Let me preface this by saying that I have a rare form of RYR1 type Muscular Dystrophy. I’ve had 7 major spinal surgeries amongst other health issues revolving around chronic pain. I’m 29 years old and can still walk short distances… such as from the parking lot into the pharmacy. But that doesn’t mean it is easy or that I do so pain free. I typically use an electric wheelchair but when I don’t, I outwardly appear “normal” despite being far from it.My insurance changed since it’s the beginning of the year and I can no longer use CVS (which I had to because of insurance being contracted through them). I live in Folkston and would prefer to use and support a local business over corporate anyways so I was delighted to see that my insurance would cover my medications at Folkston Pharmacy. I had my doctor send my script there instead of Walgreens.I had 2 medications due for refill. One was 12.5mg Mounjaro which is on back order (it’s on back order everywhere) and the other was my controlled pain medication Oxcycodone. Now, before going on full time disability I’ve worked as a pharmacy technician for Walgreens. I know the ins and outs of how this all works and I understand that pharmacies and doctors have access to see my fill history. They can see that I’m on other medications aside from just the pain meds. Heck, I was trying to fill the Mounjaro at the same time! But they refused to fill my medication because the Mounjaro was on back order and they wouldn’t fill the controlled pain med by itself even though they had it. As a pharmacy tech I understand the red flags and targeted discrimination that they’re trained to look for but I can assure you, I am not one of those people who should be turned away and I have VERY valid reasons to be on the medications that I’m on. I left your store today feeling judged, discriminated against and let down. My parents used to use Folkston Pharmacy when I was a kid so going back as an adult after having lived out of state for the last 10 years was kind of nostalgic but it was also a HUGE disappointment. I went across the street to Walgreens and explained what had happened. They were sympathetic and filled my medications without complaint. So Folkston Pharmacy, here’s to you. You deserve this one star review. Do better by your locals!!

Went into there to have rx filled, would nit fill my Adderall because I had not renewed license to my new address ( we have just moved to the area) This is a LIE people your license does not have to match your address Especially when you RV full time and travel, they did fill my clonazepam, I take 4 other meds and I called back a few days later to transfer my other scripts that was when I was told they could not help me
