Our family met with Lucinda at Ducktown Retreivers over a year ago. My son, a hunter, was impressed with the performance and “fire” demonstrated by the DTR dogs. He decided to adopt one of Lotties pups and he couldn’t be happier. We have all been impressed with Lucinda’s continual coaching and informative emails and posts on social media. It was so helpful to see little Bella from the time she was born until our son took her home. Since we have had several labs, we know that Bella is a quality breed and will be both a good companion dog as well as a great hunting dog. Thanks, Lucinda for making this journey a fun and informative one.

Working with Lucinda has been a great experience. She kept in contact all throughout the process, and helped us pick the right dog for our crew. This is the 3rd dog I have known from Ducktown. I was fortunate enough to hunt over one of Lucinda’s dogs (Sage) at Habitat Flats in 2019. Sage had a a great mix of drive and demeanor. I called Lucinda soon after and got on her list. We recently got a female off Lottie and couldn’t be happier with her. She is a very sweet dog and has a high desire to please. I think a lot of the dogs attitude and demeanor come from how Lucinda raises them. Nothing surprises this dog. She isn't phased by new things or loud noises. I look forward to many years of watching her chase ducks. Thank you Lucinda!

All I can say is trust the process!! Lucinda did an incredible job communicating to us throughout and her guidance in selecting the right puppy for us was invaluable. I highly recommend Ducktown Retrievers if you are looking for a top notch breeder and top notch pups.

Lucinda is just amazing!! She prepared us so well before, during , and after we got our puppy! She also chooses the perfect puppy for you once she knows their little personalities and matches that with ours! I would highly recommend Ducktown Retrievers!!!

5 Star Breeders and 5 Star pups! Can’t say enough about Lucinda. She does a wonderful job keeping you informed (and excited) about the puppies birth, milestones, cuteness, etc prior to pick up. She also interviews each family to make sure they get the perfect pup for their family and then truly cares to know how it’s going once home! She went the extra mile to include a going-home bag equipped with medical note about their recent vet check, toy, puppy protocol, and more. She spent one on one time with each family to ensure that we were prepared for take home. Very grateful for her thoroughness and love for these pups! We just adore ours.

Lucinda at Ducktown Retrievers was a pleasure to work with while looking for my next hunting and family companion. Lucinda is very professional with picking out what dog is right for you when it comes down to picking a pup and truly takes the time to find out what dog is the best fit for your needs. She is awesome about keeping you up to date with what the puppies are doing and how they are improving. Working with Lucinda has been an absolute pleasure. She spent time talking with me to find out what I was looking for and kept me updated on possible litter matches. I knew when I got on her list it would be a process to get the perfect match but her puppies are absolutely incredible and worth the wait. She keeps you informed every step of the way from the puppies being born to puppy pick up. It was very exciting to get videos and photos as they grew and developed their own personalities. It’s such a relief knowing if I have any questions or concerns Lucinda is always there to help. She put so much work into her puppies and it really shows. I cannot recommend Ducktown Retrievers and Lucinda enough.

We’ve had a great experience with Ducktown Retrievers and Lucinda. From our first phone call with Lucinda we could tell the level of care and love she pours into her pups is exceptional. She kept us up to date with pictures and videos of the puppies up until the day we picked him up. She values the importance of matching the puppy with the right family and she couldn’t have done a better job matching us to Dozer. He is the perfect balance of family companion and high drive retriever. We are so in love with our new addition and we truly can’t recommend Lucinda and Ducktown enough!

I can't say enough good things about Lucinda and our experience with Ducktown Retrievers. She was always very responsive and willing to answer any questions we had during the process. Lucinda asked us detailed questions about what kind of dog we wanted for our family and Murphy is exactly what we were looking for. She loves her pups and kept us updated with pictures and videos throughout their time with her. We can't recommend her enough.

We were hoping for a great family dog and approached Lucinda with what we were looking for. Lucinda has provided us with a beautiful, loving sweet tempered dog. She is always a phone call away and has been very responsive anytime I had questions during the process. She puts a lot of time and love into her pups. They are exposed to wide variety of things in her care. When our pup came home he had a good recall command, a potty command and was somewhat familiar with a crate. That makes the first few days a lot easier! Our little guy is growing fast and we can't wait to spend the years ahead with him by our side. Thanks, Lucinda! He is a gift.

My wife and I lost of dog Allie on Monday, November 30 unexpectedly. By chance someone who worked for me sent me Lucinda’s information. After some time thinking about it I reached out to Lucinda and shared our story with her and she walked my wife and I through her processes. We immediately felt comfortable with Lucinda and put a deposit down. During the entire time Jetta was pregnant Lucinda provided updates on the progress. Once the litter was born Lucinda provided almost daily updates of all the puppies. Lucinda knew exactly what we were looking for in a dog. During her time with the puppies Lucinda picked out a dog for us and it is everything we were looking for and more. Addi is the perfect combination of energy and cuddling. She is absolutely perfect in every way. During this process we loved how Lucinda took the time to get to know us as a family and understand what we were looking for. I spoke to a handful of other breeders and never felt as comfortable with them as we did with Lucinda and her prices were almost a third of what were being quoted. If we ever decide to get another dog we will only work with Lucinda as her caring, understanding, and quality of lab is unmatched.

I would highly recommend Ducktown Retrievers if you are thinking about getting a hunting dog or family dog; or both. We've had our pup now for a little over a week and we are so happy with him. Lucinda York is the owner/breeder and is the best! She has a great program with proven lines of master hunters and takes the time to get to know you and your wants and needs. The whole process from whelping to puppy pick up was a great experience. You are sent updates of the litter with pictures, videos, and resources that help keep you excited and prepared for when you take your pup home.
