Absolute horrible customer service. I drove a total of 4hrs to come get a puppy for our family. I called multiple times asking if they could manually enter my credit card information because I was pending a new card in the mail as my old card would that tap, swipe, or insert.I was told multiple times that they could. I showed up. Our family found the perfect mini Goldendoodle. Filled out all the paper work and when I went to pay was told they couldn’t enter the card manually. Working in IT, I knew that was a lie. I showed them how to do it on the clover Point of Sale system they use. They then told me that the owner wouldn’t allow it to happen. I called Mr Hunt, the owner, and explained my situation and what I was told. He told me his employees know better and without saying, called me a liar and scammer. I told him to pull the recordings, but I doubt that will happen. He then offered his stores financial services which are absolutely ridiculous compared to what I currently have. They lost a substantial sale and a customer for life. I’m also aware that these front counter workers make money from sales. I feel bad that the girl helping my family missed out on this commission, but unfortunately the owner prevented that. I could tell she was heart broken.I should have read all of the ratings and took them to heart before driving this way. The only way Mr Hunt keeps this store running is by manipulating people into terrible financial deals.

Went there just to check out the place and it was super good. It has display of small to big dogs, in total more than 20, and couple of cats, rabbits, pigs and a tortoise. They also have atleast 5 types of birds collections, and some of them are left open too. I think they also have playtime where you can rent the pet you choose for a specific time for play which seemed very fun. They even sell pet food and bird cages.

Very disappointed with my visit today. I purchased a Rabbit and was quoted the wrong price for the cage that was $100 more than I was told. No one could tell me the sex of my Rabbit and Lastly it was a rude male worker who had a very unpleasant attitude. I most definitely won't be returning to that location. Not a good first experience.

I purchased my puppy from them November 30th and all was well until the second day we had her. she developed an infection that could’ve been when she was around nothing but feces. Either way the dogs aren’t safe to buy!

Pros:- The staff were relatively friendly. - the store is a nice size and easy to walk around in. - the little cubicles are nice to get to know the pets in. - seems relatively cleanCons:- I wondered if the puppies were given sedatives because they were all sleeping unusually hard (I actually wondered if one was alive) and they have 5-6 of them together in a very small space. - though the staff seemed friendly, about 5 or 6 of them kept coming up to me to asked if I needed help. This seems like good customer services on the surface, but after the third person, it was annoying and made me feel uncomfortable. I just went in to look, but something about the energy of that place just didn't feel right. I wouldn't likely purchase from there.

there were 5-6 puppies in one cage. three big breeds in one cage with poop everywhere. the puppies were even covered in their own poop. bird cages were nasty. seems like these people only care about profit and not about the care of these animals. super neglectful. these conditions can cause serious illnesses. i would be careful about buying from this place.

My husband and I recently adopted a kitten from Petland, and normally I'm apprehensive about supporting pet stores versus places like the humane society, etc. When they told me the price of a kitten I wanted I was baffled, but had bonded so well with her that I shrugged off the rather steep price tag. It wasn't until I got home and went through the paperwork that I noticed this poor kitten had not received the proper care it needed. I took it to the vet the next day for a wellness exam, not only did Petland misgender the kitten (minor issue, but still...), but none of the essential shots were given, and the poor baby had roundworm. What exactly did my money go toward? I ended up checking reviews on Yelp about this place and others have complaints regarding the integrity of the establishment as well.

The staff here are friendly and attentive, especially the gentleman with curly brown hair. Everytime I walk in, he always asks if I need any assistance, or would like to see/pet any of the animals. He seems to be knowledgeable, and truly enjoys what he does.

Bought my lil pup Baxter here! The staff was super helpful, allowed my pup Mazie to come to see if her and Baxter would be a good fit! Very good experience!!

Last US chain that sources puppies from puppy mills. They get them from USDA certified breeders. Which are mills by definition. Look up for yourself what it means to be a USDA licensed breeder per The Humane Society

Been to this location a couple of times debating on buying a dog or not. I've made my decision to not shop here for multiple reasons. I understand not being able to know all the information about the dog unless checking the iPad but I genuinely think the owners of this place write dog that wrong details about the dogs. I have a full bred poodle and when I went to Petland to find a poodle I could tell they didn't have any full bred. The employees tried to convince me that this one dog I had was full bred be for real! The pricing for these dogs are already ridiculous because I could buy one of these dogs from a breeder and would not pay that much. I will continue to adopt from a local animal shelter even if I don't get the exact dog I want. I genuinely wish these cute animals didn't have to live in such a shitty facility.

petland has been the worst place to work at as someone who is 16. As someone who loves animals this experience was the worst, the owner was creepy and said he wanted to date me and kept giving me googlie eyes. they abuse the puppies and keep them in small confined spaces, the rats eat themselves to death and the bunnies and Guinea pigs are housed together. This work enviroment has been the worst for someone who is only a minor, I was traumatized based on the things that were going on behind the Petland slogan. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Petland Dunwoody is responsible for one of the greatest heartbreaks in my life. In March 2020 I adopted a Shihpoo puppy from this location. Within 48 hours she became so ill I had to rush her to the Cobb County Animal ER, who then had me transfer her to All Creatures. After five days in the hospital, she made a miraculous recovery and came home with me. Diagnosis: Parvo and hypoglycemia. I nursed her back to health and was able to spend three wonderful years with her, until she fell ill again in June 2023 and passed away on my living room floor. While I do fault her vet also for not properly diagnosing her (took her to her vet twice in the days before she died), I ultimately fault Petland, as I believe her illnesses were a direct result of her early living conditions at this store. I don't believe she ever fully recovered from her initial illness, but was able to keep them in check due to a strong immune system. I am devastated, heartbroken, angry and so hurt. I believe she came from a puppy mill, then was kept in such poor conditions at Petland that her lifespan was cut short from the very start. While I don't regret my girl and would do anything to get her back, I'd highly advise looking elsewhere for your companion. You will become very attached to an animal that might not live that long, due to how he/she was bred and cared for at this store. I emailed them and they still haven't written back, not even to express their condolences. They do not care about these animals. Because of this, I am grateful I rescued mine from here, and even though she lived a very short life, I'd like to think I gave her the best one she could have had. Shame on you, Petland. RIP to my sweet Buddha girl. Mommy loves you.

Super fun Pet shop. Very well managed. We were able to interact with so many wonderful animals.
