Definitely the coolest, neatest, greatest little convenience store I've run across in years!!! We were on our way home from Blue Ridge - needed some gas, wanted some snacks, and dropped into this place. SO glad that we did! It definitely has a funk-a-delic 60's-70's type vibe with cool lights & stuff on the ceiling! I hope they NEVER take that stuff down. Plus, I noticed a nice selection of craft beers (I've included some poster shots of some of the more humorous offerings) - and our whole party (4) really enjoyed our impromptu visit here.I do know this:The next time we go visiting Dahlonega, we're stopping here just for the fun & uniqueness of it, plus the friendly proprietor! It's a cool 'tourist' stop - at the least! She was as sweet & cool as a person can be. It's not often a convenience store sticks in memory - but this one will! - and in ALL the right ways! Great job, staff, crew, owners, whoever! :-D

On Christmas eve we were staying at the barefoot hills inn, woke up 18 degrees inside an outside our room. The office was closed and no emergency phone number.I thought we were going to Die..With a woman and a dog depending on me I started driving down the road looking for something open on Christmas day, a house a store anything. That's when I found the Marathon! The really sweet lady listened to my situation and went to the back room handed my a new space heater handed it to a strangerRefused to take money!Merry Christmas to you sweet lady..Tom from Alabama

Very clean and friendly staff! They also have all kinds of local beer choices. Been gas from Disco station for Atleast 5 years and never had any issues at all. Love this place.

After a long day of chasing waterfalls down stressfully claustrophobic dirt roads, and having zero success, we happened upon the Disco Store. Though unassuming from the outside, once inside the style of the store and the sounds of Billy Ocean's Caribbean Queen (the full 7 minute version too, not the chopped up radio version) told us we had stopped at the RIGHT PLACE. This store was one of the highlights of our anniversary vacay, and we will be back to see the badass lady and purchase some more of her hard to find drinks and snacks!!

I've been a"regular" at disco marathon located just north of dahlonega for the past 5 almost 6 years. The owner and the people that work for her have been in many of my cases an absolute blessing. I can never give them enough praise for the help that they have given me. Her store is always clean, well run and convenient. And, they finally have the music pumping outside as well as in!!!! Now, if I can just figure out some way to get them to stay open just a bit later....LOL. Many thanks and gratitude to you all.

Absolutely terrible. I pushed the 87 button for gas & was charged the premium or 93 price. I explained to the clerk that the pump had overcharged & he refused to provide any help stating it was my problem & that I obviously pushed the 93 button. I asked if he would please dispense a small amount of gasoline to see for himself & he refused. He also refused my offer for me to pay to dispense a slight amount while he watched. In my opinion this station is stealing from the public & should be severely reprimanded.

I love this place! I’ve been going here for years and they always have everything I need on the go. Everyone who has worked here has always been super nice. They even put my favorite wine in the beer cooler for me and replace it every time I buy it so I always have a cold bottle waiting for me! They have the best selection of interesting beer and wine in town. I just love them.
