A beautiful quiet oasis in a noisy world, a stay at the Darien Waterfront Inn will refresh and relax. Our room was spotlessly clean and opened to a wide welcoming porch overlooking the river. Our hosts were gracious, friendly and laid-back and the breakfasts were delicious.

We had a wonderful one night stay on our way to Miami. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. Our host was very accommodating and she prepared a little breakfast to go respecting our dietary needs.

Thank you JoAnn and Dave for hosting us. It was our first time visiting Darien, so we appreciate your tips for getting on the Sapelo tour and finding great dinner spots. Starting our day with your delicious breakfast and ending the day relaxing on the balcony outside of our room made for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!Walkability: The Inn is in a walkable area. There is a footpath that you can take directly to the Fort and into the town.

Purpose built B&B with a very accommodating owner. Room and en suite extremely clean. Views from the back porch were great. The breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay there again. We had dinner at Skipper's restaurant and it was very good. There are quite a few restaurants close bye.

We had a wonderful stay here. Everything was absolutely perfect - our room, the view, our breakfast & the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed every breakfast where we had terrific food and met so many wonderful & interesting people. The owners could not have been any sweeter. There were some regulars there during our visit & they said they come back because of the beautiful B&B AND because they love the owners. This is marsh country & the back porches offered beautiful views of the marsh. Plus, we were minutes from everything we wanted to see and do in the area. So we will be joining the "regulars" list - we'll be back!

Such a delightful B&B! We enjoyed a very peaceful evening sitting on the porch outside our room overlooking the picturesque marsh. Breakfast in the morning was simply delicious! Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and our room was delightful. We enjoyed a very restful sleep in the most comfortable bed.

Darien, perhaps overshadowed by Sea Island Jekyl Island and others, nevertheless is a gem, off the beaten track and offers a few surprises. The Waterfront Inn, a 5 bedroom inn is one of them. It offers a lovely escape from the Interstate 95 and congestion characteristic of other resort places The owner's JoAnn and David get most everything right, small but very comfortable rooms with all modern convenience that open onto a wide porch or patio and a view across the marshlands. The basics like towels are luxurious and beds and pillows most comfortable, quiet air conditioning conducive to a good night's sleep, no traffic and inconspicuous street lighting. Breakfasts are solid, fresh and provide a start to the day which could include a visit to an old Southern Plantation or a recreation of an 18th century historic coastal Fort. Staying here and not taking lunch or evening meals of shrimp and hush puppies at B&J's Fish Restaurant you will have missed one of life's real treats! Our experience was topped off, drinking a glass of wine on our porch at sunset and seeing a Bobcat slink out of the brush on the marsh edge and stretch out in the last sun's rays. Quite special.
