I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and ignore the reviews. The doctor there is rude, could care less about your concerns/worries, judges you for taking medication that other doctors have prescribed, looks down on mental health issues, and the list goes on. Would not recommend coming here and if you do, ask for one of the registered nurses, not the doctor. What a shame and a waste of my time and money. The visit completely drained me. He shrugged everything I talked about as if I was overreacting and treated me like a hypochondriac.

Worst office I have ever dealt with. They consistently forgot to submit my prior authorization 4 times. Even when their pharmacy filled it out for them and gave them all they need, they still forgot to submit it. I keep having to chase them down to do their job. I can’t do my job, be the patient, and do their job.

Backstory, I currently live in Chicago and I've been in Atlanta for some time helping my family. I needed to see a doctor but with out of state insurance I wanted to make sure I found a provider in my network. After entering my information on ZocDoc (a website I use frequently to book appointments) I found two providers in my network, one being Dr. Chang Soo Kim. I gravitated to his profile bc I appreciated that this is a family practice. I scheduled my appointment, filled out all the prerequisite paperwork and prepared for my visit. This facility is approximately 1hr away from where I reside, my appointment was at 3:15pm so I knew it would be an all day thing bc of the commute back and forth (5:00pm Atlanta traffic is no joke). Which, for quality service (based off previous reviews) I didn't mind. When I finally arrived to the facility I was greeted by a young woman who asked for my id and insurance card, I expressed to her I uploaded all of my information on ZocDoc while simultaneously giving her both items. She stated that she saw my file on ZocDoc and I would need to fill out new patient paperwork (this was expected). After filling out the paperwork I asked if I would have a copayment she then proceeded to say that she needed to double check my insurance. (Keep in mind, it is the doctors duty to provide ZocDoc with a list of insurance carriers they accept so ZocDoc can make the scheduling process seamless for clients using their platform). So when she said this I was confused bc according to Dr. Chang Soo Kim's list of accepted insurance carriers he accepts my provider and is in my network. I waited for about 10 min. then another woman called my name. She explained that they do not accept my insurance but I could pay out of pocket. I proceeded to ask "what is the out of pocket cost?" She then stated, "$35.00". I said, "ok, no worries" and proceeded to pay the amount requested (I did drive an hour so it only made sense that I see the doctor). After paying I sat down in the waiting room and watched patient after patient come and go, only for my name not to be called. I found this odd being that my original appointment was for 3:15pm and now it was 4:00pm. So, I went back to the desk and asked the young woman what time will I be able to see the doctor (keep in mind I paid money). She had a bemused look on her face and said I should see him shortly. Quickly after, the woman who initially took my payment came out and stated, "you're still here, I thought you left. We don't take your insurance and you would need to pay for the visit". Imagine my confusion bc 1. It's a small, open floor plan with a glass partition and I'm the only black girl seated in front of the partition in a waiting room with about 4 other people who were of Asian, descent. 2. I paid this lady less than 40 mins ago! So, instead of becoming irate I contacted ZocDoc and disputed the charge bc this family practice took my money, watched my wait for 40 mins and canceled my appointment. No services were rendered but I was coerced into paying money to a facility that is misleading and racially profiling individuals. I'm not typically one to leave a negative comment but there was absolutely no remorse or real explanation to why I was charged. I recommend that you choose this practice at your own risk if you're not of an Asian descent and speak their language.

Called the hospital for appt due to having cold symptoms - mild fever, coughing, runny nose. The receptionist said let’s do teledoc instead. I asked for the reason and she said “uh…. Because we have lots of old patients and we don’t want to get them sick.” Technically isn’t hospital for patient who’s sick come and check? What kind of hospital refuse patient to come because they are worried that other patients will get sick? Are they getting old patient ONLY? So I asked “So with this throat swelling, they are not going to check in person?”. Receptionist then immediately change her tone and start to give me attitude. She said Doc will ask for me to come if necessary. So do I need to come twice and pay twice? How will doctor be able to tell my throat condition without seeing me? Then she imparts asked “so you want the appt or not?” This hospital pick which patient they WANT to take care and only the easy/safe patient. And the review is right the receptionists at the front desk is stubborn, rude, unable to explain right reasoning, and very unprofessional. Ridiculous

I'd previously worked in a medical clinic, so I usually do not leave any negative comments with them because I know it could be such an intense environment every day.HOWEVER, this clinic does not worth any stars at all. It was a great experience with NPs at the clinic, but front desk ladies - OMG! As you see in the other comments, they were unintelligent and stubborn staff and did not know what they were saying. They were also making argumentative conversations with patients via phone. They are not adequately trained to assist the patients. I do not recommend this clinic, and do not waste your time here.

