots I like and I like to try on a lot of different boots. She was nice and helped me the whole time. Great boots, even better service. When I need another pair I am coming back here.

I badly needed new safety toe work boots. I met Brian Nicholson at the Gainesville Ga store. He asked what I was looking for and walked me through all the viable options. (Pun intended). I left with a new pair of amazing boots and a friend. Brian was just outstanding. I work for a large manufacturing company and will tell all my coworkers to find Brian and get work boots.

Best pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. Inserts are like custom orthotics. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and with these boots (Iron Ranger) and slim fit inserts I don’t have any foot pain at all.

I bought two pairs of boots from the Gainesville store. First pair stated to fell apart in 5 months. Took them back and they gave me a new pair with no problem. Then the replacement pair the leather started to cracking. Took them back to the store. They told me it’s past the the year and could do nothing. They did give me a twenty dollar credit for a new pair of boots. Now 5 months later my boots are leaking. Took them back and they said they need to do a water test. Got a call today from I think was the owner. Tells me my boots are not leaking. Well tell that to my feet. He tells me that I have returned over $900 in shoes. Then tells me I will no longer receive the 30 day comfort guarantee or the year guarantee from defects. I returned one pair of defective shoes. Buyer beware of the Gainesville red wing shoe store. This is a picture of my replacement boots at 6 months.I do not understand how I abused your comfort/return policy. First boots bought started felling part at 5 months. Your store replaced them because they were with in the year of purchase. The replacement pair the leather started to crack. I did not get a replacement pair of boots because it was more than a year. So first Incident was not me abusing your policy. It was poor Quality of boot. Second pair was a safety boots that you staff recommended. But unfortunately they did not fix right. Now the pair of boots I bought at your store. Per your staff I bought one of your boot dryers to prolong the life of my boots. I feel like the dryer has shrunk the leather. I also feel my boots leak, but you say the don’t. So I do not like being told in your post that l was lying about about our phone call. So once’s again how did I abuse your policy.
