Dr. Weaver and the tech were wonderful. They took great care of our injured boy and were very compassionate. It’s rare that you find people so dedicated to their calling, but not at this office. They are all fantastic and we wouldn't bring our pups anywhere else.

All of the staff was very caring and helpful. They even came out to carry my animals in for me, as it is a struggle for me. I did not have to wait very long to be seen. Dr. Funk gave the cats their shots so fast they didn’t even know it. They answered all my questions and gave me clear instructions. I would highly recommend this veterinarian.!

It is my honor as a top 2% master google reviewer to give these fine folks a 5 star review. They were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond and even helped in a few ways that were unexpected since Ava was rescued the day before. The service was excellent, they were up front with pricing and even went out of their way to find an alternative to a treatment for Ava since she is pregnant. Sam and the young female vet were fire! Best vet clinic in the area. Believe me I've been to several others and they have all been terrible. I highly recommend this clinic.

I was referred to this practice as my vet was unavailable and from the moment I arrived I was treated with such kindness and compassion. Dr. Weaver was kind, gentle and wonderful as she listened and communicated to me throughout the process. She tried so hard to figure out what was wrong with my Sadie and helped guide me as we made decisions for her care. I love that the staff communicates with each other and work together to figure what is best for the animal. The communication continued even after I brought Sadie home. as they would call periodically to check on her. When it came time to make the difficult decision to let my Sadie go, Dr. Potter and the technicians, Leigh and Sam especially, treated her so gently and lovingly. They were also patient and kind with me as I said goodbye. I highly recommend Animal Medical Care as it is obvious the staff truly care about the animals and love their jobs.

I was taught a very valuable lesson yesterday and I’ll get into that once I say how thankful, grateful, and just plain blessed I am for Dr. Funk and the staff at Animal Medical Care. I had never stepped foot in there until yesterday (Saturday). I’ve been wanting to switch to them but because of some wires being crossed in the past when I tried, I wasn’t able to get in until this emergency brought us in. The receptionist Stephanie, was extremely kind and compassionate on the phone in getting us in ASAP and her kindness continued once we got there. The Tech Melissa, was very kind and detailed in what was a life threatening situation that I was totally blindsided by because of my lack of knowledge on what was happening to my sweet girl. Once X-Rays etc. had been done, Dr. Funk came in to give me the devastating news. She was very kind and explained fully so that I could understand the urgency of surgery that was needed. After having a lot of patience with me and jumping through many many hoops, Dr. Funk performed the surgery. She explained that my sweet girl could possibly not make it due to infection but by the grace of God and an amazing Dr. and staff, they saved my Zoe-Girls life! She even called me today (on Sunday!) to give me that positive update I needed to hear so desperately, and that my sweet girl can come home tomorrow morning!! Y’all please ask questions at your vet if they don’t inform you of things you might think are silly to ask. Stay up on your pets health. I thought I had been but as I said, I was blindsided on this one. If you have a female dog that’s past the breeding phase please have her spayed. Me not doing this almost cost me my babies life! Lots look at their pets as just animals. Mine to me are sweet little (and big) 4-legged humans…My counselor, my best friend, my secret keeper, and my hug with unconditional love when I need it! Thank you will never be enough to you Dr. Funk, and your staff! And I also would like to give a big thank you to the sweet gentleman (that may or may not see this) for saying “I’m sorry” to me as I was beyond ugly crying as I was leaving yesterday. Needless to say, in 10,000 words or less, I HIGHLY recommend Animal Medical Care! Sending that big air hug that I’ve mentioned so many times!!Kim B.

Animal Medical Care have the best drs for our fur babies. My Samantha is not easy to deal with, she hates the vet & everyone there, but Dr Anderson was so good with her. She had a supposed spider bite that became infected & had to have surgery. She got the best care from them, & they tried to make it as stress free for her, as they could. Thank you, Dr Anderson ❤️

I came to this place by way of a referral from a stranger because we are new to Gainesville (probably my mistake)...When dropping our fur baby off (oh, by the way don't say "dropping off" say "grooming" even though you're dropping your fur baby off to get groomed ) I clearly said "NO" to the lady that did my questionnaire that I did NOT want our fur baby sedated because of how he acts once he gets home.Someone then calls my husband later on in the day to get permission to sedate him and he says yes. Well once he gets home I told him that I told them no and why! He now wants to know why they called him if I had already told them no. (A reason explaining why might would have worked but one was NOT given to him) My husband speaks to Amber (who tried to switch up what I said) BUT she did confirm that I said NO to sedation! Oh boy, once she confirms that, she angrily tells me and my husband "he's on the table and we can come and pick him up!" ? If they felt it was going to be a problem grooming him without sedating him, I could have just taken him back home with me instead of leaving him there! This is the ONLY place that requires and has previously sedated him in order to be groomed! So now because we're not agreeing to this sedation (BUT he's laying around like he got sedated) he doesn't get groomed at all!!!!!(see pic) Some things are meant to be and some aren't and maybe it's not meant for my fur baby to be going to this place for his care!!!I do wish these front desk receptionist behaviors were monitored and recorded like call center phone calls! It's no way they would let those 2 ladies be the representation of this facility!
