One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. No courtesy greeting, no eye contact, apathetic demeanor, and dismissive attitude. Where has good customer service gone?
We brought four window blinds to the Douglas GA UPS Store (45 minutes from my home) for return shipping, with two labels provided by the vendor—meaning two blinds needed to be paired together per package. I handed the labels, packing slips, and blinds to the female associate and politely asked her to please ensure the blinds were correctly paired by size to the correct label. Without making eye contact or checking the labels, she said “yeah” and began taping. I left the store unsure they had been correctly matched.
After reviewing the packing slips later that day, I realized they were paired incorrectly and returned to the store. I informed the associate of the mistake—no apology, no concern, just an annoyed look. A male employee (possibly a manager) jumped in to incorrectly claim that the labels didn’t show how to pair the blinds. I calmly explained that each label was accompanied by a packing slip that clearly did indicate the correct pairings. I had also asked the associate before leaving to double-check, but was brushed off.
Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional from the start. I was polite and respectful, but I felt like a bother rather than a customer.
To be fair, they did suggest that we reach out to the vendor for separate labels, but since the blinds were shipped to us lightly taped together, we opted to do the same—making sure the packages were securely taped to the point of overkill. Sadly, only two of the four blinds made it back to the vendor. While I’m not blaming the store for the lost packages, it’s hard not to question whether the packages were tampered with by the disgruntled employees given how annoyed they were with me for returning and requesting my packages be labeled correctly, and given the fact that they were taped up tighter than Fort Knox.
The real issue here isn’t the lost items—it’s the dismissive, careless customer service. I expected more from UPS. I sincerely hope I never have to return to this location again.
And yes—my name is Karen. Go ahead, roll your eyes. But this wasn’t some over-the-top, entitled tirade about soy milk or expired coupons. This was a simple request to match labels to the right packages and treat a customer with basic respect. If being disappointed by apathy, incompetence, and zero accountability makes me “a Karen,” then hand me the nametag—because someone needs to say it when customer service has truly left the building.

The gentleman who helped me was incredibly smart and friendly. He made me feel that my package was in good hands and made the whole process effortless. They are the only UPS store in my town, and every time I go, it’s a breeze — I walk in and walk right back out.

Will lose your package. Very incompetent workers. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to the shipping store near Taylors.

It is a Thursday at 6:15 PM. I go to the UPS store in Douglas Georgia to get a document printed that I need to take with me to the airport tomorrow morning. The doors were locked and I was told they were closed so I called the store and told them you don’t close until 630. I need a document printed And she said that they were busy putting up things and that they have to have time to count down their registers, I told her that I have been in the business serving customers for many many years and you don’t lock the doors until it’s time to close and I was told that people have their own opinions. They’re lucky I gave them one star.

Great experience in Blackshear but sad to know that it's closed Friday will only be like a warehouse and Waycross will have to go to Douglas or Brunswick if you need it notarized and copied and immediately sent .So we had to drive from Waycross to Douglas to get copies of paperwork, that was notarized and sent off immediately.... So very inconvenient making a OOT trip to use those services at UPS🥺

I received a package from the Ups. went on a Friday to send back the package that I refused and was told by the employees to come back on Monday when the manager is available because it was from the ?? UK . I went on monday and told them i "refuse" the package and send it back to sender. Today is Tuesday. I get home the same package at my door. I have never seen such a thing. Now it looks like I have to call Corporate. This is ridiculous.

the delivery guy who comes to pearson doesn't want to get off the bus anymore he doesn't want to leave my packages ? at home he just leaves a note and I have to go pick it up at the office lousy service for that I'm paying for shipping they don't bring it to me for free so I suggest you Change it because if that's the case, I'd better not order anything online again, lousy service ????
