Heartbroken and disappointed, I have been taking my cars to this shop for years. Mr .John was so trustworthy and I knew he wasn’t taking advantage of me because I am a woman. The new owner/ son cares nothing about customer satisfaction and took advantage of me because I am a female. The father legacy has been tarnished.

Used John (now his son Garrett) since 1995. They know cars and will keep cars on the road for you so you don't have to lease or buy new cars. Honest, trustworthy and reliable. If it's out of their wheelhouse they'll tell you, and refer you out (transmission, head-jobs, etc).Services: General repairs & maintenance

I have had my cars serviced at Pleasantdale Garage multiple times, including some major things like changing the clutch, alternator replacement, and changing out the radiator, and even some smaller jobs. Garrett is honest, quick, and on point with his repairs. The prices are fair and the quality of the work is excellent. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a great mechanic.

John, the owner, has since retired. But his son, Garrett, now runs the place and is as good as John was. Garrett worked with his father for many years before John retired. I started taking my cars to P.G. sometime in the '80s and they have never disappointed. Even quoted me a price for a new transmission (which he sends out) and when the car came back, he said it wasn't as expensive as he had thought and took about $1000 off the initial quote. Still sending friends to Garrett and never have had a complaint.

On my 2001 Nissan Altima (a mere 95K miles) I thought I needed a power steering pump since I spotted a leak on the garage floor and was thinking to spend many hundreds mostly for labor since it is a pain to replace. John diagnosed the real problem as an afflicted O-Ring on one of the connections and fixed it for much less than I expected to spend when I brought it in. As usual with John they are fair and honest in their dealings as they have been for years.
