Awesome place if you love rats. Also if you love someone throwing rat poison into your rented unit without you knowing. Pretty great to open the door and run into a dead rat with half your stuff chewed into and open packs of rat poison spread around. Awful, disgusting place.

We moved our belongings into Spare box for 6 months. The entire time they had this rat infestation that damaged upwards of 8-10k to our belongings that had to be thrown away. Weeks ago they replied to my husbands review below and said they fixed the rat issue - this is majorly false. We moved our belongings out on Tuesday this week and threw away family heirlooms, children’s items, etc due to rat damage. They also said if we didn’t clear the unit out of the rat feces and the dead rats inside, WE would be charge $120 fee. They aren’t my rats or my problem. While moving our stuff into a U-Haul, a rat from the unit next door dropped into our unit via the ceiling and ran onto our U-Haul. We had to buy traps to catch it in order to not bring it to our new home. The rat we caught was huge. This has been a nightmare and management DOES NOT CARE. I repeat, THEY DO NOT CARE AND HAVE NO SYMPATHY. They will tell you “it’s not in our policy” “it’s against our policy”, etc.
The photos I’ve attached are only items we most recently had to throw away, we have had to throw away piles of things twice before too. This is also a massive health hazard.
We also moved out before the next month would be charged. And still got charged the next months fees. Not to mention getting in touch with anyone here is next to impossible. If you have a storage unit here, I highly recommend looking at your items. If you are looking to get a unit here, BEWARE. Find any where else to put your belongings if you care about them in the least bit.

Literally the worst storage place around. No one on property to help. Run by a big corporation who will call you with threats and extra charges if you don’t do what they say. DO NOT rent from them.

We have lost so much money due to the rat infestation. Moved all our stuff to another unit and the rats just came back. Absolutely disgusting and we are out thousands of dollars. I am so disappointed in this place. If I could give them ZERO stars...I would. We are spending our Saturday moving all our stuff to another facility.but first we have to dissenfect everything.

UPDATE: Called and spoke with a supervisor who used the word "infestation" during our conversation. They stated they were not responsible for the rats. We had to remove everything from our unit, re pack it and ended up throwing away hundreds of dollars of items due to damage from the rats.
I would give no stars if I could. We currently have items in an outdoor unit. We have had issues with rats running through the insulation from other units for months. A manager came out set traps, which have caught a few mice. Went by the unit today to find rat pee and feces all over the place. The unit reeks of rat pee. Holes have been chewed through our bags of clothing. And standing outside of our unit, we can hear rats running and moving in the closed units nearby. HORRIBLE.

Contactles sign up, move in and payments is only positive side of sparebox, facility lacking maintenance, often gate is open, lights not on at night, gate access screen nearly illegible, looks like nobody cares.
And the app is terrible, a clunky, featureless circle of uselessness ending in only real option is to pay your bill, of course, ha.
