Tammy Smitherman at the Shugart Rd branch always goes above and beyond every time I need anything. She always answers her phone even if it is after banking hours. She needs a raise! Please keep her because she is an asset to the bank! If Tammy ever leaves, N-Law construction will follow her! We love all of the branch staff at Shugart. They need more help because they are busier than you think.Another great employee is Elizabeth Wright. She is always helpful and so nice to talk to.

Do not bank here. Horrible customer service. They do nothing to protect you or your account. They do not have draft protection in place. You cannot trust them with your money. When it comes time for your new card,you never get it in the mail. You call and they say they are on the way and they never arrive so you end up going to the bank and then are told oh we ran out of cards. That info would have been more useful 2 weeks ago before the current one expired. Just do not bank here. Also,the only ATMs are at their locations.

Worst bank ever. Cant receive instant deposit from cash app, nor are any deposit from atm made available if you needed it. No customer service available after 5. Holds your money. I will be closing this account first thing in the morning. This bank is useless. This bank is not updated on the banking process. I would avoid at all cost!!

Love this bank have had an account here for 15 years very nice bankers and haven't had any problems with my accounts any questions or if I needed help setting something up they are always more than happy to help I think this is a great bank

Today I was stranded when my car broke down in the middle of a parking lot. I popped open the hood, and I might as well have been staring at alien technology. I didn't know what to check. I gave it a couple thumps here and there, but when I turned it on, the engine spluttered a couple seconds before dying again. If it wasn't for this young man, I would have had to pay for a tow truck and a mechanic. He didn't have to stop and help; he could have gone home to enjoy his evening. When I tried paying him, he wouldn't accept it, and he said he was happy to help.The First Bank of Dalton is known for its great quality and customer service. I've heard a lot of praises for them. Sometimes it's easy to forget what an exceptional job local banks do. Not only can local banks provide a great quality of service, but it can also feel homier with the friendliness of a close-knitted community. Their employees are not only skilled, but they also embody our southern hospitality and a drive to help each other out. Keep up the great work!

Been banking here for almost 20 years. Will be closing my account this month. Service is now HORRIBLE. You can’t speak to a person period, there is always an excuse or you get voice messages. I will happily go to a bank that can answer the phone and treat you like a person and not a number!!
