One star is even too much for this facility. I once loved this place and referred all my friends and family here. When my son went here over 10 years ago. Ever since the Bakers took over the place has gone down hill. This is the only location they own, so if you need childcare try another location where Ms. Teresa is still the owner.
My daughter was pushed out the door by staff over afterschool payments she was denied entry into the Pre-k program which is a violation by state law. Also, they don’t allow parents in the building (another violation) what are they hiding!? Spoke with the state Pre-k dept and QR staff both confirmed this location has many complaints.
When I asked for my funds to be returned, and wanted to talk about my child being assaulted by staff Crystal Baker replied “now you can answer the phone”. After they got word I called and filed a complaint against them, I was sent an email stating I couldn’t come on the property anymore. But that too was another violation because my child is still enrolled at the campus. Crystal Baker argued with state Pre-k attempting to disenroll my daughter because I filled complaints against her. As they let her know that was unlawful.
My daughter has come home singing, “shake your dreds, shake your dreds, shake them” and says she heard one of the teachers in the afterschool class playing that song. Just disgusting to say the least.
My child’s pants were pulled down by a student in her Pre-k class and Crystal Baker suggested that the child not sit next to my daughter anymore. Never reported the incident.
Please avoid this center at all cost! They are just operating under the Clarian Place name, totally not up to the standards the Clarian Place my eldest child once attended, try Northlake or Lawrenceville Hwy where they still live up to the name. Crystal and Todd Baker have brought shame to this once loved facility.
No wonder Crystal Baker gave herself 5 stars and it is still a 3 star review center! Run away!

We love Clarian Place. We’ve been here for three years, with three kids and we will stay with them through all their daycare years. Our kids consistently come home with new skills, knowledge and abilities. Our kids delight in going to school and are excited to go back. Crystal and her staff have been kind, generous and supportive to us since day one. We LOVE Ms. Alicia, Ms. Roxanne, Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Sasha and all the teachers. Crystal cares deeply about keeping the kids and their environment safe. We would and have recommended Clarian place to anyone with young kids needing daycare!

It's a business not a true daycare, all they care about is money. Not recommended

My children have been at this faculty for several years. We have found the staff friendly and caring and willing to work with you to solve any conflicts and help my children meet their goals. They welcome and actively seek parent feedback and are quick to respond to all communication. The center is very clean. My children enjoys going to school and truly likes everyone of their teachers. We know they truly care about my children which is a comfort.

Awful place. Please find another daycare for your child. We've had nothing but trouble in this place. The parent-teacher communication is inexistent, and when there is some, they accuse the parents of stuff or say "the child did x". And so what? What did you do? It's your job to deal with the situation. Over camera I could observe unacceptable behaviors from the teachers (constantly on their cell phone, not engaging with the kids), children sitting on tables with nothing to do for hours. My child's behavior went down south every single month that passed. Boredom, talking badly and hitting. There are very few toys, no plan or routine with the children. These are not educators, just clowns sitting there to wait that the day ends. When trying to work with them to solve issues, the parent is the bad guy. They are condescending and rude. We pulled out before greater damage was made to our child and can't be happier about our current place, realizing that all what happened here was not normal.

This camp had taken kids to the Stone Mountain Skate Rink, and all I can say that the way they were handling the kids and acting was dangerous and unacceptable. They dragged kids straight across the rink while the instructors wore either socks or normal shoes with no regard to the other skaters. Some of which just walked right out in front of me and a couple other people with (and without) children. After this, they let the kids literally crawl into the skating space from the middle of the rink where they had previously dragged them, which is extremely dangerous because they could get hit by skaters. Eventually they got the kids some of the square skate helpers, which the kids were basically falling all over the place with or pushing them, once again, on their hands and knees. This is again DANGEROUS, RUDE, and UNACCEPTABLE.On a more personal note, I thought that they were inconsiderate for acting like they owned the entire skating rink. I, and others, paid to skate that day, and the experience is really ruined when you have to stop every lap to try and not hit little kids crawling right out in front of you on their hands and knees, or, even better, try to not hit a full grown adult walking straight across the rink with no regard for other people.

I have called 5+ times from January - April to speak to someone regarding pricing and have not yet received a response. You can only get pricing from the owner but the owner is never available for a call and will not call you back even after you have left your contact info 5+ times for a callback. If it’s this difficult to reach someone for pricing, how can I trust they will be communicative with me as a client? Do yourself a favor and find another childcare facility to send your child.

My child has been at this faculty for several years. We have found the staff friendly and caring and willing to work with you to solve any conflicts and meet all goals. They actively seek parent feedback and are quick to respond to all communication through the pandemic they have been amazing at monitoring the health of all children and employees. They haven't had an outbreak. They are very clean. My daughter enjoys going to school and truly likes everyone of her teachers. We know they truly care about her, which is a comfort.

