When we lived in GA, many moons ago -- we weren't plant-based then, but did eat healthy and organic when we could, and shopped often at various farmers' markets when they'd pop-up in various towns -- we discovered DeKalb Farmers Market in Decatur. We loved it, and went often. (There was no Yelp! back then.) Anyway, I've always considered it as one of the great international markets I've been to around the world (from Barcelona to Melbourne, to Vietnam; even to San Francisco and Los Angeles). Well, over a dozen years later, we returned: It was like we'd been there last week!!! :D The place hasn't changed! Massive and loaded with all sorts of meats, seafood, vegetables, breads, cheeses, milk, and everything else that this international market was and is all about! The only major change is that the old food court apparently didn't make it through the COVID pandemic; it was simply an empty kitchen space. :( (And we were SOOOOO hungry!!!) :P That said, the entire place is a cornucopia of food delights!!! Despite the demise of the food court, Your DeKalb Farmers Market is still the best in GA, hands-down...!!! :D

From A to Z you want it, they've got it. This is a TRUE INTERNATIONAL gem of a farmers market. Clean, Well organized and the customer service is TOP NOTCH. FRESH, flowers, fish, meat, veggies, cheese etc etc. it's gets crowed but it worth it I go 1x a month. Here's a few shopping tips that gets me in and out within an hour. 1. Arrive at 8:45 am. Grab a cart and stand on the line doors open right on time at 9am SHARP. 2. Grab your cup of coffee so you can sip and shop. Grab a handful of bags to put your fruit and produce... 3. Start at the veggies and go up and down each aisle you never know what you will find. You never get exactly what you went there for 4. After the veggies, hit the canned and bottled goods, beans, crackers snacks on the healthier side. 5. Then off to the meats, then fish, then the baked goods. Yea in this order because you're getting ready to head out soon. 6. Get your cupcakes, slice of cake to enjoy on the ride back home. 7. Head to the register 8. Don't forget where you parked your car! *** there are a few other areas, the drag ground coffee, flowers, chocolates, wine and packaged food. I don't typically go to those areas. Happy shopping

Everything you could ever need for anything. Even the most exotic recipes are cookable if you can shop this place because you'll always find every ingredient.

No one sells chicken breast on the bone u less you buy the whole chicken. They do here. Dropped in for some nice meats, turkey for weekday lunch sandwiches, hummus made with olive oil, cheese and fruit. See you next time...

Took a trip down to Atlanta during the week between Christmas and New Years and THIS was my one "must see" destination. Luckily my cousin is just as much (if not more) of a fan of this type of market as I am. I wasn't sure WHAT to expect, was thinking it might be more of a "fancy-pants/tourist trap" kind of market, but boy way I wrong!!! I would weirdly be content to wander the lushly stocked produces aisles, the floor to ceiling "shelves of mystery," and imagine myself in some VERY far off LANDS, where everything, even a package of rice, tea, dried fruit, spices... ALWAYS seems MUCH more exotic!! I planned 1,001 meals in my head, wandering through each and every aisle, and WISHED I wasn't flying home so I'd be able to fill my cart with all sorts of exotic TREATS I'd never find here in my corner of Ohioooooooooo!! What a wonderful resource for this community, both newcomers and long-time residents alike!! Fresh meat and fish, rows and rows of fresh bread, tempting pastries, prepared meals, gorgeous produce and so much more!! You'll ALMOST feel like you need a passport just to shop here... What a WONDERFUL place!! Don't MISS it, if you're in the area!!

I've been going to the DeKalb farmers market for over 20 years. I am sad to say that it is merely a shadow of what it used to be. You cannot be sure that the price that is listed is what will be charged at the cash register. Prices have gone up astronomically, and the service has gotten really indifferent. The women who work in the checkout section are lovely as always, but, many of the male employees are very rude. There are other options available such as the City Farmers Market on Buford Highway.

Best grocery store in Atlanta. Their dairy and meat selection alone is worth the drive but also their extensive spice selection is unmatched. This all comes at a rock bottom prices verse literally every other grocery except maybe Aldi. You want exotic fruits, European cheeses, fresh cut and cured meats, seasonal veggies? YDFM has got you.

Dekalb Farmers Market, outside of Atlanta, GA. Food: This is a serious farmers market offering everything from fresh meats and poultry, fresh vegetables along with pastries, beer, wine and seafood. Service: vendors were friendly and very helpful, they were patient as we hand picked your meats and offered good suggestions. Ambiance: This place is huge, there is plenty of parking however can still be crowded. Be patient as the walk ways can get congested. Checkout is well identified and organized which makes several buggies crashes not seem so bad.

What can I say...if you need it, they have it. If they don't have it, it doesn't exist. The fresh produce, spices, coffee, and meat/fish cannot be beaten! Also, their prepared foods section has some real standouts. The place is huge and can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get over that hurdle, it's on like donkey Kong
