One of my favorite places to stop in and eat. Their breakfast is just put of this world. The 2 ladies and gentlemen that do the breakfast are amazing. They make it worth your visit along with the breakfast. Prices are outstanding as well.

This Friendly Gus / Chevron Gas Station is located off Travel Center Blvd but it has a Pine Hill address. It's right next to the Longhorns, Zaxby's, Cracker Barrel and Welcome Center. There's another Yelp listing for a Friendly Gus - Chevron about one exit down and I think people may be inadvertently reviewing that one. Because I shudder to think that they have the same crappy employees at both locations. So I created this listing. The employees used to be friendly and the 'deli' food used to be cheap but good - though extremely salty. Fried chicken, pork chops, catfish, etc with the 'potato logs' I remembered from the local IGA grocery store of my childhood. Now the food is overpriced, overcooked and downright abysmal. The employees are 'ghetto' and surly. The young lady with the unfortunate ponytail actually snapped at me and it took every bit of my willpower not to invite her into the parking lot for a 'discussion.' I'll NEVER stop there again and quite frankly - I don't understand how they stay in business with there being so many other options for food and gas on the I-16 Dublin / McRae exit (Exit 51). I implore you - AVOID this place at all costs!

Surprisingly REALLY clean. Most convenience stores and gas stations I visit are a bit on the dirty side so this surprised me. The staff was nice and respectful. And those chicken tenders- enough for making me want to go back and try it all:)

My friends & I stopped by to fill up with gas while traveling home from Hilton Head. We had not planned on getting any food but the smell of delicious chicken, pork chops, potatoes changed our minds. The chicken & potatoes tasted as good as it smelled. The prices were reasonable and the staff friendly. The restrooms were also very clean. We will definitely stop here again when traveling through Georgia.

I've grew up in the area and returned after adventures in the world for school and for my husband's work and I've got to say that it's great to have a Friendly Gus around the corner again. If you're traveling up I16 in the morning it's a great place to stop for a quick breakfast that, while by no means a healthy one, is far better than a sad, impersonal sandwich from McD's. And the coffee, poured yourself from a pot, is always fresh and great. The Ladies there are always the highlight of my morning and the one gentleman I've seen working there always knows what's best that day in the hot deli?.I think there is another gentleman who works there too, I've seen him only once but, I know he's not going to be anything other that top notch in customer service if he's got co-workers like these?.

I was delightfully surprised that there was another truck stop next to that terribly tiny Loves in Dublin Georgia.. Friendly Gus had plenty of Room, and delicious chicken tenders and gizzards! The bathrooms are super clean and the people are really nice! ☆☆☆☆☆
