I visited this location in September when I needed new eye glasses. I was very impressed by the doctor and the rest of the staff. They were all very helpful in helping me choose the correct frames for my face and helping me to use all of the benefits my eye insurance provided. Janay, the office manager has been very helpful in helping me with the adjustments needed to my frames to ensure a proper fit. I received my glasses just as promised in 10 business days and am very happy with them. They have a great selection of frames and I will definitely return as needed. I will continue to recommend this location and staff to my friends and family.

Glad this office is doing so well that it can cancel someone's appointment after they take off work and arrive on time. No, I don't want to reschedule for another day, I want you to honor the appointment. If that's how they want to treat patients, there are many other options.

I went once last year and my appointment was at 1:30 and got there by 1:40. When I got there they said the doctor had already left for the day. Sent a email to Gregory rogers which was management but no response. Today I tried again and made a Saturday appointment for a 1:40. Got there on time and filled out paperwork. By 1:25 I was still not called so I left… and there were people ahead of me. Tried to support. Never going back. They could have called and said they were behind and I needed to reschedule. It was cold and rainy and I left my house for no reason.. wasting gas in this economy. Smh

Dr. Birdsong is great. I have full confidence in her work. We got charged $44 for an annual eye exam that should be free with our insurance. Always is. The explanation was that they are no longer dilating and instead using a new machine to image the retina. That is great, but the unexpected $44 for a free annual exam is not.

My experience at this location has been terrible in all but one area. The doctor is great - friendly and experienced. But the rest of the operation, from the manager to the employees to the lab are terrible.I had an eye exam in May 2023. It is now the end of October and I am still waiting on my glasses. They have had to remake the lenses 4 TIMES. Focal point was not in the right place 3 times! Then, the prescription was finally right but they made the lenses Transitions but I didn’t order Transitions. I have been waiting at least 2 months for the replacement lenses and haven’t received any communication. I emailed and left messages all this week. Finally, get someone on the phone today who tells me that the remake (to make the transitions lenses not transitions) had to be approved by the district manager. That approval was given but I still don’t have my lenses. She called the lab while I waited on hold. She returns and says the lab is closed. Period. No follow up to say “I’ll call them as soon as they open on Monday and follow up with you.” Nope. I had to ask for them to follow up with the lab and let me know when they will be available for pick up.I have been so patient. Not complained terribly. Been very understanding but this is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. There’s no follow up on my order. No accountability. I will never return to this location.

I had an appointment. Received text confirming appointment the day before. Arrive to said appointment, and the location is locked and closed during business hours. I understand emergencies can happen. The fact that I was not notified before, during or even after the missed appointment was so unprofessional. I was fortunate to get an appointment the same day at the Peachtree office.

I have had great experiences with this location. Dr. Birdsong was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Greg was very helpful and professional. Office Manager, Janay, in particular, has continuously provided excellent customer service. I took off a star because I had to wait longer than expected for my new contact lens (replacement order). Also, the receptionist could be a LOT friendlier. The office is located in beautiful downtown Decatur.

First, they NEVER answer the phone! I have been calling and calling to find out why I had my exam on 9/2 and my glasses aren't coming back until 9/30. I have gone to other Myeyedr locations and it only took them 7 days. (I only picked this one because it was closer to my home) Secondly, when picking out my frame I felt rushed and made to feel like I had to hurry up! The lady who helped me set at the front desk and just clicked what ever she wanted she didn’t ask me if I wanted all of the add ons or not. I just went alone with it because I was with my spouse and he hates when I make a big fuss. Lastly, I have NEVER EVER paid $224 for glasses when I have insurance...I'm double covered, and they wanted to charge $224 for each insurance...I took my prescription to another place and came out paying $90 for the same brand and extras that I got from them for my second pair...I will never return because clearly they are overpriced or over charging. The two stars are for me being 10 mins late and they still saw me! And please don’t respond to this review without a phone call!

Waited an hour and a half after my appointment time and finally had to leave. Front desk person said this is typical of Wednesdays at this location. Office is dingy and musty.

My husband took my son here for a simple exam. Should have been $10 for a copay, they charged $54 without requesting any authorization for the additional charges or any additional testing, of which there is no explanation of what it was for or what the result was. Do not book online for here, the site is terrible and once you book there is no option to cancel. Availability to discuss a complex issue (billing or otherwise) is impossible because they never answer their phone.TLDR: customer fleecing, poor service.

Ah Craig saved the day! The screw popped out of my glasses, the place I got them had closed, and I’m useless without them. He fixed them in minutes. Definitely my new place for eye stuff!

Staff were nice, but frame selection was limited. Also, the optometrist was a bit outdated, very preachy, and kept complaining about “bureaucracy” in having to complete the online chart. I’ve worn contacts for over 15 years and was told, “well, depending how things look, we may go a different route.” I got the contacts, but found the optometrist a bit rude…even curmudgeon. Everyone else was nice though.I recommend Ansley: much better selection, quicker exam, and super friendly… even the optometrist.

What a lovely store! I walked in ( no appointment) because my glasses (which I had bought on line) were "broken". Greg - who could not have been more kind and knowledgeable fixed my glasses and would not even accept payment. This is the kind of small business in Decatur that deserves community support. Fantastic customer service! I will be back!