I am writing this with frustration at the moment because I can not believe what I just experienced. The facility, beautiful. The teachers, wonderful. The communication, fine, until today...My daughter was out last week for being sick. Turns out it's the start of Asthma. I called to update the school and let them know her COVID and RSV test were negative. I asked if a credit can be applied to which the person said "We dont typically do that, but if you provide a note , I can work something out." This is where I should have spoken to Crystal Baker (the director) directly to confirm. The money is not the problem here. It's what was said that completely took me out of myself. We dropped my daughter off this morning. The director called and asked for tuition. Immediately, there was an obvious misunderstanding. However, instead of the director apologizing and just reiterating that she wouldn't allow that. She asked me for the name of who said it (I just couldn't remember) and then proceed to call me a liar. To me, as a business person, it was just so rude and once I showed her how offended I was, (because I did raise my voice.) she still tried to double down and say "Every one here knows our policies."I understand that it's important to stand firm behind the business, it's policies, and the employees, but it means nothing when there is no integrity behind how you treat the customers who support your business.

I love Clarian Place and all the staff, specially Ms. Alicia! Sadly my toddler is not longer a student but only because we moved very far away. Otherwise, he would be there attending every day with so much love, he really liked going to school :)We love the staff, they handled COVID safety guidelines very well and that made me feel comfortable and most importantly; they loved my kid! He has learned so much, they gave me advice and keep me posted with his milestones. We speak a different language at home and he was doing great with both, Spanish at home, English at daycare and they were all very respectful and could understand him.The playground are is very nice and my kid loved it!! And I loved their app, you can keep track of your kid and watch them through the camera. He was attending since he was 8 months old until 3 years and 2 months. You are all the best!

We've had our grand baby at Clarion on Scott blvd in Decatur since she was an infant. She's now in their Georgia lottery pre-k program. My wife and I love the teachers and owners,Mr. & Mrs Baker. The teachers are responsive and caring. Therefore my wife and I can go about our day knowing our grand daughter is in a safe environment.I mean their safety measures are top notch, which is comforting to us.Even during the covid19 times we still feel our grand daughter is safe.Did I mention their Pre K program is top notch. Both Pre K teachers are working on their doctorate degrees in education. This continued education to improve their already bona fide skills impresses my wife and I.I have to say that Mrs.Baker is very caring and involved. She comes to the cars to pick up the children upon arrival. We often see her on camera in class dancing and playing with the children.Mrs.Baker will call us personally if our grand daughter isn't in class. And vice versa,we also have her personal phone number if we should need it! Lol,Mrs.Baker has even returned our calls when she's been in another country. My wife and I can't say enough great things about Clarion childcare;except we feel fortunate to have found this center!

We really love our experience with Clarian Place, and more importantly, our twins do too. They are so happy when they arrive at the daycare every morning and cannot wait to start their day there. It's also amazing to see how much they have grown and learned from being there.
We have had them at Clarian Place for almost two years now and know they are getting great care every day.
Many things make Clarian Place daycare so unique:
- The teachers put so much love and thought into how they care for the children, especially the owner Mrs. Baker. The activities there are fun and stimulating.
- The low child to teacher ratio really creates a very nurturing environment and builds close bonds among the kids and the teachers.
- The outdoor play area is amazing and huge and our boys are at the age (two) where they love to run and laugh and explore "outside".
- The twins love the food and snacks and we get a weekly menu so we can monitor what they like.
- We also love the fact that we can watch the kids on the video cam anytime we want.
We can't ask for more and would / do highly recommend Clarian Place to anyone who cares about their kids.

Pros: the daycare does a great job staying on top of temperature checking and keeping the classroom clean
Cons:
1. my 10 month old attended the daycare for two weeks and unfortunately it was not the right fit for multiple reasons. One of the things the daycare promotes is “At the end of the day we give you a complete record of your baby’s care, including sleeping, eating and diapering schedule”- not once did I receive such record (unless I missed to look somewhere).
2. The quality of the camera is poor and there were times I couldn’t even see where my infant was especially because they turn off the lights for a little over 2 hours for nap time. There was more than one instance where I could see my infant wide awake while the rest of the class slept which I understand it’s just part of the daily routine. However, as a parent I don’t like the idea of my infant being wide awake with nothing to do and being prompted to nap when she just woke up from a nap in a dark room.
3. Before attending this daycare my child enjoyed car rides and then I noticed that as soon as I would put her in her car seat she could not stand being seated. I work from home and one day I watched closely and she was strapped in a bouncer very close to 2 hours. That same day I pulled her out and found a different place where she is thriving, doesn’t cry at drop off and does activities throughout the day and the facility does not turn off the lights, there’s plenty of light for infants to roam around and the teacher sits in the middle of the class and puts all toys out to prompt play which again I did not see at this place.
4. Parents with infants have the right to show up at anytime- they have an open door policy. But not every parent has 10-30 minutes to wait for the door to be opened. If the owner/director was someone who is present at all times, you wouldn’t have the second director struggling and trying her best to keep the daycare afloat. In case of an emergency you only have one person in charge (again from my own observations) that’s not enough.
What I found very unprofessional is that I made sure to reach out to the director via email and via cell to give notice about my daughter’s last day and not once did she reply back. I know my email was received because I had to email again asking to please disable all camera access a week after she was no longer attending and I noticed it was done right away. If a child is not attending your daycare, that should be one of the immediate things you need to do, disable all access to the parent. The month was paid for, my daughter only attended less than two weeks. It was a contract and I get that but at least respond to make sure you received the notice provided by the parent.
I am not bashing this place, I am speaking on my experience. There’s always room for improvement.

My daughter has been going here since she was 5 months, and she loves it here! Everybody is so nice and friendly!
