This place was so cool!! They have premade food with their mushrooms, fresh picked mushrooms and so many cute souvenirs to take home! The staff were super friendly! Can’t wait to visit again.

I would leave zero stars if possible!!
Let me be very clear, the farm itself is wonderful to visit. That is not what I am here to review. The Elijay Mushroom 5k and/or fun run hosted yearly in May IS what I am reviewing. My friend and I attempted to attend the race, and signed up prior to the day. Sadly, my friend got food poisoning and we STILL tried to attend. We were late, but the website listed other amenities available if you did not want to run. We already paid $40 EACH so yes we wanted to go and possibly enjoy ourselves. Worst experience we could have endured. We arrived 22 minutes past 9 (the start time for the race) and had to walk (sick) to the farm. It took us a while with NO shuttle because my friend could not go fast. We FINALLY find a worker who, I must add, was friendly and hoped to ease our troubles because we offered to pass on The race and enjoy the extras. THERE WERE NO EXTRAS LEFT!! NOWHERE on the website does it list there is a limit to how many people they have t-shirts ad food for. By the time we arrive, all the hungry runners beat us to every drink, every bag of chips, every sample dip, and every t-shirt they had. The website lists "for all participants." I have picture evidence of this listed online. The director, when FINALLY found, rudely brushed us off as an annoyance two HOURS after arriving and receiving NO goods or services for our payment. He said "email the website for a partial refund." I knew arguing or being rude to him would get me now where, I do not believe in showing unkind behaviors. I turned to the email (although knowing I may have reached an end) and STILL have heard nothing back. I will NOT be returning and advise ALL not to go. It was crowded, we walked back on a PUBLIC STREET with the race cones removed and cars zooming around us on country roads to walk back to the winery UNDER CONSTRUCTION next door (which online said they would have two wine samples/tastings per person 21+) and left exhausted, sick, and angry.!!!

Great little store! Has meats and cheeses as well as fresh mushrooms. Plenty of mushroom related merch all at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Absolutely love Ellijay mushrooms. I pretty much bought everything in the dang shop. It was all so unique, fun and great quality! We left with mushrooms as well which were delicious. The owner did take time to speak with us and give us a little background and information on the grounds! This place is so beyond cool!

We enjoyed our visit to The Mushroom Farm. Brianna was so helpful and kind! She helped us pick out some Golden Oyster Mushrooms and even told us how to cook them. They were so delicious!

What a great and unique place! The mushroom grow houses were so cool to see. They have a little store where you can purchase fresher than fresh mushrooms, local beef and premade mushroom risotto, broth, etc plus many other items related to mushrooms. We purchased a pound of shiitakes and a strip steak. Both were amazing! Never had such good mushrooms. Breanna was so sweet to talk with as well. If you like mushrooms definitely visit!
