For my birthday on 4/4, all I wanted was to have a relaxing and fun creative moment. My BF and I booked a pottery class midday @ 1pm. Thanks for offering that on a random Thursday & not a slammed weekend. While our tour & class was conducted by Molly,- skilled artist/teacher of 10 yrs...there were club members creating pottery. Just doing their own thing. Some with headphones on. No one was loud or rude. Lots of convos & instructions going on, but not too distracting. Maybe only up @ the front desk, but they're friendly and trying to help ppl in front of them & on the phone. I'm very proud of my creations & would consider a membership. You book online & reserve your spot for $20 online. You pay in full on the end of the appointment. At the end of the process you pick colors (84 options). The process is to dry out the clay & put in the kiln twice. After about 4-6 weeks you get an email to pick up your items. I'd do it again, for sure!

The owners can be harsh if you do something that aggravates them. The teachers are good.

This place is so cool. Took their intro class and it was well organized and I learned a lot. Can't wait to pick up my pieces. Also fun to see all the pieces in the gallery that showcase the artists in the studio. Shout to Bloom in the City Ceramics! Super creative!

Molly and Lily were great. We received a tour of the facility & Lily explained what stages our pieces would go through before they were finished & ready for pick up. Overall, the class was fun. As first timers, we had a good time. They also have many colors to pick from which is nice!

I developed the love of pottery making as a hobby for my past time . Finally found this place where they have everything you need to learn and make your own crockery and kitchenware. Personalized names , designs and colors of my choice .Instructors are friendly and patient.Highly recommend to people in search of a place to start learning pottery making

I’ve been trying to venture out and try new hobbies and always wanted to take a pottery making class. I found Mudfire and another place but I’m so happy I chose this business. The environment inside was so nice, beautiful art work around the studio and the two instructors (Lily and Adriana) were both lovely. They have so many glazes to choose from and they’re there to assist as you work through your pieces. There’s also a gallery with pieces from the local artists who create there. Would totally recommend the beginners class/date night for anyone wanting to try. I went by myself and didn’t feel out of place as there were others who also came solo.I’ll definitely be back again to make something else to gift to a couple family members!

I took a class here a few days ago. I came in knowing it was a group class so expected to just get some basic techniques down as a first timer. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The instructor spent most of her time individually helping other class members who rushed ahead instead of telling them to stop so she could explain more steps as we went along. At one point, I actually had to eavesdrop on another instructor giving helpful tips to all her students since mine wasn’t. The time sitting there doing nothing was stressful since I knew we were wasting limited time and the time working was stressful because our working time was now cut short and also I didn’t know what I was doing and was given no direction. At this point, I’m honestly scared of how disappointed I’ll be once I receive the pieces back and that they’ll just remind me of a frustrating experience.

My first experience was going to the date night and I had a lot of fun making some basic pots and I don't remember my instructor's name but she was fantastic. It was so much fun I booked another class about few weeks later and had another great experience. Most recently I went again and worked with Molly who had a rude attitude and would often just walk away or check out while her class was struggling to make their pots. I had taken my dad who was inexperienced and was hoping he would get the same hands on instructions I got with the first two classes yet she was very passive and judgmental. This last experience ruined it for me and do not have plans to go again.

I recently had the pleasure of taking their beginner's pottery class, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful and enriching experience. From the moment I walked into the studio, I could sense the passion and expertise of the instructors. The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and encouraging. They created a warm and inviting atmosphere that fostered creativity. Whether you were a complete novice or had some experience with pottery, the class catered to all skill levels, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and supported. Their classes are very affordable and is great for a solo date like myself, date night, or just something fun to do with friends. I will update with a picture later, as it takes 4-6 weeks for them to finish the glazing.

I was excited about this place. Came in after work with a smile and a great attitude; however, the vibe was very unfriendly towards me. The girls were very unfriendly- the one doing new members tour did not even make eye contact with me. Very low vibrational, low energy. Only one other black person in there doing pottery (must be the token black person). I felt like I entered a KKK daughter of confederacy rally. Very out of place. I was too beautiful and too much of a goddess. Those women saw me as a threat and could not handle a beautiful black confident woman. .sad. It was a complete waste of my time and energy. They were so obviously ? jealous. This is Atlanta area. They should be used to seeing nice-looking black women. They were literally giving me dirty looks and rolling their eyes at me. I would not recommend this place at all.

Great class experience on Saturday morning! My wife mentioned wanting to go for some time and I finally got around to booking. Lily was the perfect instructor and I could tell that she has a passion for what she does. She was extremely helpful, patient, and kind. If you had a question about a step, she had no problem explaining it again. Would definitely attend another class. The pieces turned out great and the studio was clean despite the large amounts of decor. Def recommend for a date night or friend date. Step out your comfort zone and try something different.

Took a Date night class here with a friend and I had so much fun. The instructors are kind, helpful, funny and encouraging. As someone who had never worked with pottery before, I want to now join as a member after one class. Super worth the price and highly recommend!!!
