We’ve been to this salon 7 times previously, positive experiences and wonderful people. Our past stylist (Zack, we think?) was great and understanding! Given this, we expected to visit again to a positive experience.
Unfortunately, this will be our last time here. As context, my brother has curly hair and has been growing his hair out & taking care of it well for a while. His hair texture always raises questions, but it’s naturally curly and the past stylists have done great jobs with it. The man this time we cannot say the same.
After numerous specific comments on the requested styling, he neglected to listen and was adamant about his opinion. We asked to trim it shorter, but instead he said it would “look weird” and that he can’t work well with it because “his hair is not like normal people.” He deemed it “done” and my brother left the chair with his sides buzzed short and the rest untouched. Horrible look, we asked him to redo the trimming to which he continued to argue back about our requests according to his opinion.
He begrudgingly took him back to the chair to “fix” his mess, all the while rolling his eyes visibly, sighing loudly, banging equipment around, and giving me (his sister) dirty looks while I waited. He ended up chopping off the parts we exactly requested to keep long, not trimming the parts we wanted short, and keeping up this unprofessional attitude he’s had from the beginning.
Unless you have “normal people hair”, we would not recommend this place. If the man was not qualified to handle this hair type, all that was needed was honesty and polite communication.
Hair type: Curly
Stylist: older man

Got a perm ($120 for man) here as a man back in February and thought I come back here to do a cleanup since it was growing out long.
In June, I came back for a fix up. Biggest regret in my life. the lady here does not know how to cut hair. I honestly think they might have went to a 2 week barber/salon boot camp in someone’s garage. The sides weren’t even evened. I didn’t made a scene or anything paid and tipped well, won’t be back ever again.
I also don’t think their man perm is that great barely lasted 1.5 month before it turned straight again. I work at home as a software engineer so I don’t have to meet anyone. If you work in a job or have to deal with person, your hair will not be client presentable. You might as well have your son cut your hair cause I don’t think these folks can cut better than you 8 year old son with a clipper and scissor.
Requested style: Feb: wavy loose permed
June: hair was growing out so I asked to fix the side and maintain it
Hair type: Black straight Asian hair

Yung has been cutting mine, my wife’s, and my son’s hair for about 12 years now. I wish I lived closer because he is an awesome hairstylist. I can’t find anyone who does my hair so meticulously. Love it.
Hair type: I have medium length blond hair that I comb to the side.
Stylist: Yung is my go to stylist . Choi is awesome too, though.

I went to this hair salon yesterday with high hopes, but unfortunately, I left utterly disappointed. Despite explaining exactly what I wanted, they completely missed the mark and gave me a style that was the exact opposite of what I asked for. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone looking for a hairstyle that actually suits them.
Requested style: Long style but they did really short

Tried this salon for the first time while visiting Atlanta. The guy at the first right chair did an amazing job with my haircut. I showed him a picture for reference . He was very professional and the salon had a very nice atmosphere.

not what i asked for. they don’t know what they are doing
i had beautiful long hair with layers going in, i loved my layers and asked to keep my layers but just to cut my hair a little bit shorter (as it has just gotten too long over the years) they chopped off all my layers and did not give me layers. just a straight haircut. when they finished they asked me if it was okay, and i asked “is this already layered” and the confirmed and said yes it was layered. i didnt even know what to tell them because my hair was cut so short even if i wanted “layers” at that point they would have to cut off more. my hair was to my waist/butt when i went there and they cut it all the way shoulder blade length so it was too short to do anything with layers. i went home and looked at it closer and my hair was not layered (even though i asked for layers upfront and they confirmed it was layered). they do not know what they are doing here and will never come back.

Unfortunately they were not honest with me. I have been growing my hair for the past years and it was finally getting long and healthy. I had been here before for haircuts but never imagined how damaging getting anything else here would be. I asked for balayage and they agreed and said they could do the work. After they started bleaching my hair, they would open and add more chemicals for over an hour. Even though she noticed my hair was melting she said nothing every time i asked if everything was ok. I spent 6 hours sitting there and at the end she suggested i came back because she knew she had ruined my hair but i didn’t, so I paid… almost $400 just to get home and have chunks of hair in my hands. I cried because it was years worth of work and dedication to my hair and now it was all ruined. I didn’t call them because the least I want is them touching my hair again. I now have shoulder length hair and trying to recover my hair. They did the same to my mom, who came in and got it bleached… why? I don’t know because my mom’s hair is full of greys, then came back 3 weeks after for a touch up and they dyed it back to brown… smh. They really don’t know what theyre doing. I can only recommend not color, balayage or highlights be done here. They’re not trained to work with any type of hair. Save yourself from what happened to me. I debated leaving a review but I think its only fair someone else can benefit from my mistakes of choosing a place like this for something else than a haircut. I hope they do better and if they don’t think they can work on certain type of hair, don’t promise your client just to ruin their hair

Was there getting a perm by Yong because one of the reviews says he’s really good at it. It was all fine the curls came out beautifully but when we discussed the price he said it was included the hair cut. when he finished my perms I was asking him to cut my bangs plus some split ends he said no, he said something like “ this is already looks good you don’t need haircut “ and still charged me the same price include the hair cut.

Great haircut as always! Very consistent high quality hair cuts. Men haircuts are 35$ and they are worth every penny. I’ll be coming back until I move

Beware!! Keep receipts and write how much tip the dresser deserves. I was about to let this slide, but after I saw how much they lack honesty, I changed my mind. They have no INTERGRITY whatsoever! They decided to change the tip to 35% tip. She clearly did not deserve this and who in the world will tip this much for a haircut actually a trim. Especially when the stylist doesn't know what she's doing or just simply doesn't care. I was nice enough to tip a 15 percent of 45. On top of all this, she did a horrible job at delivering the product.
