In my opinion, this is one of the best package stores in the area. The selection (including beer, juice, and mixers, which are in some places an afterthought) is excellent, and the employees are friendly, helpful and remember you. Unlike a "barn" place across town, here they do not needlessly check your ID every time you come in, after already having checked it initially and from recognizing you from years of coming in.

This is the place. Looking for something special....they have it. Need something special.....they will get it. Ask for something special.....they will tell you all about it. Knowledge, experience and service all in one. This is the place to buy your "higher then average" liquor!

Jay was very helpful and did a special order for me. He has a great variety of bourbons that are not marked up too much. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about liquor in the state.

Jay is a great store owner. He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about his products and gets some really special bottles in. If you're into bourbon, this is the place to find some gems.

Always a fantastic experience. They carry an amazing selection of wine and are highly knowledgeable about them all. They have never steered me in the wrong direction on a new wine and their prices are comparable to Total Wines...VERY affordable! So happy I live so close!

This is another continuation of my conquest for Blanton's. My best friend and one of his coworkers (which used to be one of my employees) scored 2 bottles of Blanton's, from this very store. My eyes LIT up. I needed (fyi, I was born in KY, and baptized in bourbon, if you ever wondered what my fascination is with it) it, and was willing to trade or pay top dollar. He was going to give a bottle to his neighbor, who takes care of his lawn and stuff. I told him, the minute you get rid of that, who knows when you will see it again! Stupid him, he got rid of it (I was going to trade him some decent 12 yr stuff too, kids these days...). The Liquor Shop is owned by a guy named Jay, who they say has the hookup with the distributors. If that is true or not, well, I have seen him carry some hard to get stuff, so maybe that isn't far from the truth. My first trip, I went up on Christmas day, and yes they were open! I think Jay's wife was there (my buddy joked and said it was his mom), I must have asked her 20 questions on what she had in stock or not. I even asked if the Weller on the top shelf was for sale- she said it was display only lol. Unfortunately I struck out on a lot of items, however, I did get the 1792 Full Proof, and the IW Harper 15 year (which I have had trouble finding). So, it was a nice little Christmas haul. I went back a few days later, and this time, I finally got to meet Jay himself. I talked to him for a few, and told him what I was looking for, and he told me he would help me out. He also showed me some stuff behind the counter, including an allocated Smoke Wagon Uncut. So, I decided to get it. At this point, I realized they have stuff everywhere, every nook and cranny filled- I learned in retail, whitespace is bad space! I then went back yesterday to see if I could find anything else exciting, and I think for the most part, I did- I noticed they had The Macallan Edition 6 (149$), and some Willett Pot Still Reserve, in the 750 and the 1.75 size. I just got the 750, but I told him I would see him soon! So glad I found out about this place, they have some hidden gems here, and it is just past the downtown area of Cumming off of 20. Worth the drive if you are looking for some hard to find brown stuff. Glad I have friends who keep me in the loop!

J always stocks my American Spirit Gold smokes for me, and he has let me know about a number of good bourbons and scotches. I buy all of our liquor here. I really like supporting small local businesses.

Jay is fantastic. Met him over a month ago passing through town. Both my wife & I own businesses and greatly appreciate hard working business owners. Stopped in again this past weekend and Jay was spot on with his bourbon & wine picks again. Will do business here everything time I am near Atlanta. Highly recommend this spot.
