My daughter is in the prek program. There is a weekly meal fee of $30 that I have set on auto pay. The school's system failed to draft my payment and they charged me a 100% late fee. I sent definitive evidence that, from my end, auto pay was enabled, but they refused to reverse the charge. It may be a relatively small amount of money, but I do not recommend anyone deal with a daycare that is so careless about overcharging and unwilling to make things right. I explicitly stated that I did not authorize payment of the late fee, but the system applied payments regardless. Interesting how it can autopay late fees.

I love sunshine house. I feel very safe dropping my daughter off here. I was so hesitant to put her in daycare initially but now I have the slightest worries. I love all of her teachers and the staff that keep the daycare running

My son has been attending the Sunshine House since he was 6months. He advanced in so many things. I love how they greet and as well as send him off. They show so much love from the front office to all the staff.

Sunshine House center 63 is a great school! My son has been attending since he was 2 years old and he has grown so much. Before starting I had concerns about his language development and his teachers reassured me he will be just fine. They worked so well with him and the office staff is always a pleasure. I have recommended them to family members and friends.

My daughter started at the Sunshine House shortly after turning 2 years old. This was her first place from being cared for at home and the teachers, staff and center director made the transition so smooth. Her development skyrocketed after beginning the curriculum. Everyone is so caring with the children and gives parents comfort they are being left in good hands! The pricing is also quite affordable in comparison to other centers in the area. My daughter is now about to turn 4 and she loves coming to the Sunshine House to interact with friends and learn from teachers. I always recommend them to other parents searching for a great childcare program!

My 8 month old son has just joined Sunshine House in the past few weeks and we are thrilled with everything about the Center. The induction process was very thorough and attentive. Ms Pam, the Manager is excellent at making your child (and you!) feel very welcome and comfortable. The communication is good too. As a parent, it’s obviously nerve wracking to leave your baby but they encourage you to call whenever you want and check on your little one and provide an info sheet with all the details of your baby’s day. His teachers are so caring and really love the children. We have settled in really well and our baby boy is already loving his new daycare. I can’t recommend highly enough!

We can’t say enough nice things about the Sunshine House. We’ve had our son at Sunshine House for almost 2 years and he loves it. We’ve have wonderful teachers in both the infant and toddler rooms. Ms. Pam is always kind and welcoming.

We've had a wonderful experience with the Decatur Sunshine House location! We sent both of our boys beginning when they were infants. We've loved their teachers and all of the staff, and are always happy to recommend them to others. We didn't really know what to expect with a daycare when we first began our search, so we focused on a few details that meant the most to us. First, we needed to trust the caregivers since they watch over our precious children, and we feel very comfortable with the staff to care for our kids as well as meet all of their needs. We also feel that our guys are getting a lot of great instruction, and we appreciate the teachers helping them to learn and develop. Next, we need our boys to like who watches over them, and we know that they do as evidenced by their smiles and laughter. Third, we need a convenient location, and since we work and live within a few miles of this location this absolutely meets our needs. Fourth, while we don't *have* to like the teachers, we'd prefer to - and we love them. All of the staff are very personable and considerate. They've learned both of my boy's names and have always greeted them warmly. And finally, daycare is expensive (we learned that the hard way), but we've found the Sunshine House to be more affordable than many locations in the area which definitely helps. So, if you're looking for daycare in the Decatur area consider the Sunshine House. We've had a wonderful experience there and and hope you will, too.

We currently have a 10 month old at Sunshine House who has been at the school for 7 months. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Her teachers truly, authentically love her. We see it in the way they care for her, talk to her, and inform of us her activities and well being. In addition, she has only been sick ONCE ever since attending the school, which I believe is a testament to their commitment to cleanliness and sanitization. Our daughter loves being there. She loves and recognizes her teachers and lights up when she sees them. Between the NAEYC accreditation, cost (which is much lower than other quality schools in the area), we will certainly be staying with Sunshine House. In response to a previous comment related to the waiting list, I personally had no problems getting on the waiting list and was added immediately upon attending an open house. We were notified as soon as Miss Pam, the director, had information that she could admit us. The waiting list process (and wait time of several months) was very on par with other schools in terms of wait time and notification. At least that was our experience!

All 3 of my children have gone to this location from 12 weeks through PK-4 yrs old. Maria (the Center Director), and all of the teachers are wonderful, professional, and caring. My children have thrived here, and I would highly recommend the Sunshine House to prospective families.

I went to this daycare to inquire whether or not they were accepting new students and what the tuition cost was. To say the least, Pam Hawkins was not friendly at all. She explained that they weren’t accepting any kids at the moment, but asked if I wanted to be placed on their waiting list, so I replied “yes.” She gave me a form to fill out and asked how soon was I looking to place my child in her daycare, and I replied “as soon as possible.” Her response was “Well, it won’t be any time soon.” She then walked off to her office to talk on the phone. After I finished filling out the form, I waved and said thank you through her window while she sat there and just watched me leave. 1) Pam’s demeanor wasn’t friendly or inviting at all. 2) I could hear a baby crying but I didn’t see anyone through the window where the infants were to attend to that child (there was graduation going on for the preschoolers so maybe the teacher stepped out for a second). Anyways, I won’t be paying $260wk for my infant to be taken care of by a rude, unfriendly individual.

Thought I would take a moment to leave a review. Our daughter has been enrolled at the Sunshine House since she was six weeks old and we have been happy with the education and experiences that the teachers and staff provide for her. I think that the educational development program they have in place is a great foundation for small children and she comes home excited to show us what she can accomplish. Ms. Pam runs a tight ship and we appreciate that all of the teachers and caregivers go out of their way to care for our child and make sure she is safe and nurtured. Great experience so far.
