I was very happy to find a place near my new home in Miami Shores, but unfortunately I will not be going back. First off, the owner is very unprofessional, she started screaming at one of her employees out of nowhere because apparently he told her the wrong time, allegedly because he wanted to leave. I understand her being upset about it because she turned someone down from doing their hair because she believed it was later than it was, but her, being the owner should be professional enough to not scream at her employees, even more so when there are multiple customers in her business. She also used way too much heat and it hurt. It reminds me of the people that do hair in Dominican Republic that use the highest setting and burn your scalp. The end result looked good, but she insisted I need to do keratin, even after I told her I like my curls and doing Keratin kills them. Lastly, she charged me $60, when normally I pay between $35-40 for a blowdry. She said it was because I flat ironed, had she told me that to flat iron it would cost more I would have flat ironed myself at home. I've never been charged extra for this. Oh and not to mention that they don't even take credit cards. Thankfully I had cash with me, otherwise I would have had to take out cash from the atm machine that they conveniently have in their business. What a scam!! It is very disappointing that this was my experience. They would have gained a loyal customer given that I live 5 minutes away. I'll stick to my usual place even if I have to drive 30 minutes.

I missed my initial appointment to get my hair braided. By choosing to go on a last minute trip. Nonetheless, I needed a Dominican hair salon, that I thought knew how to care for my neglected natural hair (I'm the bun girl). I was nervous because I hadn't put heat to my hair in 2 years. They exceeded my expectations and are affordable. 5 mins from my house!

This is not the address for this salon so disregard the reviews the address will take you to famous Dominican salon with a different owner. The owner Anna is sweet and still took me in after the guy gave me the run around I guess that's the owner of Margarita. Now I normally go to a Dominican salon in New Orleans and they do an awesome job, they lady who did my hair at famous did not do a great job it was half assed and a waste of money so I would never return just make sure they send you to the right salon before driving here
