The facility looks to be fairly clean. It was hard for me to get up the ramp where the gated truck and car entrance is because there are yes stairs and I just had a recent knee injury. Unloading was a challenge. Ask there was a house roach in front of 5040 in the middle on the floor alive on it’s back and looked like dog poop in from of 5036 I let the manager know, she said she was coming up shortly. The onboarding process was fairly easy. Hopefully my stuff don’t get bugs, I can’t afford that headache.

It’s a mixed bag at this storage facility. My categorized reviews:Customer Svc: 4Pricing: 3Advertising accuracy: 2-3Location: 5Safety: 3-4Cleanliness: 3 (restroom); 4 (storage areas)The location is unbeatable. The staff is really friendly. They have plenty of supplies. They allow you to use their dumpster whereas many storage facilities do not. These are some of the pluses. Sadly, the minuses outweigh them for me, and I’m considering taking my business elsewhere. Take heed…Sometimes no staff is there when the facility is scheduled to be staffed. Also, I did not appreciate the deceptive advertising. Before I rented here, their website said that someone lives on the premises. I get there to sign up only to find out that this did not apply to *this* particular facility. OK, so why would they state that online? There are many aspects of their website that allows them to customize and personalize details and offerings at each respective facility. So I know that they can remove this info as it regards the Dunwoody facility. False advertising at its finest. The size of the units also seem to be slightly smaller than advertised.Also, there is a wire in each storage unit with a little bud attached to it. (Look up high just behind the unit door.) Honestly, it looks like a camera to me. I covered mine with tape right after I moved in. I’m not sure what it is, and I really need to go back through my contract and read it carefully. If indeed they are surveilling every unit, this is disgusting and a gross violation of customers’ privacy. If you’re going to rent here, be sure to ask what that wire is with the camera-looking thingamajig at the top of the unit. I can’t confirm that it is a camera, but it sure is suspicious.Interior directional signage is nonexistent. For most storage facilities, this is basic. Adequate signage, like street signs, that direct you to where the units are located and which numbers are where. Not at this CubeSmart!The restroom is not cleaned regularly. I went to use it one day, and there was a long strand of hair hanging off the toilet. The next week, the same strand of hair was still there. One day, I dropped something on the bathroom floor and had to wipe up the floor. The paper towel was black when I got done. Midnight BLACK! The floor clearly does not get mopped very often. In this day and age we’re living in, cleaning and sanitizing are not the corners to be trying to cut! Flu. RSV. COVID. All kinds of other bugs and viruses. With as much money as these facilities make, this shouldn’t be too much to ask. (And the poor sink looks like it will break off the wall any day now and crush someone’s foot!)The biggest gripe I have is that the facility often does not feel safe nor secure. The gates are broken on a regular basis …just standing open for anyone to get in. Mgmt obviously in no hurry to repair such issues. The elevators are broken on a regular basis. The other big deal-breaker for me is the lack of outdoor lighting at night!The pics (darkness/broken gate standing open) were taken on the evening of Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Some show me entering the facility…other pics are when I exited. I was almost afraid to enter, and if I hadn’t needed to drop some things off so badly, I wouldn’t have. At all! If the lights do ever come on under the garage, it’s LONG after dark has set in. I’ve experienced this numerous times in the recent months. I’ve also seen other customers on the ramp working in the dark. It’s the perfect recipe for an assailant to lurk in the corner of the garage and attack you when you come out of the sliding doors. Broken gate. No lights. Yep, they make it easy for a would-be criminal.My rent was recently increased, but with all these issues, I don’t see the justification for me paying more. Being able to work in a well-lit and secure area after dark should not be too much to ask. The orange guys always have lights. I think I’ll go rent from them. Do better, CubeSmart. Do you not understand that customers have a great many choices in where to store our goods?

Not a secure location. Doors broken and the cameras haven’t worked in the last 6 months. The district manager doesn’t return calls at all.

Daphanie and Darryl at the Ashford Dunwoody , GA Perimeter location were always personable and helpful to me. I had a great experience with Cube Smart and will definitely use them again.
