Do not bank here. They are prejudice, rude and unprofessional to the extreme! I attempted to cash a check written on Synovus bank and Ana Mihajlovic the Branch Service Supervisor at Hamilton Mill Office told me she could not cash that amount because she didn’t have the money and needed to order that amount of money and that it would take days. After questioning her what bank doesn’t have money, she told me she couldn’t give all her money to one customer. After questioning her again she said “Well I can give it to you in all $20 bills”… I told her that was fine but initially she kept saying she couldn’t cash the check at all. She then grabbed the counting machine and started placing large stacks of $20’s on it. The machine kept getting stuck and $20 bills were everywhere. She did not care at all! She asked me was the amount correct and I told her that I could not tell because the money was everywhere and not in any time of order. She started getting loud with me saying most customers don’t want $20 bills. I told her that I wasn’t most customers and she never gave me an option because initially she kept saying she couldn’t cash that amount. It obvious that this type of behavior is common in the branch because no one working there tried to deescalate anything. The other bankers just walked on by like nothing was happening. I am sorry Ana that my one day payout was more than you made all year long. I also asked for a receipt but was told they don’t give receipts. Another customer the same race as Ana witnessed it and agreed that Ana was very unprofessional and clearly discriminated against me and that corporate should be notified.

I have used Synovus for a HELOC in the passed but my experience this go round was very disappointing. I found no one seemed to understand requirements or wanted to be helpful. There were times where I would suggest or bring things up that I felt Synovus team should've been doing. I am def not a mortage expert but feel I knew more in some instances and felt really let down by the lack of expertise and the disinterest in getting things to workout. I'm currently working with someone else and haven't had any of these issues.

Refused notary services for not being a customer. Empty parking lot, no one else in bank.As a public official, a notary public should serve all of the public. The title is not notary private, for private customers only.

Awesome Bank! We are Synovus customers but have never visited this branch before. We had to notarize some documents last minute and chose this location as they had a notary on site. They immediately accommodated us when we arrived although we did not have an appointment. Val Love went above and beyond to help us. I highly recommend Synovus as a bank and highly recommend this branch as a local option.

They don't provide services, ie. Notary. If you are not a member. How else would they gain business if they keep non members out?

Mobile deposit wouldn't let me make a deposit it said I made my maximum deposits for the month!?! Why would you limit a deposit!?! So I called customer service and they hung up on me and it wound up costing me a lot of money . I will be closing my account Monday morning. Rudest customer service ever
