Spoke to manager after issue about lady yelling at my daughter and I. I know there will be nothing done. Only go if in the area. Avoid self check out.

They have so many items just perfect for one person. The meat looks so good and fresh. The vegetables are always fresh. The deli has so many yummy treats. All the varieties of bacon I like and some I have yet to try are there. Grocery shopping in the Commissary is like an ice cream creamery, SO MANY OPTIONS AT MY KINDA PRICE!

After decades of shopping at Costco, Publix and Kroger, the Commissary still has the best overall prices, especially for produce, dairy, and meat.

Really good selection of fruit and veg as well as meat and poultry. It's walkable if you don't have a car or don't drive.

From everyone hating the “tip culture” to expired goods being on the shelf past their dates. This one is just like the rest of Augusta; the bottom half of mediocre. Everyone goes to self-checkout because the cost of simple groceries are higher than they’ve ever been so everyone rather save that tip for something else more useful. But about the expired things. I try to go here more than off base because it’s a little cheaper and close, but after the last couple times, I have to really pay attention to EVERY item I’m buying. I’ve bought meat that was spoiled 3 times. Ironically all three different proteins. I’ve bought ice cream bars that clearly melted before they got put on shelves, and also got bread and milk that was past the date on the packages. Produce, well better get it as they’re stocking it because that stuff goes bad quicker than the command finding out about that DUI you just got. Unless you’re buying Chicken on a Sunday morning, or need something on your way home from work, it’s not worth going here for the bulk of groceries.

Great prices are better than local supermarkets.

I agree with some comments that are positive. I love this commissary. Lots of good fresh meat though some seasonal fruits can be somewhat disappointing. The ladies at the checkout are the BEST. The ones l have had are friendly and take time to care and not throw your food like a salad being tossed. They work very hard as it can get hectic. ?
