Like the gym, the Equipment is new including the Hydro beds which are great for me. Not too busy normally but the App will tell you how busy it is, before you go. Lots of new tanning beds, massage chairs etc.

Canceling at this gym has been an absolute nightmare due to horrible and hostile customer service. After multiple phone calls and visits I still don't have a proper resolution, with accurate paperwork. I'm glad that some how I was able to use my credit card instead of a banking account (huge red flag).This gym was extremely crowded (especially during the summer) and locker room was never cleaned. I highly recommend paying the extra money for a better gym. As a black card member I noticed other locations didn't quite have the same personal issues as this particular location, and it was easier to use the black card member perks such as discounted drinks, and massage chairs (a lot of time employees refused to turn them on).Update: I've already sent and have been sent multiple emails. I always leave a paper trail.

I am 68 years old and haven't been a member long. I use the treadmill and the bike. I usually try to do 30 to 40 minutes around 9 most mornings. The crew of Brooke, Lily, Chloe and Christina have been more than outstanding to me. Lily has chosen to be my personal cheerleader by giving me high fives and saying "Great job" before I leave. They all make me feel like my time there is worth it and their incredible kindness has been much appreciated. Thank you for the staff you've invested in because it doesn't go unnoticed.

Finally decided to join once they moved to their new location. The facility is very nice, all the equipment is in great working order, there are plenty of machines and equipment to use even on a busy day. Maybe it's because of the whole 'no judgement' thing, but people barely look at you and no one walks around randomly chatting up strangers. Everyone pretty much sticks to themselves or with whatever buddy they brought with them that day. It's kind of nice to be undisturbed and not gawked at like I have been in other gyms.I'm giving them a four-star rating instead of 5, though, because one of the biggest selling points for me was the fact that they have a circuit training room, but I have yet to be able to complete the circuit without having to skip a piece of equipment because people like to camp out in there and PF doesn't enforce the rules. That's super annoying. The goal was to be able to pop in on my lunch break and zip through the 30min circuit, but people will sit at the same piece of equipment for a solid 10 minutes and not care. I'm not going to go tattle to staff every few minutes when a new person waltzes in and plops down on a machine. There's a sign up and it's clear what the room is for, but until the rules are enforced, people are going to continue to take advantage.Otherwise, no complaints!

Me and my sister go 4-5 times a week and we are always greeted by staff and feel comfortable going The other day, my pendent on my important necklace fell off and I didn’t realize until I got home at 12AM. I called and they said they would keep an eye out and when I want the next day they had it saved for me!

The workout areas are very inviting.The gym is very open & spacious. It has a warm appeal. I used the 30- minute workout area. One machine’s digital rep counter was not working. Another machine had something blocking a weight which created a problem with changing the weights. Overall, the Gainesville Planet Fitness was a good experience. ?????

LOCATION MANAGER EXTREMELY HOSTILE!I needed to cancel my membership and the location was torn down and moved without ANY warning. I called several times to find a dead phone line. When they finally had a working number available, I contacted the location to cancel my membership and asked why it wasn't made known to me that they had relocated. We were told that emails were sent out, however I did not receive one to inform me that they had moved. I had received emails in the past about upgrading to their Black card and then received an email after calling to get help. That Friday we were told we would be contacted by the regional manager, but come Tuesday still nothing. So, I had to contact them yet again on Tuesday morning about canceling the membership. What I interacted with on the phone was a very hostile and defensive manager with absolutely zero compassion. I am disabled and driving can be extremely difficult for me (disabilities that arose after signing up for the membership the year before) and the intensity that I was met with from the other end of the line was shocking. She did not care to provide any help with the issue. When she was told that I didn't receive an email about their locations changing, she immediately accused me of lying about it, saying I put the wrong email on the account, YET, as I stated above, I have been receiving emails from Planet Fitness. I even got an email asking me to review my customer service report on Friday, so clearly that is NOT the case. This was one of the absolute WORST customer/management interactions I have ever experienced before. Seemed rushed to get off of the phone and quick to act defensive and call me a liar. It was extremely unprofessional and I feel horrible for any employees that have to work under a manager that treats CUSTOMERS that way. But I guess because I am trying to cancel, we no longer deserve any respect? I guess that is what you get for wanting a cheap gym membership....
