In reply to the comment by Katie Dollar, our HS students have themes for all of their Varsity games. The game she is referring to was the "blackout" theme. So, students wore black and probably had black paint on their faces. We also do the same for "whiteout" themes. The students paint their faces white and wear all white. We also have "camo" themes, "America," "tropical" and other themes. It's good, clean fun, and really brings out school spirit. I inquired with administrators who were in attendance at this game, and there were no inappropriate comments shouted. Had there been, our administrators would have removed the students and reprimanded them. Thank you for this opportunity to reply! :)

I love this sweet school. The teachers and staff have become like family. My daughter loves her class and the faith formation is really beautiful. We are so thankful to be part of Pinecrest.

Absolutely awful school. My school just played Pinecrest in a volleyball game and the Pinecrest players were in full blackface and the spectators on the Pinecrest side were shouting awful comments. Hope this school gets banned from the league

pinecrest academy is a complete joke of a school. i could write for hours on the awful mark pinecrest has left on me, and my family. to keep it short. rampant racism, classism, homophobia, sexism, in the culture, and CURRICULUM. it is an AWFUL environment for children to grow up in. children feel ostracized for being at all different from their peers, and their teachers. everything is swept under the rug until a student of color, openly queer student, or a less popular student does something wrong. bullying is never addressed. constant harassment among peers is common. not to mention the double standards when it comes to EVERYTHING. also, the education is a joke. this school is private, so they can teach whatever d*** "curriculum" they want. basically, you pay to graduate pinecrest with passing grades. every kid in that school is passing. nobody has to work for a single grade. the classes are all practically clown classes, not teaching any real substance of material. your child will leave with no real world skills, social skills, or a proper education! quite literally, they are not meeting the georgia graduation requirements. the trauma i have seen this school inflict upon people is criminal. absolutely criminal. pinecrest academy should be single-handedly paying for my therapy. don't waste your time here. please put your child in any of the numerous highly ranked public schools in the area.

Our grandchildren have attended Pinecrest and are in 5th, 3rd and 2nd Grade, with a granddaughter planning to attend Kindergarten next semester. Wonderful, loving school with much success both scholastic and personal growth experiences. Very proud to be part of the Pinecrest community!

We currently have 5 kids at Pinecrest (6th, 4th, 1st, K, and PreK 4). We have been here for the last 6 years. Pinecrest has been a blessing for our family. We want a school that can help us bring the best version of our children, and Pinecrest has the best faith formation. We love the staffs, the teachers and the families. Thank you for all you do.

First the good, the curriculum is excellent and better than most public schools. Now the bad, this school fosters spoiled, entitled brats. My son was attacked on the playground in 6th grade and had to be taken to the emergency room with a sprained arm and the principle only gave a 1 day suspension to the kid who did this. The bullying is way way out of control here and the underlying culture is one of non accountability. Really "clicky" here as well so if your kid isn't with the "in" crowd, the classes are so small you can't hide. It was brutal for our son.

Pinecrest Academy does not provide what it claims. We have found that education is not their top priority. And for the price tag, that is extremely disappointing. If you are interested in your child receiving a strictly Catholic religious-focused education, at the cost of all other aspects of education, then Pinecrest may be for you. Read about who owns and runs the school — do your homework on Legionnaires of Christ, Regnum Christi and their schools. Another huge red flag for potential families is the turnover in leadership throughout the years. The Board has done a disservice to the students and teachers by lacking to keep in place a strong leader who can move the school forward and improve. They currently have no leadership, just interim who are under-qualified and place fillers. I wish I would've believed what I read about the school prior to sending my children there. With so many excellent private (and Catholic)) schools in GA, Pinecrest Academy is not one of them.

We love Pinecrest Academy! We have kids who have graduated, and kids still attending Pinecrest. Our oldest is thriving in medical school, and has a backbone of faith and integrity that Pinecrest helped us form in him as he was being prepared for life academically. Our younger kids at PA this year have the most caring and professional teachers who consistently go above and beyond to help them reach their potential, even in a pandemic. The community is positive, warm and faith-centered, and the administration and leadership is focussed on it's mission to educate and form leaders with strong faith, character and academic excellence.

Pinecrest is a wonderful school that my son loves and looks forward to going. The school is the perfect combination of structure but flexibility for the kids to learn. The school community is supportive and caring. My family is so happy to be part of Pinecrest Academy.

This is my daughter’s 13th year at Pinecrest- she started in PreK 4. We are so happy she could be back again this fall learning with her friends as a junior in high school. Pinecrest is doing a fabulous job keeping the students and staff safe while opening in person these last seven weeks. I feel very confident this will continue all year, because of the vigilance of their COVID task force and the dedication of the students, parents and staff to all partner together. That is just the great community Pinecrest is.

This school provides a wonderfully welcoming environment with strong academics and extracurricular activities. We are very happy here and can't imagine sending our daughter anywhere else.

Awful "Christian" environment. See how they treat their visitors in the attached photos.
UPDATE after they responded. I did call and didn't receive a callback. Just treat your visitors they way you wish to be treated. I think Christ said something along those lines.

While visiting this school for a football game, our band students were forced to play the stand tunes in the outside of the stadium away from the parents and team. This is completely disrespectful to all involved. Can anyone explain the reasoning for this?
