Avoid this place at all cost! NO COMMUNICATION FOR TWO ENTIRE WEEKS. WAS LIED TO REPEATEDLY REGARDING PARTS WHEN THE CAR COULD BE REPAIRED OR. AFTER TWO WEEKS NOTHING WHEN IT’S DONE, AND I HAD TO PICK THE VEHICLE UP AND CARRY TO A DIFFERENT SHOP. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND GO ELSEWHERE.

*Update* I got my car back, and I stand with my previous comment. I will never go here again for sure, maybe for a refund. Not surprised with their attempt to charge for extra stuff.Probably the most incompetent bunch of people I ever met. If you want the run around then go here. If you want to wait three days for a job as simple as replacing a dented pan then luckily this place is open. No one knows what communication is at this transmission shop. They have had my car for 5 months and refused to give me an answer about what is wrong with it. I call and they always give me the answer I'll call you. They never do. I would never recommend this place. Time to lawyer up. I want my car back.

I highly!!! recommend this shop. I have owned a service based business in Los Angeles for more than 30 years. I have over 5,ooo reviews and every review is 5 stars. I wish they were local for me!!! Service and Quality!!!I was traveling and needed a new transmission in Richmond Va. and was done by Cottman Transmissions there. Atlanta was as far as I got I guess they got me (an out of towner). Did not stand by the warranty and extra labor out of my pocket. I was taken to a hotel while the trans was fixed right this time. It was done back on 12/3/2021 it now 7 months later and 13K miles later and not one issue. Actually runs cooler than ever before because they recommended a new upgraded cooler because I tow a lot. I have had 0000 issues. I purposely waited this long to do the review. Please don't use anyone else if your trying to decide on who to use.Service: Transmission

Oakwood Transmission had my car for two weeks with absolutely NO communication with me as to what was going on with my transmission. My husband and I called multiple times and were told by the front desk lady, they were on a test drive with my car and would call back shortly. They never did. I had to physically go up there to check on my car and once again it was not there and was on a test drive???? This made me feel extremely uncomfortable!! I was then told they would definitely communicate with me the following business day with a verdict concerning my transmission--to no surprise they did not!!! I was really in disbelief with the poor communication and customer service, so I picked up my vehicle the following day, paid the stupid diagnostic fee and went else where. Not sure what their problem was, but they wasted my time!!!!Service: Transmission

The owner Donald is an amazing guy. He does have a lot of cars though so you might have to schedule an appointment. I don't think that you'll be in and out in one day.
