I was told I couldn't receive information on memberships over the phone. They have to see you in person to give you a membership quote.

Great gym, but note to owners: sometimes the staff BLASTS the loudest, worst rap music on the planet. It's incredibly whiney, repetitive, and annoying. And it's so loud you can't think. Stick to the music you normally play - it's so bad sometimes I cut my workout short.

Great gym, super friendly staff. I purchased the week pass while visiting on vacation. Will definitely come back if/when I am in Gainesville again.

Mediocre gym. Old equipment and lack of equipment. Gym is way too expensive for what they offer.

No exercise classes! Contracts are automatically renewed without consent. Equipment not kept up to date. Premises are not clean and personnel not helpful. Hours of operation limited. Would give zero stars if possible.

This place conducts very bad business. I went on BBB to see if there were any complaints and sure enough, a situation a year ago with not fulfilling personal training sessions on the part from this gym, but charging you money for personal training is still going on. I am currently caught up in the same situation. I joined personal training to work out with a specific trainer. I signed a 3 month contract, fulfilled it. Then I agreed verbally to do another 3 month contract. I didn't sign anything. The trainer was fired 6 weeks into my 12 week verbal agreement. The owner continued to charge me. The front desk gives you a run around saying "Only the owner can do refunds". Yet the owner lives in Tennessee and there is no way to contact him (David) except through email. He did say at one point that he would refund me my money since he fired the trainer, however he did not and now when I email him...he ignores my emails. I paid for a service that this gym didn't provide, personal training. I don't understand to why a client has to suffer because of a dispute between owner and ex employee? Extremely bad business and sadly these same tactics of his has been going on for over a year. There are also absolutely no workout classes. That is false advertising. I have been asking around about "who" this man, David, is? I have been getting nothing but negative feedback from his own employees, other gym owners and hos current gym members. A very sad situation and he essentially stole $598.00 from me.

This gym is not only doing false advertising with claims that they have workout classes, but they conduct very bad business. There are zero work out classes, no zumba, no resistance training, no aerobics of any kind and no yoga....zero classes. Their sauna doesn't work either. They do have workout equipment and a small pool. However the most disappointing thing about this gym is management and how the owner, David, does business. I went on the Better Business Bureau to see if any complaints were filed because I am caught up in an unfortunate situation between owner and ex personal trainer. At best I can only call it theft from the gym owner himself and sure enough his tactics are the same as the complaint filed with the BBB last year. My situation is that I joined personal training at Elevation for a specific trainer. I signed a 3 month contract and fulfilled it. I loved working with this trainer and then, verbally agreed to do another 3 months. I didn't sign anything at that time, just a verbal agreement and apparently they had my credit card on file. Everyone loved this trainer that worked out at the gym. Reasons unknown to me, the owner, David, let her go 6 weeks into my 12 week personal training sessions. This gym has not fulfilled my training sessions, yet they continued to charge me. When I inquired about a refund, the front desk gives you a run around saying that the "only person who can refund you is the owner, David ", but David lives in Tennessee and the only way to contact him is through email. At one-point he did respond back through email saying he could issue "a refund or credit ", however I have not received a refund and his current trainer said that "if she trained me, then she would not get paid". However his ex trainer said that she "wasn't paid " either. Now David is not responding to my emails...just ignoring them. What I know is that I was charged and money was withdrawn from my bank for services that I was not provided and the trainers are saying that they didn't get paid either. This is very bad business. It's a sad situation that this has been going on with other clients as well. No one likes to have money stolen from them and essentially that is currently what has happened.

Exert from the BBB;Initial Complaint06/02/2022Complaint Type:Problems with Product/ServiceStatus:UnansweredMore infoI had signed up for a personal trainer with this gym on March 3rd 2022 in the amount of $277 a month. on March 9th 2022 they charged me a second time in the amount of $277 stating it was because i asked for more time with the trainer. I did not agree to anything verbally or in writing . They have broken the contract with this unauthorized charge. I have gotten in touch with a few managers to try and get this resolved but they keep saying the refund has to come from the owner. I have asked for them to have the owner reach out to me since the March 9th charge and i have not heard anything back. i call them once every two weeks to try and get in touch with the owner but i keep getting the same message of that they will have the owner contact me, again to no avail. They have continued to charge my card in the amount $277 each month since the incident. The original trainer i had quit back on april 3rd, and they have not tried to even set me up with a new trainer if they wanted to continue the contract. I am now out $1108.00 from unauthorized charges from Elevation fitness and still have not heard back from the owner. i reached out to them today June 2nd 2022 to again try and come to a resolution and have my money refunded, and again i was told by a manager that it has to come from the owner which they said they would have get in contact with me. I have been fighting this for three months and nothing has come from it and the owner is dodging my messages.I am experiencing the same runaround.

For $60 per month, if you want a locker room that has all of the doors attached, then don't join. If you want benches and other equipment without torn upholstery, then don't join. If you want mirrors without major cracks, then don't join. If you want dumb bells that are in good shape, then don't join. If you want a working sauna, then don't join. If you want a clean bathroom area, don't join. If you want a clean shower without roaches, then don't join. If you don't want toilets overflowing and waste all over the shower area floor, then don't join. I have pictures validating all of this! If you want a run down over priced gym with limited hours, where the owner is not going to invest into repairing equipment, doesn't take care of long time customers, and hires people with the IQ of Tickle Me Elmo, then please join.

I got a membership to this gym in hopes to take classes, yoga Zumba etc. just like the website says as well as use the tanning beds when I go to the gym the lady at the desk told me they are not currently doing any classes and the tanning beds have not been working since Covid hit and she’s not sure if they’re ever going to work again. I was really disappointed because I really want a membership where I can take workout classes and tan The pool is OK. The hot tub is closed currently but the staff was extremely friendly

Gym itself is fine - a little outdated but the best in Gainesville in terms of access. Can get a bit crowded however. The main issue I had was with responsiveness to communication via email and phone. I cancelled my membership in January and was still charged all the way through May 2023. There is a 60 day notice to cancel after your first year contract. I had to submit 5 requests to cancel before it was finally completed. Gym itself is good, communication is terrible.
