I can see how the other reviews are true! First i would like to say this center is dirty, it needs a really deep detailed cleaning , from the classrooms to the kitchen! Filthy floor baseboards walls and more! Workers seem like the directors friends. Say one thing , do another. Changing stations in front of windows. Toddlers are crying at drop off not wanting to go. Much room for improvement . Potential is there

MKS Learning Center is a fabulous place for children to learn and grow! I am very appreciative of the amazing job all the MKS team does to ensure that my children are safe, very well cared for, and feel home away from home.My youngest has been going to MKS since the age of 6 weeks and she is now 8 months and my 3 year old also attends their aftercare program and other programming when school is out of session. Both of my children LOVE being at MKS Learning Center! The Director of the center, Ms. Pinkney, and dedicated team truly prides themselves on ensuring the center is operable to the highest level of safety and cleanliness standards.I highly recommend MKS for parents seeking a wonderful, professional, safe, clean and quality center for their little ones.

Being a first time working mother, finding a daycare was extremely stressful to say the least! There was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders when I brought my 6 month old son to MKS Learning Center. The staff are all amazing. So friendly and caring! I would most definitely recommend this daycare. Tuition is more affordable than any other place I have come across as well.

Wow where do I began??! MKS learning Center has been a part of my family for my nieces and nephews I couldn’t have found any other place that was reasonable on price ! Clean facility! And did I mention about the food they have always came home, wanting more and more and more. It is very hard to find a school that actually gives real food in not processed food. I was extremely happy to …. The teachers are very sweet and the Director Mrs Freeman is very sweet never had an issue with her or any of the staff. When it came to needing help or any services that I may have needed, they have always came through. I recommend MKS learning center because it’s not a daycare that lets the kids run around and not learn they teach the kids and get them ready for the next level of their life. I am a living testimony because I have had three come from there, and they are doing terrific.

I have had multiple issues with the director and my two year old teacher I have told them multiple of times which is in the papers that they give you when you first enroll and i gave them a doctors note that my son is lactose intolerant and they still gave him regular milk which caused him to have diarrhea which caused them to call me from work twice to come and get him because he had diarrhea to be sent home they’re very unprofessional.

I have had multiple issues with MKS Learning Center. From dealing with the disrespectful and belittling director, Mrs. Freeman to having issues with the quality of staff for over a year. The staff are not all licensed or even certified, and it definitely shows with the quality of the business and how it runs. Majority of the "teachers" yell and speak in broken English to the children, they lack patience, and they definitely don't have a current curriculum to teach the older children. Their food is sub par and reheat days old meals. My child's teacher didn't have the patience to assist with potty training so put a pull up on my child instead of taking them to bathroom when asked. I complained multiple times of my child not being cleaned properly, as feces residue was left in the pull-up and underwear. There have been several incidents where the "teachers" didn't know what happened with my child during the day and left questions unanswered and speculations forming. There isn't any order and quite frankly, I don't think they care because they know the people in the area "need" a daycare. The director and her daughter, Ms. Rhonda, are extremely unprofessional and don't even give the parents decent courtesy by speaking to them. Ms. Freeman is a dictator and reigns over her employees like Hitler. They don't even hold their heads up and speak up when she's around. Once she walks away, they confess how horrible it is to work for her and her condescending daughter. She belittles not only the parents, but also her staff. I feel bad for them because many don't have the knowledge and skills to leave. It's either her way or the highway, even when witnesses and evidence prove otherwise. MKS hires staff who they know they can bully, because they need a job. They have no voice and no one's opinion is respected or heard. Not even the parents'. The staff look and sound like they came off the street because they can barely hold a decent conversation, let alone care for small children. Her infant teacher even gave a baby animal crackers and said, "Well i didn't know she couldn't eat that. How was i supposed to know?". They don't have proper training to work with infants and children and that stems from the Director. She is manipulative and degrading and I would recommend everyone i come in contact with to STAY AWAY from MKS Learning Center. Pay a little more and find a center that will love on your kids, teach your kids, and treat PAYING consumers with respect. Not everyone gets CAPS or subsidized childcare and not everyone is loud and ghetto. Find a place that cares and LISTENS to the parents, as well as the staff. MKS Learning Center is not for you, nor your child.

My child went to this school some time ago. Initially during the tour I was told that they knew how to handle kids with mild medical needs and that they had cpr certifications which was a lie. I left with them my son;s medicine and noted on the forms to administer that to him if needed and I will give him his daily med at home since he was diagnosed with epilepsy which I was assured at the time that they could handle it. On my son's first day he suffered a grand mal seizure a type of seizure that he has never suffered from before, shortly after I dropped him off early that morning. Most like from nervousness on the first day of school. I received a call not from the school but from EMS who were called out to either take my son to the hospital or that they can take him. So I left from home got there 5 min later( I stay close by) to see my son Alone in his classroom laying on the floor. I had him taken on to the hospital and I followed behind. Too angry to addressed what happened right then I came back a day or so later to address why my son wasn't given the meds left for him? Why let him lay on the floor alone for several minutes? Why not call me first? Where was the certified nurse they claim they had? Not only did the owner finally admit that they got scared and panic but they lied. WHILE i WAS TALKING TO HER IN THAT SMALL OFFICE FACE TO FACE SOME YOUNG CHICK WAS SEARCHING FOR MY PAPERS THAT I SIGNED, LIED AND SAID THAT SHE COULDN'T FIND IT BUT NOT ONLY DID SHE FOUND MY DOCUMENTS BUT STARTED SHREDDING THEM AS i WAS TALKING. When I understood what was going on I wanted to lose it but instead not only was this placed put on the 46 News channel but was addressed with the state Bright from the Start. Not sure how they are still open but I kept the 911 recordings and a personal copy of the documents that I signed as my own proof of what happened. Please do not be fooled not only question their certification but ask to see a copy of them. Make sure if your child has medical needs that they are CPR cert atleast! (Month long class) They will lie to you for your child's attendance.

My son started with MKS when was 10 months old. The teachers and the Freeman administration are like family. The school always smells good especially first thing in the morning with breakfast as they serve the children of all ages. Clean facility, state board currimulm based and staff is always patient friendly. In the Infant room Ms. Sylvester spoils the babies with tender loving care while making sure their feed timely. In the one year old classroom, Mrs Bernard goes above and beyond to treat every child special. Fun And energetic. And Mrs. Matthews is awesome, very structured and organized. I love that my son never hesitates to go her as he is now in the two year classroom. Any concern they never hesitate to address. Thank MKS for continuing to help me raise a bright young man.
