The inside was nice and I liked the fence in porch areas. However the beds were hard and the pillows were flat. There’s not that much to do would have been better if there was someone there. No attendant or manager. At night it was kind of eerie being all alone. Would have been better if the lodge had some kind of amenities or entertainment for guests like a game room or a movie room something along that nature.

The cabins in the park were full. We were able to stay just one night by calling the park directly. The cottage was very clean. We would like to come back & stay longer. We did not have time to take advantage of the screened porch. Great place to stay for visiting the Okefenokee. Tip: bring everything you may need to eat, the nearest restaurant & groceries are far & in the opposite direction of the park.

Very nice. Very clean but The custodians there were very rude. I understand this is a state owned facility and the custodians here are not from this area. Not even this state. The wife was very rude and vindictive. She knew we would need the vacuum cleaner to clean with after our wedding reception, instead of leaving it out for us to use, she locks it away. I mean really?? People that are given this type of responsibility need to have better people skills and manners.... in other words LEARN SOME SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY...CONCERNED FARGO RESIDENT

I'm sorry, but this place is not for me. Secluded, but more like a remote motel than a lodge. Not at all 'eco' as the name implies. Expensively and well appointed but there are no trails, fire pits, picnic tables or anything that encourages the outdoors. But there is a TV!!!!! Should invest in wifi extenders so calls can be made in an emergency or to make reservations at the State Park that is 18 miles away instead of having to stand outside the community building to get connection. I would not stay here again. We were the only ones there. Sort of a weird place. I guess if you're a large group it might be nice.

Pleasant, quiet grounds. Comfortable accommodations. Loved the screened porch for morning coffee and evening thundershowers.

Best place to stay if you want to explore the swamp with your family. Lovely cottages with comfy beds, screened porches, air conditioning and full kitchens with pots and utensils so you can cook "at home."The two bedroom cottages are huge, with separate beds and bathrooms and a very large living room space and full kitchen. It is about 20 minutes to drive over to Stephen C. Foster park from the Eco-lodge.Be aware that Fargo is a teeny tiny town with one restaurant, one gas station and now, an awesome Dollar General! Everything is closed by 10:00 at night so be prepared if you are getting to town late.

Nice, but it's 18 miles from the park, yet run by the park? The isolated, sort of weird vibe here makes it kind of neat. The place is almost entirely empty of guests (yet newer), a single unit has a group/public style restroom with 2 stall toilets and 2 showers? Why!? So weird.Staff here is awesome, helpful, and friendly, but how does this place sustain itself with next to zero customers? State tax dollars I guess.

The cabin was great. We had the two bedroom on the end. Nearly 2000 sq ft. Lots of room. Everything worked, even the ice machine in the fridge. Very quiet and dark so the telescope viewing was as good as it can get in a humid environment.

Three different cabin layouts all with full dishes, linen, kitchen...all you need. Amazing screened porches with rocking chairs! Only 18 miles from the beautiful Stephen C. Foster Park.

I nice little Georgia state run lodge consisting of repurposed camp cabins. Wheelchair accessible in a beautiful part of the state. Close to the start of the Suwannee River. We have stayed here twice before the annual Suwannee 230 canoe and kayak race. The important thing is to contact them before check-in to get the gate code and the combo for the lock that holds the cabin key. The office is not always manned.
