Nice small art gallery with world class art exhibits. Pottery studio is super nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I took graphic design classes at the Johns Creek Arts Center and had a great experience learning about creating magazine covers and printable newsletters. The practical applications were excellent, and the staff was both professional and well-organized. While I found the prices and dates to occasionally be rigid and expensive for a working adult, I still highly recommend this place for art education.

I’ve taken Clay classes at JCAC since 2006. Every instructor I’ve had has been excellent. And fellow students are wonderful!I I wish I were still physically able to take the next class but I will have to improve before that happens. I miss every single person I know at the arts Center. ❤️

Excellent place with caring and talented instructors. This was the first time my 12 year old son attended camp. He chose the pottery wheel class and had so much fun all week long. Many of the students are planning to go back for the same week next summer. He learned how to make his own pieces and glaze them. I highly suggest checking this place out.

In short: I am new to art. I took a night class for encaustic wax/mixed media, which I was not familiar with before. I absolutely LOVED this class. Amanda was a great teacher. I would 100% recommend and am looking forward to my next class.In long: I’ve always liked art and had a creative side and wanted to do more art bur never actually did it or could come up with ideas. My mom gave me the idea of signing up for an art class here, and I thought that would be a great opportunity to make me do art and get into hobbies. I am SO glad I did. I signed up for the mixed media encaustic wax class and I 1) had no idea what that was and 2) had never taken an art class so didn’t know what to expect. I called the instructor, Amanda, and she was so helpful and quelled my first art class nerves and answered my questions. Every time I came to this class I was able to get into a flow state and just have so much fun. I literally would go to glass and be like wow I forgot that you could have this much fun. I absolutely loved it. Also Amanda is a phenomenal teacher for all experience levels. She’s a talented artist, great at teaching, and super accommodating and able to pivot on her feet quick. The class has a focus on building your skill level and knowledge of the techniques each class instead and then giving you free time to work on your projects. Overall I had an incredible experience in her class and would recommend it to anyone looking to do more art in their lives. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up to try the water color class next to learn techniques about that too!
