I have always had great customer service with A-1. The thing is to have your correct paperwork. That are wholesaler to brick and mortar beauty supply stores. They have a clean store that is very organized. I ship quickly and have a great working knowledge of the products and items they carry.

Professional and efficient service. This is a wholesale so you need to have a business license to shop and there’s a minimum amount. Not that hard to understand and follow their policy.

My husband and I walked in and was met by Ms. Judy with greetings. We told her that we wanted to establish an account with them. She asked for my retail sales certificate. Most stores want that plus STORE business license (not your salon business license), and tax I.D. number. I gave her those items and we set the account and started shopping. The minimum was $200.00 for the first order. They had great items that I needed so I was well over the minimum. We had a great conversation at the register. She expressed how she was treated bad because customers didnt have the right credentials to shop there. As a beauty supply owner I don't want my customers shopping there because then I wouldn't have customers just as a stylist I don't want my customers to go to Cosmo Prof to get my discounted items. I left the store but returned later that evening to get everything that I needed because I drove from VA. I met the owner who was so nice and he packed our car. Everything didnt fit so we were going to ship but Ms. Judy took the bags and boxed it and shipped it to me in VA!! THATS HOW YOU ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIPS AND DO BUSINESS!! GET YOUR CREDENTIALS IN ORDER!

I've been doing business with this family owned business for 12 years. They have everything I need for my customers and if they don't they'll fine a way to get it if available. I see that there have been mixed interactions with the staff and I witnessed new customers come in and disrespect the store. With any wholesale establishment you MUST have the proper documentation in order to open an account. When people are told that they can't shop or open an account individuals become agitated. As a black man or a human being we must have GRACE with our own kind and those that we are different than. CALL THEM AND ASK THEM WHAT IS NEEDED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT OR UPON YOUR 1ST VISTIS ASK THEM WHAT IT NEEDED TO START ONE. ALSO THERE IS A MINIMUM FOR YOUR 1ST PURCHASE SO ASK ABOUT THAT AS WELL. I AM A CUSTOMER JUST LIKE YOU AND I HAVE NO AFFILIATION EXCEPT FOR BEING A CUSTOMER. I also am not a BOT GOOGLE ME I'M REAL...???♂️

I have read several negative comments about this company. We have been doing business with them for almost 20 years.I knew the original owners( they’re are deceased) and they have always treated me good . They were one of the first companies to give me credit. You have to understand when dealing with Korean people English is not their first language so sometimes it may come off as they’re been rude but usually it’s just the communication is sometimes a little different for them but we automatically think it’s about race. Money is green so I don’t think it’s always about race. I can’t say this for all them but I can definitely say it’s not about race with this company. The lady Judy will help you as much as she can , the owner Andrews is a very humble and patient. Just make sure you got your paperwork together and you shouldn’t have any problems. I have been in there several times and people come in with beauty salon license and get upset when they tell them they can’t take them and the first thing that comes out their mouth is “YALL RACIST” we as African Americans need to stop always using that as a defense. Like I said have your paperwork business license and tax papers and minimum payment and you shouldn’t have any problems. This company has treated me like family for almost 20 years and yes I’m African American!!!!

I should have read the reviews before I visited this establishment. Upon arrival, we were meet by an extremely rude and condescending woman. We will not return, and I would not recommend shopping here.

Owner does not wants Black people business. Myself and another black person was in the store we had our business and retail licenses and she still did not want us to shop with her store. Dam you don't want our money so we went to another store and purchased 2,400.00 worth of supplies. Don't spend your money here she don't want black people money.

I went into the store November 12 to open an account with my business license and state retail license and was told I couldn't open an account. I am Black and there was another black person behind me with the same information and he was refused also. They don't want black business, she was ruled and disrespectful to us. See looked down on us like we were beneath her. We went to another business that wanted our business they were very professional, fast and loaded my truck with all my supplies. Black people Don't give A1 your business they don't want it anyway.
