Don’t file your taxes with Linda Pate , terrible service and worse customer service.My 2021 taxes , which were done in Feb 2021, were not filed till 2024 Feb , and I made multiple trips to their office and made multiple phone calls. They charged me $300+ and still the return dint go through .Stay away !

Carolyn Parker here has done our taxes for the past two years and has been great. We usually upload documents ahead or time or bring them with us to meet in person as she enters everything. I really appreciate that she takes the time to explain things and answer all our questions without rushing - even if she doesn't know the answer off the top of her head she'll break out the big book. Last year in particular we had a trickier tax return and I really appreciated the time she took to ensure everything was 100% correct, even though it meant following up the next day.

The worst Tax filling company ever. I will never return to HR block again and will try my best to stop my friends from using this software. This service has disappointed me on multiple levels.Below are just few of the reasons I found irritating1. No value to scheduled appointments what so ever2. They cancel or move appointments at their will3. The allocated Tax Specialist goes missing from earth after visiting for the appointment4. They do not return multiple calls5. They hire retired and illiterate tax professionals to waste your time

Went in to verify what documentation I would need to file my business taxes. Basically Carolyn Parker refused to allow me to schedule an appointment with her even though she was the one that was automatically assigned to me via online. She outright told me that it appeared that I was someone who needed someone to hold my hand and proceeded to refer me to someone else. (Just because she didn't want to do the work) She advised she only works part time only on Saturday and Sundays. I said that would be fine. She still outright refused. It was disgusting. And I could clearly see that she just didn't want to do the work and she was pushing me off onto someone else.

I will definitely be having H & R Block do my taxes again next year! I was warmly welcomed and had steps explained along the way by auto emails and also Ken, my assigned preparer. Ken was friendly, informative, suggested ways to save more on paying taxes. I was able to communicate with him via a personal message page to him; then he either replied there or called me to discuss things. It was easy to upload documents by taking pictures of them, and then using the app or site to click on "upload" from my phone. And it was all completed within a week!

The worst!!! Pro is not a pro but a newbie who has no idea. 2 weeks and not even started. Poor attitude including arguing, getting agitated and being dismissive towards a customer. Hanging up the phone is the lowest of the low. They only provide excuses including disparaging the main corporate office. Never going back to H&R Block after some 15 years. This ‘pro’ needs to be fired while the franchisee gets shut down for good. Terrible for the company brand.

I submitted my small business taxes to Charles Watson at the H&R Block at 4768 Ashford Dunwoody Rd at 2p on March 12th, 2021. As of today on June 5th, 2021, he told me over the phone that he hasn’t gotten started on them. The male receptionist that I’d booked with at the outset intentionally withheld useful information that I’d learned about from a different office, and admitted it once I noted the omission.Mr. Watson was unapologetic about discarding my submission and was audibly excited to recommend that I find another accountant. I called to follow up with him on April 22nd and then on May 18th. On the 22nd, he hadn’t started my file. On May 18th, he told me to give him my credit card information for a fee that he was charging for his not having initiated my filings by then. He said he’d need three to four weeks to get it in. I followed up again via phone on June 5th. He said he was going on an 8-week sabbatical in July and wasn’t going to promise that my March 12th documentation would filed by that point, either. His comment was that he didn’t recall what we discussed, that they were understaffed, and that he chose not to prioritize my file.

DO NOT DEAL WITH CAROLYN PARKER. Poor customer service.I am a newbie to the city, I was so excited to select and support a woman of color in Atlanta. I had heard so much about Atlanta being the place for Black professionals. Needless to say, I am disappointed... we gotta get it together ATLANTA. This person (Carolyn Parker) sent one email and never followed up. Never. I uploaded all of my documents, and I called and emailed her several times. I finally sent a message stating "I am at a loss here... can you at a minimum file an extension?" NO response. I called and spoke to Carolyn's supervisor and he tried to make excuses for her. Even HE didn't get back with me. I would not recommend Carolyn, and now having escalated to the branch management with no response I would not recommend dealing with this branch on Ashford Dunwoody Road. My taxes aren't complicated, and clearly they aren't capable of working with someone who has personal and business taxes. But to be clear, even if the competency level is there, the lack of professionalism follow -through and competency doesn't make up for it.It's not hard to respond. It's not hard to follow up. Or take your name off of the list and say you aren't available for new clients. But just like an old raggedy hair salon, they load up on clients and we sit there all day. I have waited over a FULL MONTH and taxes are due in 6 days. Moving on!!
