I can always trust that Dr Martin and her staff will take very good care of my little furry family member.

Incompetent. I noticed that there were weird surprise charges on my first bill from this vet for my new baby Nova but because she's so small I just wanted to make sure she had a clean bill of health. They also let me know they they left a message on my machine about my pets initial visit and even after I called back and asked for this information with the correct number it still took two visits for me to point out to them that they wrote it down wrong and left a message on someone's random machine. Thanks... I don't think my pet was honestly looked over at all. After going back for her second set of shots however, I noticed those charges again and was told that "the techs have to pay for their student loans." Nice. Also the tech made the mistake of letting me know that they charged me for a fecal test that they were not able to administer and that I would need to pay for this one as well as another upon my cats return essentially paying for the same fecal matter to be tested twice and me paying for it twice as well. After letting the tech know that was bogus, he continued to argue with me as if he didn't just let me know that the test was not performed yet I paid for it.... I'm pretty sure they knew the scam because as soon as I left I called for a refund and it was post haste! Please do not let these crooks scam you!

Taking care of my pets is paramount! Snapfinger Creek Animal Hospital is like none other! The care, love and compassion are what you'd come to expect and showing concern and compassion to the pet owner is comforting as well. Thank you so much for care for all of us!

Honestly if you care about your pet and care about fostering a good patient-doctor-owner/parent relationship with your vet, take your pet elsewhere. Out of convenience of location, my parents have unfortunately been taking our family pets to this vet for a number of years. My first experience where I felt this would not be a good experience is when I told my dad to ask the vet about the 3 year rabies shot as I had just gotten this done for my dog at the humane society. At the time they didn’t offer it because the vet felt patients wouldn’t come back if they got the 3 year vs the 1. This was over 10 years ago and has since change. More recently in the last year, I took our dog there for an allergy shots and pain meds for her arthritis. The appointment prior, she had a biopsy on a neck mass and I was never told the results. The vet said she called my mother and explained the results. Since I had paid to have it done I asked her to explain the results to me. She did while my dog was still inside. When my pet was brought back outside I was brought a new invoice with a $60 charge for a doctor exam (a less than 5 minute phone call) and they had increased the price on her pain meds saying the doctor stated she actually gained weight so they had to change the price. Somehow my dog gained weight while in the office for less than an hour. Most recently, in August/ongoing what happened is I brought my 12 year old in for possible uti/diabetes/bloodwork and I yet to get the results of her bloodwork. The communication with the office staff and the vet to pet owners is terrible. 1st, the don’t allow owners to go in with pets due to COVID. Understandable with Covid numbers increasing; however, they take forever to get your animal and forever to bring them out. When I brought my dog in August it was the week it was 90-100 degrees everyday. The vet does not have the decency to call you on the phone and speak to you. I was sitting in the parking lot when I got a voicemail notification about my dogs visit. If you aren’t allowing owners/family in with the pet, you could at least have the decency to call and talk to the person waiting outside in 100 degree weather to pick up the animal. With our dog having accidents and drinking more water, we expressed a concern for diabetes and she supposedly had bloodwork done. I have called and emailed and haven’t gotten a response about her bloodwork. The tech I talked to said the doctor emailed us the results and when I was finally able to get into my dad’s email I saw the pdf that was sent did not include the blood test results. I contacted the clinic again after this and have yet to get a response. Honestly, if you love your pet, take them to a vet who isn’t just money hungry with piss poor bedside manner. It is worth the drive to take your pet elsewhere. It is impossible to actually talk to the vet, which is ridiculous considering pets don’t bring in income and can’t pay the exuberant fees this vet charges (look at the other reviews about how overpriced she is). Luckily our dog is not due for any further shots until January, so I have time to find her another vet. But I will likely need to find one sooner to do the bloodwork that evidently was never performed by Dr Martin.

The staff is very friendly and informative. They don't force any treatment for you pets, and they work in a timely manner. I will always recommend this animal hospital.

We have been coming to Snapfinger Creek Animal Hospital for a few years now, ever since we moved into the area. They know our dogs very well, and the service is always 5 stars for us! Anytime we need to travel, the dogs get to stay here for the weekend, and they love It! They always make sure that their medical needs are up to date, and we love to see how excited our dogs get when they KNOW they are coming to one of their favorite places.

They are good about giving an appointment but to expensive. I brought my dog in because he was itching near his bottom really bad. My dog came there with a bite on his tail and hind area and all they wanted to do was offer a 300 allergy shot and run an expensive allergy test on my dog.I paid close to 70$ for a visit for nothing.I don't think they checked my dog for bugs or removed one or even tried offering something cheaper that would be topical. I think they money hungry there. I refused the high price services and I actually treated my dog with some topical ointment and he is doing fine. Hell I could be a veterinarian.

I wanted to schedule an appointment to have my dog neutered (which was recommended). I was there May 2023 for a new visit (rehomed dog) and blood work, microchip, exam etc. was completed during that visit that cost me $600. I'm disappointed that they would require me to pay for updated bloodwork for my dog when it was done less 90 days ago. I now have a new provider.

Went there for Pyometra surgery, mainly because they're close. The service was cool, staff seems to be very knowledgeable. However, they are a very money hungry group of people. Dr. Martin, literally refuses to provide a proper prescription so I can purchase the necessary meds (antibiotics and pain killers) elsewhere. She only wants you to purchase from them. She prescribed my dog Clavamox, which they charge $60 for. I found the same brand on Chewy for $1.25 . Chewy and other pharmacies have to get approval from the vet before sending the meds and Dr. Martin refuses to approve the meds. This is a very money hungry tactic. This is what happens when you try to support local business in your community. My suggestion is to not go here. EVER. I get it we want to support black owned businesses. I do too. This isn’t the one. Also, notice how they respond to good reviews but failed to acknowledge this one. I dare y’all to challenge this post and say I’m wrong.

From the first visit when Honcho was a couple of months old, this business has been a BLESSING!! I found them via Google search. It was God that led me to them. Honcho is a VERY anxious baby. They know how to handle him!! Whenever I call with questions, they are so thorough and patient. They have actually called to check on Honcho when he was ill. Love this team!
