I really felt long and hard about this review and tried really hard to just let it go. But I did call several times and try to get it resolved and was ultimately told you have to check a certain box if you want your items insured, in the ads it’states insured and bonded. I really like both of these people and Thomas is such a great person. I’ve been a business owner for many years and I’ve owned several companies and I just believe in making things right.
They did not wrap any of our furniture, they just loaded it. It was covered and debris, I didn’t say anything about that , then when I looked at the table with the six white chairs the table was severely damaged. A big chip taken out, large marks all over the top of the table and then the white chairs were never wrapped. The fabric nor did they wear gloves so the dirty handprints from grease from the truck were all over all of the chairs. It was just heartbreaking.
They chipped the paint coming in. And got hand prints on the stairs. As a business owner I know how hard it is to get people to do the work like you do it and I certainly just wanted the benefit of the doubt and to be taken serious. I never got that.
I even asked you do have insurance, and they said no we carry insurance on our guys and then if you want insurance you need to sign a waiver and carried on your contents. I have never heard of that and I’ve moved things from place to place 40 times for other clients. Just hurts to write this. They are friends.
We have always used the college Hunks or a Better Way for short trips. Thomas said, no I’ll take care of it, let us. I thought I would give them a shot Because as agents we refer a lot of clients.
I added just a few photos of the table and chairs ,but there were hand marks on the wall and my blue sofa was just covered where they didn’t wrap it they ended up breaking one of my lamps it was wrapped in a box but again they said nothing was covered through their insurance. ☔️

Highly recommend Tate the Great Moving Company! Over the last five years we have had the need to hire movers three times. The first two times we used A Better Way, and they were average, but always highly recommended on Nextdoor. I decided to see if I could find someone better and I did. Tate the Great was pleasant to work with, easy to schedule, and the three movers they sent on Saturday were the most hardworking movers I’ve ever had. They were also very careful and reasonably priced. They are veteran owned, bonded, and insured.

The Tate The Great movers were courteous, professional, and efficient in both packing and moving. They loaded and unloaded my belongings with precision, making sure everything arrived at my new place in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I hired Tate The Great packers and movers as other moving companies were exceeding my budget. They were truly amazing. Booking process was smooth and made exceptionally simple. They wrapped and packed everything pleasantly and delivered in my new location safely just as I expected. They handled my belongings with care throughout the moving process, and their staff is extremely professional, diligent, and punctual. Had a great experience with this company.

I initially wrote a review about Tate the Great, and while I had ambivalent emotions about their performance, I was ultimately dissatisfied with the fact that I had damaged items and after months of back and forth with a claims company I couldn't contact, those items were never repaired/replaced. I reluctantly decided to post my negative review. Within minutes of posting the review, the owner himself called me to rectify the situation. He apologized immediately and offered to repair the items I specifically mentioned in my review. To me this is the best possible outcome of writing a reivew. A company that truly cares about their name and the satisfaction of their customers. He was unaware of my grievances and wished he knew sooner. Although there were some setbacks, his response and expeditious movement to action make me not even hesitate to use them if I need to move again. Those companies that make excuses for a customer being dissatisfied without even an attempt to rectify the situation, please take note, this is how it's done.

Tate the Great Movers came through in a big way. I needed a 94 bedroom apartment complex (with no elevators!) emptied with almost no notice. They squeezed me in and worked until the job was done. Everyone was so courteous, asked questions instead of assumed, were communicative, and pleasant to work with. I would not hesitate to use them again for a personal move or another commercial move. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend!

The Tate the Great moving crew were true to their company name on both of our moves: GREAT! Great attitudes, great work ethic, great on timeliness, and great to work with! We had a period of time between moves which required storage for most of our household items and furniture. No problem for Tate the Great - they offer affordable storage, too! I highly recommend Tate the Great to anyone who is moving!

Excellent! From start to finish!I gave my deposit, they called to confirm time, showed up when they said, explained all the paperwork ahead of time, had 4 intelligent and strong men with positive attitudes who carefully wrapped and moved everything at a very fast pace then set everything up and were gone.They asked where everything went and made sure I was absolutely satisfied with placement of everything and even moved stuff a couple of times after they already brought it in.All the payment stuff went through exactly as explained with no hitches.I truly can't say enough good about this team and would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks for everything I wish you good luck for your future and will recommend to friends and relatives. The packing and storage services of the Tate Company is really awesome. They use the best stuff to keep all your fragile belongings safe and secure. All they charge is a very nominal amount and have the best staff to help you out in your relocation. Try their services right away for a hassle free traveling. I just loved to hire them in Georgia.
