It's only got 2 people ever working out front sometimes just one but it's in base and it's not like it's constantly busy to be honest.

I've lived here for two years and lost hundreds of dollars in packages. USPS consistently delivers to the wrong address/mailbox. Pay extra at Amazon or use FedEx or UPS.

You are going to wait in line at least 30-45 minutes.

This location only closes for lunch when there is only one person working and never at any set time, just when the person gets an opportunity. The fort's official mail and distribution center (in the same building) closes 11:30-1300.

The two ladies that work the front counters are miracle workers! They hold the fort down and are both so kind.

The workers are fine. I haven't had a bad experience with the two clerks. Their computers can be very slow, unfortunately. It is very inconvenient that their operating hours are directly aligned with our military work hours 0900-1700 with 1130-1300 lunch break, so I have to take time off during work to get a package if I have one. It would be so much better if this place stayed open past 1700 and/or open for a few hours on the weekend. It's rather disappointing to have a package arrive early, but I can't get to it because of time conflicts!

I went to get my package and now they’re closed for lunch? Like how inconvenient does this have to be, don’t they see us soldiers only have time during our lunch, and at 1700 the post office is close!!! If there is an issues with staffing then hire more staff! My leadership wouldn’t want to hear that I have to go to post office during work hours, or interferes with the workload

I had my first experience at the Fort Stewart USPS office today. The two ladies at the counter were very patient and helped me with everything, answering all of my questions… definitely prefer them over the one in the city. Thank you!

I have been on Fort Stewart for over a year now. Wanda and Carey have always treated me with respect, have patiently answered all my questions and not to mention, the attention they give you on a one to one is like family. They don’t rush to get you out the door. Also, no matter if it’s raining, hot, cold, or just a miserable day, you will find these two wonderful people in good moods. Thank you for all that you both do.

The people at the post office are nice, but whoever delivers the mail can at least ring the doorbell or knock when they drop off a package... if I didn't check my email, I wouldn't have known it was even delivered! I was notified by the company I ordered from, twice. I was home both times. I'm lucky that my items weren't stolen with how long they were out there.

I have been a regular customer here at Fort Stewart Post Office and I have always had friendly, kind service.
Mr. Carey, Ms. Wanda, and Cowboy are always nice!
There was a young woman working there, I think Juliette is her name, she went out of her way to take good care of me when a package arrived damaged. She noticed the damage before I did, and handled it efficiently.
I'VE READ THE REVIEWS, AND THEY ARE SIMPLY NOT TRUE:
1) I've waited in line for maybe 15-20 minutes, even when I was at the end of a long line. NEVER have I seen an hour long wait at this post office. They are efficient and all hands at the counter when the lines are long.
2) I've filled out forms and seen others fill out forms. NEVER have I been told to get back in line, nor have I seen anyone else been told to get back in line. Always, I, or others I've observed, have been told to fill out the form at the end of the counter, and bring it back. I've even heard, more than once, "you don't have to get back in line, just bring it back to me".
3) As far as mail being open, I've NEVER had my mail opened here or at any other location. I've only recieved one damaged package at this, or any, post office, and it was promptly addressed and I was treated with respect.
Yes, I will recommend this post office, and will continue to be a regular customer.

This is the worst post office in the nation. Service is slow, information is flat out wrong. I asked to insure my 120 year old homes abstract. I mailed them to a lawyer next day. I was told i could not insure documents. If these documents got lost it would cost me about 1k in lawyers fees to recreate this abstract. I had no choice but to ship them next day. 2 weeks later they finally got there. In the process i found out through my own research in could insure the cost of recreating the documents. The people at this post office are the worst. The mail carrier is really lazy and wont deliver any package where they have to get out of their car forcing peiple to have to go to the post office to get nearly any box that wont fit into the mail box. This entire staff needs to be fired. They think becase they are on a military base that we work for them
