Love the hair cut . Only gave 4 stars because just like somebody else said they like to sell you other stuff so they're constantly pushing products and extra stuff when all you really want was a haircut. I do love hair cut . Sad part I came home wash my hair to much hairspray and gel was put in my hair I don't like any of that. I'll go back if I can just get haircut.

I recently moved to Gainesville and was recommended Hair Artistry by a colleague… I was not impressed.
The stylist kept spraying water all over me and was very rough when shampooing and cutting my hair. She poked my eye when cutting my hair and gave me bangs when I had explicitly told her I did not like bangs. By the time she finished, I looked like a poodle. For all of this, I was charged $55, plus tip. The most expensive place I have been to for a shampoo, cut, and style. I have since been to a different salon that gave great service and only charged $35, plus tip for a shampoo, cut, and style.

Peggy is my Hero!!! She had me come back and gave me a proper haircut. It was layered and cut like it should have been the 1st time before the bad lady butchered my long hair. Her shop is always clean and in order and they do stand behind their work. I still don't recommend Bobby for a haircut but thankfully Peggy saved the day again.

First time getting haircut at Hair Artistry. A few steps up from the chain places. Bobby provided me with the best haircut I’ve had in years, if ever. Reasonable priced and very professional.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this place is awful. I took my 2 boys for haircuts. We wore masks since my eldest has lung issues and a lot of germs are going around right now. She told my son to remove “that thing”. When I asked her to remove an ear loop at a time when cutting on each side she again stated to remove it. This exchange happened a couple times. After again saying we are being cautious he spent the entire time holding it up to his face. If you don’t want to wear a mask that’s your prerogative, but some people have to be cautious due to medical conditions. We don’t go around demanding people to put one on. We tend to our own business. On top of the rude attitude, the cuts were awful. Uneven and a gap or two. No fading done with clippers and neckline is too high. Never had such a negative experience. To top it off, as other customers checking out we’re saying merry Christmas and thank you’s none of them even responded. Won’t be returning.Service: Haircut

Got an appointment pretty quickly. Carlee Adams was the stylist I had. Did a super job with color, cut, blow dry, and style. Will definitely return.

The woman that cut my hair, Beverly, ruined it. I specifically told her how I wanted my hair cut. She bragged about her years of experience and said let her do her job. Now I have bangs, which I didn’t want. They are about 2 inches long. I’ve got short layers that go up on top my head and way high in the back. My hair is a mess and I can’t do anything with it. I will never go back to this woman/salon.

One of the most unprofessional experiences Ive had at a salon. Booked my appointment over the phone where the only thing asked was if I had my hair already dyed or if it was natural which at that point I informed them I did had some purple what would need to be correct. I asked for highlights/light brown hair color hair for the stylist to immediately tell me "no" when I sit down, making all sorts of faces as if I was inconvenience. "It was too much work for today" Okay so why not inform me of that over the phone instead of waisting peoples time? Then she calls someone else over who tried to explain that I should have told them over the phone that my hair is long and corse??? If it's such a big deal why can't they ask about it over the phone? Overall a huge waste of time.

Worst haircut of my life. The front is 3 inches longer then the back and all around isn’t even. Didn’t have time for another hair stylist to fix it, called the next day and told me I had to pay for them to fix it? They wanted me to pay for them to fix the hair the messed up to begin with. Horrible service, place full of scam. The hair stylist bragged about her years of experience cutting hair, just to leave my hair looking like a 5 year old did it.Service: Haircut

I came in and asked for my hair to be styled short on the sides and faded in, with longer on top so I can part to one side. Beverly was the hair stylist, she did an amazing job, and styled it exactly how I wanted it. she was very nice and professional.