I recently visited this clinic for my annual check-up, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped in, the entire staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and genuine kindness. I was particularly impressed by Dr. Kim, who meticulously reviewed my medical records and took the time to provide thorough and friendly responses to all of my questions. One aspect that truly stood out was the smooth and efficient process of drawing my blood. As someone with relatively thin blood vessels, I have faced difficulties during blood collection in other healthcare settings. However, at this clinic, the skilled staff managed to collect my blood with ease and accuracy in a single attempt. This not only impressed me but also left me genuinely pleased with the overall service provided.I sincerely regret not having discovered this clinic sooner. The exceptional care, attention to detail, and friendly atmosphere have undoubtedly made a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking top-notch medical services.

Horrible Dr!!! If you value your life, go somewhere else. I made an appt here to get checked out for an infection in my jaw, and this "doctor" refused to look at the wound in my mouth, laughed at me, and told me I was dumb for thinking it was anything other than trigeminal neuralgia and I needed to go back to see my neurologist again. I basically had to get into an argument with him because I had previously had blood work done and the blood work showed a very clear high white blood cell count. Which is evidence of infection. So he was angry and laughing at me and said "okay whatever it's not an infection but I'll give you a prescription for amoxicillin if you really want it" but when he called it in ,it wouldn't be ready for 2 days. Within 3 days, I was having seizures. I am currently writing this from my room at the hospital where I am on IV antibiotics. I've been here for 4 days. Still not sure if the infection has spread to my brain or not. But if you value your life AT ALL, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

They really have unintelligent and stubborn staff without knowing proper way of communication. They won’t listen to you and do not have sensitivity when they speak about your medical condition. I have a few incidents. Don’t go there.

Horrible, I made an appointment 3 times and each time I was told I did not have an appointment. The 3rd time I even had a auto text message reminding me of my appointment, I tried to show the front desk and she denied taking a look at my phone. The workers can hardly speak English. I am appalled. I was the only one of my kind in there and I definitely felt some type of way if you know what I mean. I feel as if I was Denied dud to me ethnicity. Please do not waste your time here.

Wish I could give negative stars. Called to receive treatment for my extreme Covid symptoms and was told I'd receive cough syrup with codeine in it as my cough is very very painful my throat is extremely sore and I'm coughing up blood. Then I call the pharmacy and find out that she has switched my prescription to some more mild cough syrup with no codeine and without telling me and the pharmacy doesn't have it in stock. When I called back to try and get an answer the doctor refused to talk to me or change her mind. then given no alternative I asked them to forward the prescription to another pharmacy across the street which I just called and found out that they were never notified so now I have no medication to treat these extreme symptoms of my sore throat/Covid-19. This is besides the fact that the receptionist was extremely rude to me the entire time on the phone. hope this place goes out of business. thanks for nothing.

Foremost, I do not go to a doctor for bedside manner, chitchat, not affirmation of my self-diagnosis. This doctor admittedly is not real personal in presentation. He checks you out, asks pertinent questions, diagnoses or refers. Then he moves on to the next patient. I guess that's his personality? But he gets the job done. If you listen to him, follow his advice, then you have been served well. Why do you need a warm and fuzzy doctor? Now, and I think this is the best part of AG Family Medicine as I discern, the Physician's Assistant makes the visit most worthwhile. She listens, is thorough and personable. She makes sense, has time for you. I think the doctor knows his limitations, and is most wise to employ her to complete the experience for us. She is great. And together they are a most adequate team. Thank you AG Family Medicine, and keep up the good work.
