It's beautiful on the outside side but outdated on the inside needs upgrading and rid of that old musky smell

Clean and proper train station. No fuss unless you take the bus. Any bus is just slow.

Would honestly give 2.5 stars. Have lived here for about 4 months and it’s been okay. You definitely get what you pay for with an older community. There’s very poor ventilation meaning mold literally grows throughout the apartment on the walls and festers in the bathroom all over the tiling. They don’t really give any solution besides spraying something on it and calling it a day which is concerning. The dryers in the laundry center have been out of service at least twice while we’ve been here and for several days at a time with no real answer on when they’ll be fixed. The first time they broke it was almost a week by the time they were fully functional again. Once they are finally fixed, everyone is swarming the laundry center since we are left without access for periods of time so it’s pretty difficult still and frustrating. Would consider just air drying my laundry but with such poor ventilation, really don’t feel comfortable bringing any extra moisture into my apartment. Good dehumidifiers for large spaces are pricey, so not really an option unless we decide to expense that ourselves. Have also heard of neighbors getting their cars/engines destroyed by nesting rats that frequent in the parking lots around the dumpsters but haven’t had too many issues in that regard.

I will start by saying these apartments were built in the 50s or 60s and I lived here for 1 year, 7 months. 1. Don't expect too much from quality of these apartments. The wood floors is what I liked about them but they creek alll the time, my roof was caved in a lil they did fix it but during my stay here my neighbor had here entire roof fall in! And they do lots of repairs on roofs. The bathrooms don't have proper ventilation besides opening the window, which led to mold in the bathroom. I let the maintenance know and they sprayed with bleach water, which I felt that was unacceptable because it's just a coverup and eventually will come back and did. They're the type of apartment that paints over dirt.... My tub started peeling a year in. 2. The ppl that work in the office are nice but it's hard to get a hold of them 3. I really like the neighborhood, it's a great location. 4. I'm from the west coast and never in my life have I seen big a** roaches like I've seen here, there were about 7 times where I seen them. The big a** roaches are outside by the sewer and also there is a rodent problem by a majority of the trash cans. This place is just alright. I was happy when I moved out

I love it here! Everyone in the leasing office are awesome and my neighbors are great. My kids enjoy the greenspaces all around the complex, as well as the garden. They say they would recommend, 10/10. :P

I would give a half star if I could. They convinced me to take my last review down, but I have absolutely had it with this place. I've been here for 11 months. They advertise amenities that aren't available (laundry room, featuring machines that are broken/not working 60%-80% of the time), they tell you they will (or have) fixed things, only for them to break again or never be fully resolved. There are rats everywhere. I won't even go into all the details of my previous review, but I have lost hope in this place. After all my complaints and requests, almost nothing has been successfully resolved. And on top of that, they still refused to even negotiate with me regarding a rent increase - keep in mind, the quality of living has gone DOWNhill since I moved in, but they still want folks paying $200 a month MORE for worse living conditions and amenities that never work. And then, when the washing machine eats $20 and doesn't dry your clothes, they won't even have the courtesy to refund you. Mostly bad, except for Theresa on staff, who is a living breathing angel.

Cons: This place needs some TLC. People leave their trash and abandoned outdoor furniture sitting outside of their units. Someone who works for y'all left the water running in the vacant apartment above me. The bathtub overflowed and leaked through my bathroom ceiling making a huge mess. The maintenance tech asked me to use my own personal towels to clean it up... The humidity in these apartments is unhealthy. I had to pay $200 for a large dehumidifier in order for mold to stop growing on my walls. The dog park is a mud pit and could be fixed by simply laying down wood chips. Lastly, there is a terrible rat problem. I see a ton of rats running around when I walk my dog at night.Pros: I enjoy my neighbors and it is a peaceful place to live with cool stuff you can walk to. Plus, the Avondale station is down the street.

One of the best renting experiences I’ve had to date! Brandy in the office made everything super easy for me from application to getting the keys. Quiet community, great neighbors, and affordable for such a highly sought after area.Have lived here for one year and just renewed my lease. Maintenance is fast and the office staff is so helpful! Can’t stress how great this community is!

Please don't rent here, with a dog. My experience: When I signed the lease, last April, I asked if it was OK to let my dog stay outside, tied up. I was told it was no problem. The hits keep coming....first the property manager called me and said I was not aloud to leave the dog outside. Please understand, my dog does not go outside unless I am home. I listen for her, and if I hear her barking, I bring her in. Regardless if it's been 5' or 15'. She does not stay out longer than 20". Then a month or so ago, 2 women from the office, showed up at my back door, asking who owns the dog outside. They knew the answer. I said I did. They said you cannot leave her alone. I said she's not alone, I am right here in the kitchen. A few weeks ago, I had a 30' lead for the dog. So she could move around and seek shelter. Someone cut the line. She has now, only 10 with which to move around. Then an Animal Control office comes to my apt. Tells me the office made a complaint. He asked to see the dog's vaccination records and my DL. I told him I was moving out next month. Last Wednesday I come home to find a notice on my door. A paper outlining the rules of having a dog....then a door hanger. The door hanger was from Animal Control. Officer Shuker signed it. At 9:44 am. The hanger said my dog was impounded due to being loose/or left unattended. My dog was in my bedroom, where she always stays when I am at work. I am sick and tired of this harrasment78! Is there anything I can do to stop them? I am moving, in about 4 weeks. I do not need this stress!!!! I am trying to re-home my dog. They KNOW this. Also, the lease says you can leave your dog tied outside, not more than 12 HOURS. I would never do that to my dog or any dog. Yet they keep harassing me! Also, there is no insulation in the floors or walls. My heating bill averages $250/month! I don't keep the heat greater than 72-73. When the furnace died, they were there within 2 days. They will not stop harassing me about my dog! I'm not sure if I am talking about the same place as the rest of the posters. This is at 703 Twin Oaks Dr and the rent is obscene. I'm paying $1400 for a 2 BR. It's going up to $1680. Please if you value your dog and your heat, do NOT rent here!

Close to Downtown Decatur, restaurants, and breweries within walking distance. Apartment complex is old, however, they are spacious compared to the newer apartments in the area.

The entire staff at this property are the most friendly and helpful! The moment you walk in through the door, you feel so welcomed. The location is perfect and super close to the Decatur square! Taylor has been amazing in helping me and my fiancé find a new home! The apartments are also really nice! Highly recommend to everyone!!
